Well beaten on debut at Wetherby (7f) and likely to need more time.

Verdict

FRENCH FLYER looked to have a very bright future ahead of him when making a winning debut over 6f here last month and he is taken to maintain his unbeaten record today. On breeding the step up in trip should not be a problem for the son of Pour Moi and may even bring about further improvement. Poet's Prince is an obvious threat based on his two second-placed finishes to date, while Gabrial The Devil is an each-way alternative.

Verdict

FRENCH FLYER can improve on his debut win upped in trip here and make it 2 from 2. Poet's Prince is the obvious danger after a couple of good efforts in defeat.

Has met with defeat just once and made a winning return in 3-y-o C&D handicap last month, showing a good turn of foot. Big shout taking on his elders.

Verdict

LOMU has only tasted defeat once in his four starts to date and the form of his C&D win last month has been boosted with the fourth-placed horse winning next time out. With that in mind, a 2lb rise for that success appears to be extremely lenient and further progression may be forthcoming. Be Kool won a valuable contest at York two starts ago and he was far from disgraced when fourth at the same track last time out. All of the others have some sort of chance but Luis Vaz De Torres is the pick of them.

Verdict

LOMU was suited by the emphasis on speed when making a successful return over C&D last month but looked full value for the improvement shown that day and can take his record to 4 wins from 5 starts taking on his elders for the first time here. Be Kool could be his biggest danger.

Maiden who fared better when third at Hamilton last time but work to do in this tougher contest now.

Verdict

Plenty of these arrive here with claims but the preference is for SEA OF GREEN, whose consistency this year has to be admired. This will be her 16th start of 2017 but she showed how well she is with a close third-placed finish at Carlisle on Thursday and the daughter of Iffraaj is only 5lb higher than when successful over C&D last month. Duncan Of Scotland and Metisian are other in form participants to note, while Danish Duke and Specialv also have each-way claims.

Verdict

METISIAN could be a sprint handicapper to keep on side following on from his comfortable Doncaster success and he can go in again here. Specialv and Duncan of Scotland are both C&D winners capable of big runs.

Got back on track when runner-up at Carlisle (11.2f) last month. Wasn't in same form at Hamilton subsequently but is still low-mileage and has to enter calculations. First-time visor applied.

Verdict

LUCENT DREAM remains relatively lightly raced for a horse of his age and the son of Teofilo does appear to be progressive. A win at Carlisle in June was followed by a neck defeat over C&D eight days ago and he arrives here 3lb well in this afternoon. Gerry The Glover has been knocking hard on the door of late and he should be thereabouts today, while Konig Dax and Rubis also make the shortlist.

Verdict

LUCENT DREAM would have benefited from a stronger gallop when only just failing to score over C&D last time and, with plenty of pace on the cards here, is fancied to get back to winning ways. Rubis and Powerful Love rate the principal dangers.

Respectable second of 5 in handicap at Ripon (8f, good to firm) last month, but overall record (1 win from 32) is rather off-putting.

Verdict

ROYAL SHAHEEN has yet to win since switching from Andreas Wohler's yard in Germany last year, but he ran a solid race over C&D off this mark last time and a first-time visor might spark the required improvement. Jumira Prince also sports new headgear and could leave his disappointing effort at Haydock behind as a result, while Billy Bond hinted at a return to form when second at Ripon last time and is 1lb lower in this.

Verdict

This can go to C&D winner INGLEBY ANGEL, who figures off a handy mark and produced his best effort this season when runner-up at Beverley last time. Royal Shaheen and Jumira Prince are also of interest in a tricky-looking event.

Creditable placed efforts last twice and goes well here (4-time course winner) but looks vulnerable off this mark.

Verdict

Sophie P was second in a Listed contest here in May before filling the runner-up spot again over C&D last time, while Nicholas T won a pair of C&D contests before struggling on soft ground at Hamilton latest. Zabeel Prince is a lightly-raced four-year-old who hasn't finished improving yet, but CENTURY DREAM gets the vote. The three-year-old was impressive when winning at Doncaster last time and his weight-for-age allowance makes him an attractive proposition against his elders.

Verdict

Plenty of recent winners on show here including ZABEEL PRINCE, who was gelded over the winter and posted improved form when landing his maiden at Nottingham last month. Further progress is on the cards, and he is taken to make a successful handicap bow. Century Dream and King's Pavilion look the big dangers.

No sign of improvement when stepped up to 12f at Pontefract last time and hopes rest on first-time blinkers having desired effect.

Verdict

Sir Mark Prescott does well when stepping his horses up markedly in trip for their handicap debuts, so Easy Wind has to enter the reckoning, while Sepal has plummeted down the handicap so could be a factor up in trip. The hat-trick seeking Donnachies Girl has claims after a pair of Hamilton successes, but preference is for BELL OF THE BALL. A winner over timber at Downpatrick last month, the Irish raider went close off this mark in a similar contest over C&D last term.

Verdict

DONNACHIES GIRL looked value for more than the winning margin when scoring for the second time at Hamilton at the end of last month, and gets the nod in what looks an interesting finale. Easy Wind is well entered up in the coming days and has to be feared on her handicap debut, whilst Irish raiders Ruth Melody and Bell of The Ball are also respected.
