Winner at Wolverhampton in December. 7/2, respectable fifth of 10 in handicap at Wolverhampton (6.1f) 14 days ago. Blinkers back on and he's not without hope.

Verdict

SPARE PARTS is unbeaten in four starts so far this year and, despite having to shoulder a 12lb penalty, he might be able to strike again whilst the iron is hot. Run With Pride was a little disappointing at Southwell last time but is fancied to bounce back on his Polytrack return, while Billyoakes and Hisar are others to keep an eye on.

Verdict

SPARE PARTS proved that he can handle races in quick succession when completing the hat-trick over C&D last week, 24 hours after his Kempton victory. He's likely to take plenty of stopping under a double penalty after another win at Lingfield on Wednesday. Desert Fox failed to fire last time but will be a player if bouncing back, while Hisar, Billyoakes and Run With Pride are each-way players.

Verdict

Georgian Bay is the top-rated performer in this line-up and will appreciate dropping back into Plating company, but TATLISU edges the vote. The Red Clubs gelding is a very capable performer at this level, as consistently shown in recent starts, and after Sebastian Woods' valuable claim, he receives a nice lump of weight off his main rival. Four-time C&D winner Loyalty looks best of the remaining pair.

Verdict

GEORGIAN BAY failed to land a blow when tried on fibresand for the first time last week, but he was runner-up in a similar event over this C&D previously and is very much the one to beat on these terms. Four-time C&D winner Loyalty rates the main danger ahead of Tatlisu.

Lightly-raced maiden. Last of 10 in minor event at Lingfield (8f, AW, 100/1) 29 days ago. Back up in trip. Makes handicap debut.

Verdict

Up in trip for this all-weather/handicap debut after 136 days off, SURREY BLAZE scored over the extended mile at Wolverhampton a fortnight ago and a 6lb rise may not be enough to halt him here with scope for plenty more improvement. Headwear was two and a quarter lengths back in fifth that day and reopposes on 6lb better terms so should reduce the deficit. Forricherforpoorer could leave behind the form of his three qualifying runs now switching to the handicap ranks.

Verdict

SURREY BLAZE improved when making a winning handicap debut at Wolverhampton and, with this stiffer test expected to suit, he is taken to defy a 6 lb rise in the weights and follow up here. Garsington cut little ice in a trio of minor events last year but may leave that form well behind now upped in trip and pitched into a handicap. Headwear is best of the rest.

Verdict

The manner in which WIMPOLE HALL travelled before scoring in style over this C&D last Thursday suggests a 6lb penalty may not be enough to halt this son of Canford Cliffs in his double bid. Wapping recorded a turf double when last seen in the summer but has it to prove on this surface after a layoff and the biggest danger may be Hairdryer, a C&D winner who returned from a break with a good second at Kempton in late November.

Verdict

WIMPOLE HALL is compiling a very good AW record, particularly at this venue, and with Nicola Currie offsetting most of his penalty, the follow up is very much on the cards. Hairdryer, Shamrokh and Wapping can fight it out for minor honours.

Verdict

REIFFA is a half-sister to six past scorers and joined the winners' club on debut at Wolverhampton on Boxing Day for William Haggas, defying a late market drift when catching a long-time leader and shaping as though a step up in distance would spark improvement. Cloud Eight was behind the selection last time but still has scope for improvement, while Volatile is entitled to come on for his reappearance six days ago and makes his second start since being gelded.

Verdict

REIFFA did well to make a winning start at Wolverhampton on Boxing Day, overcoming greenness and the run of the race, and she looks up to defying a penalty with this extra 1f likely to suit. Volatile would be the main threat if back to his best on second start for this yard.

Verdict

COOL BREEZE had the race run to suit when victorious at Kempton four weeks ago, but she did it in fine style and could have more to offer over this distance. She has gone up 7lb for those exertions, but should at least be capable of confirming form with Lady Cristal, who was just short of five lengths away from the selection last time. Pulsating arrives here in great form and probably rates as the chief danger.

Verdict

PULSATING didn't enjoy the rub of the green last time and can show she's still on a good mark and land a fourth win in just 7 runs for this stable. Cool Breeze had a couple of these rivals in behind when scoring at Kempton last time and could be the one to give Archie Watson's filly most to do.

Cheekpieces on for 1st time, good sixth of 14 in handicap at Kempton (16f, 33/1) 29 days ago. Visor on 1st time. Should remain competitive in 0-60 company.

Verdict

MARSHALL AID bounced back to form to win at the 24th time of asking here last week and has been found another nice opening off just 6lb higher to complete back-to-back victories. The five-year-old is 2lb well-in and can account for With Hindsight, who was a five-length second behind the selection last time. Pour L'amour looks suited by this step up in distance and could grab some minor money.

Verdict

POUR L'AMOUR has slipped to a good mark, and her latest third at Wolverhampton left the impression that she should be striking soon. Marshall Aid’s claims are crystal clear after her emphatic victory at this course last week, while Enola can post another creditable effort in 0-60 company.
