Verdict

ENTERTAINING BEN has been in good order the last twice, including when third here over course and distance last time, and despite a further 2lb burden from the assessor the key clue to his chances comes with the booking of Silvestre De Sousa in the saddle. Spanish Star was beaten less than a length at Salisbury last month and is dangerous off just 1lb higher, while track and trip winner Sandfrankskipsgo and Hurricane Alert are others to consider.

Verdict

ENTERTAINING BEN went off too hard here last time and remains in form. He gets the vote with Silvestre De Sousa now up. Sandfrankskipsgo looks the main danger.

Half-sister to several winners, including useful 11.6f-2½m winner Leg Spinner and useful 5f-1m winner Togoville. 20/1, second of 11 in minor event at Newmarket (6f) on debut 25 days ago. Big shout.

Verdict

It is interesting that Luca Cumani's STORMY ROAD steps straight up to a mile having run with credit when second over six furlongs on debut. The Gale Force Ten filly, who is a half-sister to Cesarewitch winner Leg Spinner, is sure to appreciate the step up in distance and it would be no surprise should she build on her Newmarket bow. Al Mortajaz has been consistently going close and should appreciate this test, while Loving Pearl has to be respected on what she has shown so far.

Verdict

STORMY ROAD made a very encouraging start at Newmarket 3 weeks ago and could be hard to beat if building on that as expected. Middle distances will be Loving Pearl's forte, but she's run good races over this sort of trip, well backed at Lingfield last time, and is the big danger to the selection.

Lightly-raced maiden. 40/1, seventh of 8 in handicap at Bath (10.2f, firm) 48 days ago.

Verdict

Course and distance winner IBALLISTICVIN, who has been running consistently well of late, would arguably have been in the winner's enclosure if not squeezed for room and coming to grief at Lingfield last time and if none the worse for that altercation, he could gain compensation here. Pour L'Amour is sure to be thereabouts on current form and has finished second over track and trip off 1lb higher earlier this season. Betsalottie and Zoffany Bay, who has the assistance of Silverstre De Sousa, could also get involved.

Verdict

IBALLISTICVIN may have won at Lingfield but for falling late on and can gain compensation if none the worse for that experience. Threediamondrings shaped better than the bare result at Wolverhampton last week and is respected. Zoffany Bay will be suited by the return to this sort of trip and will likely be popular under Silvestre De Sousa.

Lightly-raced maiden. 11/1 and visored for 1st time, fourth of 7 in handicap at Lingfield (7.6f, good to soft) 10 days ago. Significantly back up in trip. Has work to do.

Verdict

BREXITMEANSBREXIT has been given plenty of experience so far and having placed in her last two outings, now campaigning at distances around 10 furlongs, can go one better to get off the mark. Rocksette has played a leading part in the majority of her outings, including twice here over track and trip, and she is interesting on her first start for Gary Moore. A career best from Atomic Jack could see the Nathaniel gelding also get involved.

Verdict

ROCKSETTE caught the eye again at Lingfield last month and might be able to make a winning start for Gary Moore. Brexitmeansbrexit is the danger.

Verdict

MAMILLIUS has a stellar record at this venue and the regular has not been disgraced here on three further visits since winning here off just 1lb lower than his current rating. Course-and-distance winner Wotadoll must be respected having gone close at Windsor last time, while Pontefract winner Walk On Walter may be able to bounce back to his best back down in trip and returning to turf.

Verdict

A trappy race with WOTADOLL the selection despite being out of the handicap. She was back to her best when second at Windsor last time and won impressively here last autumn. Mamillius has been in fine form at the track this season and should go well again.

Verdict

Dream Catching was slightly disappointing when sent off favourite at Ffos Las, looking to build on his useful Newbury run the time before. Therefore DUSTY makes more appeal following a useful run behind a runaway winner at Salisbury and could make a 1lb lower mark count here. Mr Gent is 1lb lower than when second at Kempton, when producing his career best, and could be another to play a part.

Verdict

Probably a match between DUSTY and Dream Catching, with Mick Channon's filly getting the vote having been second to a winner who ran to a rating of 92 at Salisbury last week.

100/1, first run since leaving Marcus Tregoning when tenth of 11 in handicap at Wolverhampton (8.6f) 22 days ago, badly hampered.

Verdict

David Loughnane's gelding LORD MURPHY has gone close the last twice and as he remains on a mark just 3lb higher than when last winning, he should be on the premises once again. Mr Andros was beaten just a neck last time at Wolverhampton and is interesting if the step up to a mile and a return to turf are in his favour. Shifting Star is just 1lb higher than when scoring over course and distance back in May and the track regular is another to note along with Narjes, whose rating continues to slide.

Verdict

MR ANDROS ran his best race for a long while when second at Wolverhampton last month and has a big shout under Poppy Bridgwater, who was among the winners at the August Festival here a fortnight ago. Lord Murphy is a big danger.
