Fair filly. Winner at Lingfield in July. Fifth of 8 in nursery (12/1) at Chelmsford City (5f) 22 days ago. Has good chance on pick of form.

Verdict

QUEEN OF SCHEME almost sprung a surprise when only a length away in a competitive seller at York on her last outing earlier in the summer, and Ollie Pears' filly could be the one to side with in what looks an easier contest. Elieden has been running with credit in France lately and is interesting back on home soil, while Four Wheel Drive has some respectable form at this distance and is also considered.

Verdict

ELIEDEN posted just about her best effort yet when fifth in a French maiden last month and is taken to open her account down in class here from stall 3. Queen of Scheme hasn't been treated so kindly by the draw, but she is nevertheless feared most on the back of her improved effort in a big-field York seller. North Korea has a good chance on these terms and is also on the shortlist.

Verdict

The way in which CAPE ISLAY saw off some highly regarded rivals at Epsom, drawing clear to score by five lengths, suggests she should be more than capable of conceding 7lb to the opposition here to follow up. Katiejay caught the eye when third at this circuit last time and could have a part to play, while Olivia R and Mot Juste appear potential improvers.

Verdict

CAPE ISLAY stepped up on her debut effort when landing an Epsom maiden by 5 lengths last month. She remains open to further improvement and a penalty may not be enough to prevent her from going in again. Air Force Amy made an encouraging start at Ascot and will be a threat if able to build on that, while Mot Juste and Olivia R are others to consider.

Verdict

MARRONNIER wasn't beaten far in a trappy heat at Epsom last time and having mixed it with some useful opposition that day, could be capable of taking the spoils in what appears an easier task. Mark Johnston does well with his youngsters here and his Rock Up In Style should be suited by the return to seven furlongs, with Northern Lyte another to note stepping back up in distance.

Verdict

NORTHERN LYTE failed to land a blow at Carlisle recently, but it could be that the combination of the drop in trip and soft ground counted against her on that occasion. She shaped well when runner-up over 7f on her Redcar debut and a reproduction of that would probably suffice. Marronnier made a fairly encouraging start to her career at Epsom and is next best ahead of Rock Up In Style.

Promising individual. 2/1, improved on recent efforts to win 8-runner handicap at Newmarket (10f, good to firm) 26 days ago, well on top finish. Up in trip. Expected to be bang there.

Verdict

Weather Front has won four handicaps so far this year and remains unexposed over this sort of distance, while Be Perfect ran well for fourth at Thirsk and should enjoy this better ground. Winston C is interesting on stable debut for Harry Fry after a long absence, but MATEWAN could be a stronger candidate. Ian Williams' charge got off the mark well at Newmarket and will have more to offer on just his seventh appearance.

Verdict

ESKENDASH won well at Ripon in July and then ran with credit at Newmarket last month. He finds himself back in slightly easier company here and may be able to add to his tally. Matewan is a dangerous younger opponent who may go closest of the rest. In-form Weather Front would also be dangerous to rule out.

Fair filly. Blinkered for 1st time, respectable third of 9 in nursery at Carlisle (5.9f, heavy, 7/2) 7 days ago.

Verdict

Summer Blossom and Sabai Sabai represent powerful yards but have had a few chances now and don't seem to be progressing, while Abuja looked badly in need of the experience when failing to beat a rival home at Salisbury. This could be at the mercy of ENCHANTED LINDA, who showed a nice change of gear to get off the mark at Ffos Las 16 days ago. She enjoyed the drop to 5f there and will be tough to beat.

Verdict

SABAI SABAI has to overcome a disappointing run at Leicester but if she repeats her Newbury or Goodwood form, she'll take some beating from stall 1. Summer Blossom sets a solid standard and may be the greatest danger. Enchanted Linda is drawn widest of all but still may be able to make the frame.

Verdict

Bondi Beach Boy has been narrowly beaten over track and trip the last twice and is handicapped to go well, despite a 2lb rise, though he does have stall 10 to overcome. Preference is for TRICKY DICKY, who is berthed in stall three, rattled the crossbar on the all-weather last time, and is weighted to strike off a 17lb lower turf mark. David's Beauty and Van Gerwen are others to consider from low draws.

Verdict

MUSHARRIF has a fantastic record over C&D and it's even better in big fields like this. He is likely to make a bold bid once again after winning here at the start of the month. Fumbo Jumbo could have her last run ignored and she may get involved from a decent draw. Van Gerwen hinted at a revival last time and may make the frame.
