Motivator filly. Sister to 2 winners in France, including 1¼m winner Mareena and half-sister to several winners, including useful 2-y-o 1m winner Blaise Castle.

Verdict

SACRED PATH has filled second place in both of her previous starts to date and she could be hard to beat in a race of this nature. Napoleonica is another that has already displayed promise on the racecourse, especially when finishing third on her debut at Windsor in May. Via Delle Volte is closely related to plenty of winners and is a newcomer to note, especially if there are positive market vibes.

Verdict

Hard to look beyond SACRED PATH, who has shown plenty of promise to be second on both starts to date, running to a fairly useful level. Laughing Stranger and Qayed can fight it out for minor honours.

Verdict

BLAME CULTURE has a good record on the all-weather and this 82-rated colt should be hard to beat if running to form this afternoon. Mutanaasib was not disgraced on his debut over 7f here recently and he should be in the mix with that experience under his belt. Any market support for Autumn War, Awalii or Brilliant Riposte would have to be noted on their racecourse debuts.

Verdict

BLAME CULTURE sets the standard, including on form shown in a handicap last time, and is the one to beat. Cottingham and Autumn War are newcomers to note, however.

Verdict

Quiet Endeavour has to be respected following his victory over this course and distance last month but his 4lb penalty leaves him vulnerable today. SHANGHAI GRACE was less than a length behind the winner when he filled second place on his debut at Windsor and he is fully entitled to improve for that experience. Calling The Wind and Such Promise are arguably the pick of the newcomers.

Verdict

SHANGHAI GRACE made a promising start at Windsor 3 weeks ago and should be up to winning a race of this nature. Quiet Endeavour is equally promising, but has a penalty to shoulder, in a race the pair could well dominate.

Verdict

C&D winner Pretty Bubbles was touched off by a neck off this mark at Windsor and wouldn't need to find much improvement in order to score, though preference is instead for MAD ENDEAVOUR, who makes strong appeal on his neck second over this trip at Lingfield in April and is entitled to come on for his run at Wolverhampton last month, when drawn wide. Burren View Lady is also respected on her second run for a new stable.

Verdict

BURREN VIEW LADY shaped as though needing last month's stable debut at Chepstow, so there's every chance she will step up on that and she figures on a tempting mark returned to the AW. Onefootinparadise and Pretty Bubbles arrive in form and head the opposition.

Verdict

Ziarah is fitted with a first-time visor after scraping home by a short-head over this trip at Wolverhampton last time and is expected to be thereabouts at the finish, despite a 5lb rise. Narrow preference, however, is for FAKHOOR, who struck on his first start over 7f at HQ last time and is open to more improvement over the trip. The Chemist has been in good order in novice company and could also take a hand on her handicap bow.

Verdict

FAKHOOR showed a willing attitude when edging out a next-time-out winner on recent handicap debut at Newmarket and a 4 lb rise looks lenient. This is a group to be positive about though, with Image and The Chemist heading the dangers..

Sixteen runs since last win in 2016. Respectable eighth of 13 in handicap (33/1) at this C&D 10 days ago, not knocked about.

Verdict

Cape Icon needs a market check making his first appearance for Olly Murphy, while Glory Awaits seldom runs a bad race here and looks nicely drawn in stall one for the potent David Simcock/Jamie Spencer combination. Black Bess should appreciate this drop in grade, but preference is for FASTAR, who has some solid form to his name. The four-year-old ran solidly in a stronger race at Newcastle last time and a similar level of performance might be enough here.

Verdict

FASTAR has performed with credit in a couple of stronger handicaps than this since returning to action so is selected to make the most of a drop in class. Glory Awaits can remain competitive, while it will be interesting to see what Olly Murphy can do with Cape Icon.
