Foaled May 7. €24,000 yearling, Jukebox Jury filly. Half-sister to winner abroad by Nathaniel. Makes plenty of appeal on paper.

Verdict

WATER DIVINER's price increased from 15,000 to 30,000 euros between being a foal and a yearling and the son of Bungle Inthejungle is fancied to make a winning debut for Richard Hannon. He is entered in a valuable Doncaster sales race later in the year and represents a yard whose two-year-old runners usually know their job first time out. Similar sentiments apply to Mark Johnston's Kilbarchan, while So Hi Class might prove best of those with prior experience in the long term.

Verdict

AL MORTAJAZ represents a yard that does very well with juvenile newcomers and he may prove to be the best of these. Water Diviner also represents a yard that performs well in these events and his sire has started very well. Kilbarchan is another newcomer that makes plenty of appeal on paper.

1 win from 2 runs this year. Career best when winning 7-runner handicap at Goodwood (12f, good, 9/1) 27 days ago, overcoming pace bias. Can progress again on just her third start for the yard.

Verdict

Across Dubai looked promising last season and might have come on for his reappearance York run five days ago, where he was a beaten favourite, while Canberra Cliffs has shown a nice constitution in her career so far and will make a bold bid back on Polytrack. Secret Art has won his last two here, but MELTING DEW ran a huge race on his reappearance at Epsom for Sir Michael Stoute and looks well suited by this drop back from 1m4f.

Verdict

CANBERRA CLIFFS did well to win at Goodwood last time given she was held up in a slowly-run race. Her yard may yet get more improvement from her after just two starts for them. Melting Dew should come on for his Epsom outing and a return to this C&D is a plus. Dommersen looked a very promising horse in 2016, and if the blinkers can bring about improvement, he'll go close.

5 wins from 15 runs this year. Latest win at Wolverhampton in March. Creditable 2 lengths third of 9 to Bosham in handicap at this C&D (6/1) 20 days ago. Others make more appeal from out of handicap.

Verdict

Vibrant Chords is the class act here, though he arrives after a 246-day absence and had a wind operation in March, while Tropics is unbeaten in three visits to this track and warrants respect, despite his advancing years. Doctor Sardonicus, Bosham and Just That Lord will ensure that a generous pace is set, and that could set things up for POYLE VINNIE. Often eye-catching in defeat , he can land a first win since January last year.

Verdict

JUST THAT LORD wasn't beaten far in one of the top sprint handicaps last time out and looked very impressive when winning on polytrack in April. He'll have a good chance if repeating those efforts. Tropics won for the 12th time in his career last week and is a danger under a penalty. Poyle Vinnie is always a strong candidate to make the frame in these events.

Useful mare. 2 wins from 6 runs this year. 15/8, career best when winning 5-runner handicap at this C&D 27 days ago, keeping on well. This represents a much stiffer test.

Verdict

LUCYMAI looked as good as ever when winning a handicap over C&D on her latest start and she more than merits her place back at this level on that performance. Irish raider Belle Boyd ran well on her return to action at Leopardstown and can prove competitive here, while others to consider include Nottingham third Carolinae and the Richard Fahey-trained Marie Of Lyon.

Verdict

BELLE BOYD is still fairly lightly raced and she performed with credit against male opposition last time at Leopardstown. That run is likely to have bought her on and she looks the one to beat here. Inshiraah's run in France is reasonable form and she is entitled to progress further and may be the biggest danger. Peak Princess was unlucky at Newmarket last time and may run well at a big price.

Verdict

MOUNTAIN BELL is the class angle in the field, having placed at Group 3 level back in 2016, and her efforts this season have been solid enough to suggest that she is more than capable of carrying top-weight in a field of this nature. White Chocolate returned to winning form at Doncaster last time and the step back up from 1m2f should pose no issue, while Giveaway Glance could have more to offer on the Flat.

Verdict

MOUNTAIN BELL has been contesting much stronger races than this for over two years and she makes significant appeal down in a handicap for the first time. She has plenty of weight to concede to her rivals but everything else is in her favour. Graceland ran with credit at York last time and poses the biggest danger. Giveaway Glance looked very good last time and may be involved in the finish.
