Tamayuz colt. Dam unraced half-sister to smart winner up to 7f Galeota. Eighth of 10 in minor event (8/1) at Nottingham (6.1f, good to firm) on debut 32 days ago. Likely to improve.

Verdict

Chuck Willis has some decent experience in the book having chased home leading Windsor Castle fancy Queen Of Bermuda when third on debut at Windsor and the extra furlong here should play to his strengths. That said, Mark Johnston has had an excellent start with his juveniles and INDIAN SOUNDS gets the vote. He is out of a Listed winner and can get off the mark at the first time of asking. Others to consider include Ramesses and Lewis Slack.

Verdict

It's hard to look beyond CHUCK WILLIS, who was running on late over 5f at Windsor on debut nearly 3 weeks ago, and can only improve. Indian Sounds and Ramesses are both interesting newcomers, however, and they could provide stiff opposition, particularly if the market speaks in their favour.

Career best when winning 9-runner handicap at Beverley (7.4f, good to firm, 6/1) 14 days ago, having run of race. Can give a good account.

Verdict

GANGLAND has improved with each outing this term and there could be more to come having relished the extended 7f when scoring at Beverley latest, so a 5lb rise could underestimate him. His stable companion Regulator has some very solid form in the book and is respected on his handicap debut, while Maksab went up 6lb for a Newmarket handicap success and completes the shortlist.

Verdict

GANGLAND was a comfortable winner at Beverley 2 weeks ago and remains unexposed at this trip, so shades the vote over Byron's Choice and Humble Gratitude in a tight event.

Verdict

MORDIN has shown a very respectable level of form in five starts and he continues to rise up the ratings despite finishing second the last twice. He looks to have more to come and the son of Invincible Spirit can get the better of Mooltazem, who has improved for a drop back to 1m2f on his last two starts, and Oasis Fantasy, who looks fairly treated on the best of his form.

Verdict

MORDIN is still on the up despite just falling short on his last 2 starts, and remains one to be positive about. Oasis Fantasy is on a long losing run but his latest second at Brighton was a step back in the right direction off a reduced mark.

5/6, didn't need to be at best when winning 4-runner claimer at Wolverhampton (9.5f) 15 days ago, easily. First run for yard after leaving Heather Main.

Verdict

Nicholas T ran on strongly to take second over 10 furlongs at Redcar, but is obviously effective over a mile as he landed this prize last year. Balestra has won back-to-back races over 7f of late but is also a winning miler, while Masham Star has form over this trip and went close over 7f here in May. However, it could be worth taking a chance on JAY KAY, who is entitled to come on for his reappearance at Leicester and has won six times at this track.

Verdict

NICHOLAS T was a fine second at Redcar last time and looks ready to strike again back at a venue he has a good record at. Kings Gift and Balestra head the dangers.

Verdict

MRS GALLAGHER may have found the likes of subsequent King's Stand second and third Battaash and Mabs Cross far too hot at Haydock last time, but she is already a dual winner at Listed level and could dictate matters from the front here. Equimou was fourth behind Muthmir in a Haydock Listed contest and should go well again, while Tricksy Spirit overcame a poor draw to go down by less than a length at Sandown and might fare even better here.

Verdict

MRS GALLAGHER found the Temple Stakes too much last time but can resume winning ways back in much calmer waters. Sandra's Secret continues to thrive and rates the biggest threat ahead of fellow-improver Rebecca Rocks.

Verdict

My Reward saw off Final at Pontefract but may not confirm that superiority on 3lb worse terms, especially now that the runner-up has an outing under his belt. Final's trainer Mark Johnston also has sound claims with the reliable Star Of The East, while Brandon Castle numbered Ayr specialist Euchen Glen among his Musselburgh victims but has struggled at Ripon since. NORTHWEST FRONTIER has been a revelation since being raised to 2m and there should be even more to come from this upwardly-mobile stayer, who can complete the hat-trick.

Verdict

The vote goes to NORTHWEST FRONTIER, who has improved upped to 2m the last twice, bagging handicaps at Nottingham and Ripon. There's no real reason to believe that he won't be equally effective back at this trip and the hat-trick beckons. The consistent Kelly's Dino has to be feared, as do several others, including the Mark Johnston-trained duo Star of The East and Final.

Verdict

Shaheen had a subsequent winner back in fourth when regaining the winning thread at Pontefract recently, and attempts to follow up off a 4lb higher mark. He does have ground to make up on EQUITANT, who was ahead of him at Haydock previously and has since run well again at the Merseyside track. Star Cracker got going too late over 5f here on Monday, whereas his stablemate Tommy G drops back in distance after performing slightly below his best over 7f at Musselburgh.

Verdict

SHAHEEN looked a potentially useful prospect early in his career and, while his progress stalled for a while, he resumed winning ways at Pontefract last time. Based on the way he travelled there's more to come from him now things have clicked, so he gets the vote ahead of fellow in-form pair Star Cracker and Equitant.
