Thrice-raced maiden. Hooded first time, fifth of 7 in C&D novice 26 days ago. Makes handicap debut.

Verdict

Rollicking has been in cracking form on the turf and warrants plenty of respect on her all-weather debut, but it might pay to side with the proven course form of STORM SHELTER. He built on last month's second when scoring readily 19 days ago, both over C&D, and although a 14lb rise will obviously make life a lot tougher, there should be plenty more to come from him. The hat-trick seeking Hard Taskmaster and handicap debutant Shellbrook are others to note.

Verdict

HARD TASKMASTER has been much improved since the visor has gone on and might be up to defying the handicapper again. Rollicking has been consistent in nurseries and should go well again if taking to AW, while So Hi Class was improved with the blinkers on last time and can figure again.

Verdict

HANDMAIDEN sets a fair standard having struck the crossbar twice at Newmarket, the first time against subsequent Group 1 winner Quorto, and she can make it third time lucky for John Gosden and Frankie Dettori. Mawahib looked fairly green when third on her debut over 6f at Brighton and she can only improve for that experience, while Starry Eyes and Unwanted Beauty are other useful prospects.

Verdict

HANDMAIDEN hasn't been seen for a couple of months but the form she showed when runner-up twice at Newmarket in the summer should be more than good enough to win a race like this. Mawahib and Starry Eyes are both likely to build on promising debuts in recent weeks and can give John Gosden's filly most to do.

Career best when winning 9-runner handicap at this C&D (50/1) 10 days ago by 2 lengths from American Endeavour, having run of race. Another personal best needed having gone up 6 lb for that.

Verdict

There didn't appear to be any fluke about HIC BIBI's recent 50/1 success over C&D and, competing off bottom weight despite her rise in the handicap, she gets the vote to follow up. American Endeavour was two lengths back in second on that occasion and should give another good account, although Rux Ruxx might pose a bigger threat. She wasn't beaten too far in a stronger event at Lingfield latest and now has the added help of first-time cheekpieces.

Verdict

AMERICAN ENDEAVOUR was left with too much to do when chasing home Hic Bibi over C&D 10 days ago and, 5 lb better off with that rival now, she should emerge on top this time. Hic Bibi's profile suggests that she's far from certain to reproduce that level of performance and bigger threats may be posed by Sonnet Rose and Rux Ruxx.

Verdict

DESERT FROST stepped up on a number of nearly efforts when scoring comfortably over 6f at Epsom and, with a decent all-weather run already under his belt, he might be able to follow up off this 3lb higher mark. Commander Han just failed to last home over a mile here latest so has an obvious chance now dropping back in trip, while recent Lingfield scorer Areen Heart adds further spice to the race.

Verdict

This is tougher than the Epsom handicap DESERT FROST won last month, but he's only gone up 3 lb and still has low mileage. He handled tapeta with aplomb when second at Newcastle during the spring and should prove a tough nut to crack back up in trip here if proving equally effective on polytrack. Insurgence is 2-3 on the AW and is next on the list ahead of Commander Han and Repton.

Dubawi filly. Sister to very smart winner up to 1m Lucky Nine and useful 7f winner Dayking. Dam 6f-7f winner. Stablemate of Dream Desert and the market should help to separate them.

Verdict

Taoiseach's racecourse experience is respected here, and could give him an edge. However, it could be that William Haggas is to the fore here with his newcomers Dream Desert and MUNEYRA set to play leading roles. The latter makes most appeal and the Dubawi filly is a sister to Hong Kong Group One winner Lucky Nine. Owen Burrows' 700,000-dollar War Front colt Habub is also worthy of a market check.

Verdict

The William Haggas-trained DREAM DESERT gets the vote but fellow newcomers Habub, Muneyra, who is a stablemate of the selection, and Tamerlane all make appeal on paper and the betting is sure to provide more clues as to expectations.

Verdict

INDIAN PURSUIT thrived on his return to the all-weather when a victory over this track and trip last week made it two wins from two starts in September. John Quinn's sprinter carries a 6lb penalty for that half-length success and rates as the one to beat in search of a hat-trick. Blessed To Empress has been given a chance by the assessor and has scored off this rating here in the past. It's All A Joke and Capla Demon are also noted.

Verdict

The one who appeals most is IT'S ALL A JOKE, who made a positive start for this yard when runner-up at Kempton. Off the same mark here, he remains on a handy rating based on his peak form in Ireland. Blessed To Empress wasn't disgraced when fourth off 2 lb higher over C&D last time and should be in the mix, while the hat-trick seeking Indian Pursuit and Capla Demon are others with claims.

Verdict

GEMINI ran out an easy winner of an apprentice handicap at Bath last week and having escaped a penalty due to the nature of that contest, has a fantastic chance of following up that four-and-a-half-length victory up in trip with Jason Watson's 3lb allowance also able to come into play this time. Seinesational scored over track and trip last week and has to be considered, while Lyford is another recent winner here who needs to be on the shortlist.

Verdict

GEMINI had plenty in hand at Bath last week and should be tough to beat turned out unpenalised. Lyford gained reward for some good efforts of late when scoring here last time and should go well again, while Seinesational can figure if coping with a third outing in quick succession.
