Has failed to complete on 4 of her last 5 outings.

Verdict

Mr Caffrey could be sparked into life by the first time blinkers and an improved showing is possible while The Kid let down favourite backers last time and needs to bounce back now. However, it may be best to side with BALDADASH, who narrowly held on at Kempton last time and his claiming jockey takes away the 6lb rise from the assessor for the Jose Santos-trained veteran.

Verdict

MR CAFFREY hasn't been on his game for a while, but he's undoubtedly well treated as a result and could feasibly bounce back with blinkers fitted, so it's worth taking a chance on him in a weak race. Le Braye should be back on track after a blunder scuppered him last time, and The Kid still appeals as well treated based on Flat form, so both are considered.

Visored and best run since opening bumper effort when runner-up at Fontwell in November (25.7f). Has failed to build on that subsequently, though, and headgear discarded now.

Verdict

Steel Native could go one better than his second over course and distance here last time, while Coole Charmer enters the equation having been relieved of another 5lb from the handicapper. However, Sam Twiston-Davies is an eye-catching jockey booking on the veteran ROCKY ELSOM, who is 19lb lower than his last winning mark and now has the assistance of cheekpieces as well.

Verdict

While BHAKTI has a fair bit to prove following an inauspicious reappearance effort at Huntingdon in December, it looks significant that his new yard has enlisted the services of Richard Johnson here. The handicapper has given the 10-y-o a chance and the hint should be taken if there's confidence behind him in the betting. Steel Native is next best ahead of Rainbow Haze.

Verdict

JENKINS was thought of as a future Seven Barrows star before the wheels fell off at Kempton and it is very much a recovery mission now, with this looking the ideal starting point for a confidence-boosting performance to show his well-being. Peruvien Bleu has been kept busy and the mount of Chester Williams looks the type who is worthy of following the selection home, while A Bold Move has his first start for Christian Williams having left Alan King.

Verdict

Impossible to oppose JENKINS here, even if he was a disappointment when last seen at Kempton on Boxing Day. He's had plenty of time to brush up his hurdling and this galloping track should suit him well. A Bold Move might be the one for the forecast spot with the drop to 2m potentially in his favour, while the largely consistent Peruvien Bleu should pick up some more place money.

Twice a winner over hurdles at this track in 2013/14. Didn't show much in 2 outings over fences last spring but more like it when 3 lengths second at this venue last month. Needs to build on that now.

Verdict

This looks a tough starting point to Maguire's Glen's life in Britain having left Ireland and now in the care of Grace Harris while Seven Nation Army is 3lb lower than when third behind Bivouac at Leicester and is respected. Barton Rose is respected with Richard Johnson on board, though the vote goes to the Dai Walters' owned STAGE ONE to land a victory at his home track having been given a 4lb reprieve by the handicapper on his second chase start.

Verdict

STAGE ONE probably found the emphasis on speed against him behind a next-time-out winner at Market Rasen last month and from a reduced mark/back up in trip he gets the nod equipped with first-time cheekpieces. Dual course winner Looks Like Power and Maguire's Glen are probably the safest recommendations of the remainder.

Won his bumper here but hasn't quite fulfilled his potential yet over hurdles, his attitude under pressure leaving plenty to be desired last time. Needs to bounce back and apply himself more.

Verdict

Lough Derg Farmer was a ready winner of a Doncaster Maiden Hurdle before going down to a handy animal of Donald McCain's at Bangor on his latest appearance. However, it may be best to side with PADDYS MOTORBIKE who has campaigned solely in Wales since switching to the National Hunt sphere and put up a career best last time over 2m4f and could be seen to even better effect here with a further two furlongs sure to suit. Like The Sound scored well at Stratford last time and is another who can be considered.

Verdict

There shouldn't be much between LOUGH DERG FARMER, Like The Sound and Paddys Motorbike, with slight preference for the former. His maiden hurdle win at Doncaster in January is narrowly the best piece of form on offer and, by Presenting, he might be better back away from soft ground. The other pair should be right there pushing the selection hard and can fight it out should he underperform.

Looked in trouble but responded well and took advantage of some wayward rivals when landing 7-runner handicap at Fontwell last month. Up 3 lb in a better race, but he's in good nick.

Verdict

PHOBIAPHILIAC can be a bit unpredictable based on his most recent starts but he faced a tough task under top weight in the EBF Final last time out. Prior to that he was second to a useful rival, who was Grade 1-placed at Aintree recently, and a mark of 132 may still underestimate him. Sir Mangan has been off the track for quite a while now but he represents a yard who can get one ready after a break and the handicapper has given him a chance today. Count Meribel should put in his usual solid performance and Forza Milan is a progressive youngster who may have more to offer today.

Verdict

FORZA MILAN cemented a positive start to his career when landing a big-field maiden hurdle at Chepstow in February and is the type to go on progressing in handicaps. He is narrowly preferred to Sir Mangan, who is well treated back from a long absence and represents a yard with a superb record with similar types.

Dual hurdles winner who has taken well to fences, finishing runner-up in a handicap chase at Hereford and novice event at Catterick (both at around 25f). Remains capable of better in this sphere.

Verdict

Cogry's jumping will always be a worry but he has completed his last two starts over fences and has been dropped 2lb in the ratings for finishing sixth in the Midlands National last month. KNOCKANRAWLEY has not had much racing in the last couple of years but he has made the frame in the Classic Chase at Warwick and the Eider at Newcastle in his two starts this season. Aubusson has tumbled down the ratings this season and it would be no surprise if he went well at big odds, while Potters Cross could bounce back to form following two moderate efforts.

Verdict

This stamina test promises to suit THE BAY OAK, who has finished runner-up in both starts since switched to fences and he could be the answer. Knockanrawley boats solid form claims and Aubusson is not short of ability, but that duo may find conditions too lively and Court Frontier could emerge as the main danger if able to bounce back following his below-par effort in the Midlands National.
