Course winner. Twelve runs since last win in 2016. Good third of 10 in handicap at this course (6f, good, 33/1) 45 days ago, suited by way race developed. Others more persuasive.

Verdict

HARLEQUIN ROSE arrives here following back-to-back second-placed finishes at this track and she can be supported to go one better in what appears to be a winnable race. Baby Gal is another who has been knocking on the door of late and she could pose the biggest threat to the selection, ahead of Lady Marigold and Captain Sedgwick, who sports a first-time hood.

Verdict

Though yet to get her head in front away from Lingfield, ARCTIC FLOWER is appealing on the back of her encouraging effort in a better-class handicap than this when returning from a break at Epsom recently. She's now 8 lb below her last winning mark and is marginally preferred to Harlequin Rose, who has been knocking on the door here of late. Baby Gal and Captain Sedgwick are others with claims.

Foaled March 25. Dick Turpin filly. Dam 1¼m winner. Probably best watched on debut.

Verdict

GASLIGHT has improved with every start to date and she is clearly the one to beat following her short-head defeat at Lingfield earlier in the month. Wolf Prince was far from disgraced on his debut and Amy Murphy's gelding is fully entitled to improve for that experience. Limelighter failed to fire at York last week but is a player based on his effort here prior to that, while Canford Dancer and Water Diviner also have valid form claims.

Verdict

While ARMS OF THE ANGEL is bred to come into her own over middle distances as a 3-y-o, she showed more than enough on debut at Newcastle to suggest that there are races to be won with her before this year is out. She gets the nod ahead of Gaslight, who appears to be getting better with experience, the promising Wolf Prince and Water Diviner in a race likely to produce several future winners.

Once-raced maiden. Last of 8 in minor event (50/1) at Kempton (6f) on debut 21 days ago. Hard to make a case for on the back of that display.

Verdict

Napanook sets the standard on form but he is the most exposed of these and the fact that he has finished second in four of his six starts to date is a concern. With that in mind, preference is for PUNJAB MAIL, who took a big step forward on his second start and he may have more to offer. Denis The Diva has displayed promise in both previous starts and he is the pick of the remainder.

Verdict

PUNJAB MAIL left his debut well behind when finding just one too strong at Kempton 10 days ago and is an appealing alternative to likely favourite Napanook, who sets the standard on form but is starting to look a shade exposed. Congress Place's introduction last week at Chelmsford was not devoid of promise and she is most interesting of the remainder.

Verdict

The hat-trick seeking pair of Channel Packet and KIRKLAND FOREVER could dominate this contest but the latter gets the nod because her victories have been more decisive. In addition, those wins have come at this track and the drop in trip from 1m4f should not be a problem. Altaira is arguably at his best at Bath but the seven-year-old could pick up some prize money.

Verdict

KIRKLAND FOREVER has landed 11.9f handicaps in good style here the last twice and, unpenalised following the second of those victories last week, she should prove a tough nut to crack. Fellow hat-trick seeker Channel Packet is likely to emerge as the main danger, while the likes of Altaira, Rocksette and Sussex Girl can do battle for minor honours.

Course winner. Winner here in May. 25/1, ninth of 12 in handicap at Epsom (8.5f, good) 18 days ago. Not easy to make a case for.

Verdict

Fieldsman and Zeshov both make the shortlist following recent victories but the penalties they carry make life tougher. CHLORIS makes her handicap debut on her first start for Ed Vaughan and she may be underestimated by an opening mark of 69. De Vegas Kid has already been successful five times this year and he cannot be discounted, despite a moderate effort last time out at Epsom.

Verdict

THE WARRIOR's strike rate is hardly compelling, but he's put his best foot forward in this headgear combination the last twice and, still on a fair mark, he could be the answer to an open-looking handicap. Rampant Lion is next on the list ahead of recent Pontefract winner Zeshov and Zaajer.

Still in contention when unseating rider in handicap at Kempton 17 days ago. Yet to score after 8 attempts, though.

Verdict

RUX RUXX went close to returning to winning form on her latest outing over 7f at Chelmsford and there could be the potential for more to come as she steps up to a mile. Stormingin has been a model of consistency in 2018 and could benefit from the application of first-time blinkers, while Chess Move is respected having performed well on his sole outing here in May.

Verdict

Plenty with claims here, including RUX RUXX, who was only just denied at Chelmsford last time and should appreciate the step up in trip here. Poetic Force and Stormingin rate the principal dangers.
