Thrice-raced maiden. 100/1, eleventh of 12 in minor event at Kempton (7f) 50 days ago. Makes handicap debut.

Verdict

HIC BIBI put in a career best when making a winning handicap debut at Kempton earlier in the month and a 4lb rise in the ratings may not be enough to stop her from going in once again. Watching Spirits is another who arrives here on the back of a peak effort when last seen on a racecourse. Others to consider are Moremoneymoreparty, Mossketeer and Royal Crown.

Verdict

HIC BIBI took a step forward when striking on her handicap bow at Kempton and, again drawn to attack and with a 4 lb rise fair enough, she is taken to repeat the dose. Mossketeer missed the kick when a respectable fifth in a similar event at the aforementioned venue and, likely to benefit from the return to this trip, he is feared most. Watching Spirits is also worthy of consideration.

Foaled April 23. Captain Gerrard filly. Half-sister to 5f/6f winner Defining Moment. Dam maiden half-sister to useful 1¼m-1½m winner Headline News. Probably more of a long-term prospect.

Verdict

IL PRIMO SOLE has shown a high level of ability in all of his starts to date and the son of Raven's Pass was an unlucky loser at Lingfield last time out. Music Society was unfortunate to bump into a useful rival, who won his next three starts, when finishing second on his debut back in July. Jahaafel cost 400,000 euros at the breeze-up sales earlier in the year and is a newcomer to note.

Verdict

It will be interesting to see what the market makes of STRANGE SOCIETY and Jahaafel, both of whom look the part on paper. Preference is for Hugo Palmer's charge, who is out of a 2-y-o winner and may be the sharper of the pair first time out. Il Primo Sole is the one to beat but stall 12 could make things tricky, as could his penalty. Music Society is also entitled to respect.

Verdict

JUST FOR THE CRAIC will be hard to beat if he can transfer the form of his Bath win last time out to the all-weather. Magic Pulse has an obvious chance based on her second-placed finish at Kempton a few weeks ago. Cool Baby has been running well enough in novice events to suggest that she can go very well in a race of this nature.

Verdict

Dropped to 0-65 company for the first time, BLESSED TO EMPRESS looks the one to be on. She probably would've gone close but for encountering traffic problems at Lingfield last time and races off the same mark here. Magic Pulse has to be feared on the back of an improved display at Kempton and dual turf winner Just For The Craic also enters calculations.

Verdict

FINAL TREAT still appeared to need the experience when behind two potentially smart Group standard types at Newmarket a month ago and could have too much class for this opposition. William Haggas is 8-30 with two-year-olds at this venue and can enhance that record here, most likely at the expense of Perfection, who looks best of John Gosden's quartet of runners. Phantasmic cost 675,000gns as a yearling 13 months ago and certainly merits a market check.

Verdict

Several of these have already shown a fair level of ability but newcomer PHANTASMIC appeals most. Indeed, she boasts a superb pedigree and the hint should be taken if the market speaks in her favour. Final Treat is just about the pick of those with experience, while Perfection is another likely-looking debutante.

Verdict

Experience could be the best way to go here and the in-form Ian Williams can strike with MIRACLE GARDEN from an excellent draw in stall one. The five-year-old couldn't quite get up against course and distance expert Pearl Spectre last time out and should appreciate this step up in distance. Titan Goddess seldom runs a bad race here and should go well once more, while first-time cheekpieces could spark a revival from three-year-old William Sayle.

Verdict

MIRACLE GARDEN was unlucky not to get his head in front over 7f here last week and, with this step up in trip a good move, he is taken to strike off the same mark. The selection may have most to fear from William Sayle, who was too free upped to 10.2f when returning from a break at Nottingham and better is expected back down in trip here. Dashing Poet and Titan Goddess are others with claims.

Verdict

EAST COAST LADY has been in excellent form of late and showed a great attitude when forcing a dead-heat at Windsor last month. She has gone up 3lb for that effort and should handle the return to the all-weather. Daring Guest has been very consistent recently and should post another solid performance, while Champagne Bob and African Blessing both have every chance on their recent form.

Verdict

A chance is taken on THAQAFFA, who hasn't been firing on all cylinders of late but is now 4 lb below his last winning mark and he could take some pegging back. The hat-trick seeking East Coast Lady needs a career best off this mark and bigger threats may be posed by African Blessing and Fredricka.
