Opened her account off 3 lb higher in 6f Doncaster nursery last year. Has failed to reproduce that form for new yard so far this season but it's too soon to write her off.

Verdict

BALTIC PRINCE boasts course winning form and arrives here in excellent nick having gone down by a narrow margin on his latest start at Carlisle. The return to a mile should prove no issue and he can return to winning ways. Coviglia comes into this in search of a hat-trick of wins having gone up 10lb for successes at Wolverhampton and Ayr so warrants respect along with My Amigo, whose front-running tactics could get a few of these in trouble.

Verdict

It's been a while since MY AMIGO last got his head in front but has plenty going for him otherwise. He is marginally preferred to Dark Confidant, who left the impression that he's working his way back to form at Sandown recently. Aprovado and Gabrial's Kaka have both slipped to handy marks but the latter has been done no favours by the draw.

Hard to warm to judged on what she's shown in minor events at Redcar and Newcastle.

Verdict

JENSUE was unable to land a blow in the Albany at Royal Ascot when only beating three rivals home behind Main Edition but the daughter of Red Jazz will undoubtedly find this a much easier assignment and she has the advantage of a low draw. Baby Steps got off the mark at Carlisle on his second start but has to give the selection 5lb which could be a difficult ask, while Pass The Gin looks best of the remainder.

Verdict

BABY STEPS displayed a willing attitude when scoring at Carlisle and, with this step up in trip unlikely to be an issue and further improvement anticipated, he is taken to strike again. Immokalee failed to build on her debut promise at Thirsk last week but she's well worth another chance and is feared most ahead of Pass The Gin and Jensue.

Haydock maiden winner in 2017 and returned to form when placed in a trio of handicaps last month, including at this course. 5 lb 'wrong' at the weights this time, though.

Verdict

RAINBOW REBEL posted a career-best effort when landing the Old Newton Cup at Haydock last weekend and he should be more than capable of defying a quick turnaround which he did two starts ago when winning at Pontefract. Aasheq has won his last three starts, including here back in May, and he looks to have scope for further improvement at this trip, while the consistent Jabbaar completes the shortlist.

Verdict

AASHEQ has gone from strength-to-strength this season, completing the hat-trick in good style at Carlisle recently. With just 11 runs under his belt, there may be even more to come from this 5-y-o and he will take plenty of stopping. Rainbow Rebel is in the form of his life at present but Jabbaar, who also arrives here in fine fettle, is the main danger.

Improved when opening her account in 7f Redcar seller 3 weeks ago but another sizeable step forward required if she's to follow up here.

Verdict

Jaayiz got off the mark for Richard Hannon at Brighton last time and this two-year-old should have more to give despite a wider-than-ideal draw, while Yellow Fire represents in-form connections but is another who hasn't been done any favours by the draw. It could be worth chancing FIVE HELMETS, who boasts course experience and shaped as though the step up to 7f would suit him perfectly at Haydock last time.

Verdict

There should be better to come from FIVE HELMETS now that he steps up to 7f. Indeed, Tom Dascombe's charge shaped as though crying out for a stiffer test when fourth over 6f at Haydock last week and he gets the nod ahead of Brighton winner Jaayiz, who also promises to be suited by going up in trip. Yellow Fire and Revich can do battle for minor honours.

Notched third C&D victory off 3 lb higher mark in September but he's failed to fire in handful of runs so far this season.

Verdict

Rene Mathis did it well here in claiming company last month but could find life tougher now back in handicaps, while Our Charlie Brown travelled nicely at Musselburgh when fourth last time after being denied a clear run and looks poised to run a big race. TADAAWOL, however, did it well in the Carlisle Bell consolation race last time and could be hard to peg back if starting well now back at 7f.

Verdict

The vote goes to TWIN APPEAL, who wasn't disgraced in a Class 3 event at Leicester recently, he's on a good mark and has the plum draw. Our Charlie Brown is also well-drawn and will be a danger to all if getting the breaks, while Rene Mathis, who resumed winning ways in a C&D claimer a fortnight ago, should also have a part to play in the finish and Logi enters calculations, too.

Duly improved when making a winning handicap bow at Doncaster (14.5f). Lost little caste in defeat when chasing home Rude Awakening over the same C&D since and she remains open to improvement.

Verdict

CAPE LIBERTY has gone well on her two attempts at an extended 1m6f lately, winning once at Doncaster and finishing second there latest, and the Cape Cross filly could have more to come now trying an extra two furlongs from what appears still a workable mark. Course and distance winner St Mary's has to be respected, while Piedita scored twice at the distance last season and remains an unexposed quantity.

Verdict

The 3-y-o CAPE LIBERTY receives a handy weight-for-age allowance and should prove hard to beat. The Cape Cross filly has improved switched to handicaps the last twice, this step up in trip should be in her favour and she remains unexposed. Notice held her form well in good quality handicaps last season and she is next on the list ahead of Piedita and St Mary's.
