Long time since she's got seriously competitive and expected to struggle once more from long way out the weights.

Verdict

OSGOOD won at Huntingdon back in May and the drop into selling company can see him return to winning ways this afternoon. Cliffside Park won a similar event to this at Stratford earlier in the year but he does need to bounce back from a poor run at Worcester last time out. Others to consider are Changing The Guard, Hongkong Adventure and Honkytonktennessee.

Verdict

HONKYTONKTENNESSEE is clearly not straightforward but this represents a marked drop in class back over timber, and he gets the narrow vote provided his pilot can keep his temperament in check. Cliffside Park and Back To Balloo are next best, in that order.

Resumed winning ways at Huntingdon in spring 2016 but lightly raced since. Enough to suggest he retains ability on recent return from year off but needs to build on it.

Verdict

DANCEINTOTHELIGHT has bounced back to form on his last couple of starts and he will be hard to beat if he repeats either of those efforts this afternoon. One For Billy put in a very disappointing display last time out but he is still unexposed and may have more to offer. Fixed Rate has dropped to his last winning mark and he is tried in a pair of cheekpieces for the first time today.

Verdict

DANCEINTOTHELIGHT was only narrowly denied off this mark at Kelso 12 days ago and could take a bit of pegging back around this sharp course if turning up in similar form. One For Billy can't have been right on his handicap debut when last seen in May and remains with potential, while Fixed Rate could also figure with a recent comeback run behind him.

Bumper/fairly useful hurdles winner who appeals as the type to make an even better chaser and shaped encouragingly switched to fences after 5 months off at Worcester (23f). Sure to progress.

Verdict

The Society Man will need his rivals to fail to complete to be winning this contest given his official rating of just 52. BAGAD BIHOUE has to give weight to all of his rivals today but he racked up a four-timer over fences earlier in the year. He did not appear to like Cartmel two starts ago and he faced a tough task against a talented stablemate last time out. Sam Red edges out Thumb Stone Blues to be the pick of the remainder.

Verdict

THUMB STONE BLUES shaped well on his chase debut at Worcester 3 weeks ago, fading only close home, and he can open his account in this sphere here if building on that. Sam Red may emerge as the biggest danger ahead of the heavily-penalised Bagad Bihoue.

Placed in 2 Irish maiden points and runner-up in Market Rasen bumper 3 weeks ago. Interesting on hurdles debut.

Verdict

Holryale has been kept busy throughout the summer and has knocked on the door the last twice. Dan Skelton's five-year-old should be fully fit for this and is considered. Olly Murphy runs two newcomers to his Warren Chase base, with Ataman and Red House Hill, who is interesting having arrived from Charles Byrnes. However, preference is for THECLOCKISTICKING who was second to a handy bumper horse of Harry Whittington's on debut and could be under the radar here for a handler whose horses are running well at present.

Verdict

HOLRYALE made an encouraging debut over hurdles at Newton Abbot last month and this bumper winner can make it second time lucky in this sphere with improvement forthcoming. Theclockisticking is interesting first time up over jumps, while the market may help split Olly Murphy's pair Ataman and Red House Hill.

Gained reward for some good efforts last term when scoring at Sedgefield in March. Run of form came to a halt following month but ran with credit on belated return to Flat the Flat 11 days ago.

Verdict

Dual-hurdle winner CATAMARAN DU SEUIL was pitched into the deep end on his first UK chase start in a Market Rasen Listed contest and this looks much easier, with the extra distance set to be in the five-year-old's favour. Actinpieces has to be considered with his handler Pam Sly in fine form, while Sam England makes the trip south from her Yorkshire base with Raktiman who is 3lb higher than when last winning.

Verdict

CATAMARAN DU SEUIL shaped much better than the distance beaten suggests on his first start over fences for current yard on his return at Market Rasen 3 weeks ago and looks on a fair mark if building on that and seeing out this longer trip. Raktiman often gives his running and is fit from a recent spin on the Flat, so is feared most.

Irish point winner who looked a useful prospect when making a successful start under Rules in Newton Abbot mares' novice hurdle in May. Good chance to follow up.

Verdict

Momella was a likeable winner on her hurdles debut at Newton Abbott back in May and a repeat of that should see Dan Skelton's mare go close once again here. However, a chance is taken that she may need this seasonal pipe opener, and therefore preference is for BRAHMS DE CLERMONT who travelled like a classy horse in a Chepstow legends race last weekend, which should have put him spot on for this encounter. Mullaghboy completes the line up and is waiting in the wings in case the front two fail to fire.

Verdict
