Doing nothing wrong at present, in the frame on all 6 starts back this term and should give another good account. Tongue strap back on.

Verdict

UNDER THE WOODS has improved with each start over hurdles since finishing tailed off on debut behind First Flow at Lingfield and an opening mark of 100 may underestimate his ability. Bonne Question disappointed on handicap debut at Catterick but could easily bounce back under James Bowen, while Flanagans Field has a reapplied tongue tie to bring about further improvement.

Verdict

UNDER THE WOODS has shown clear promise in his qualifying runs and appeals as the sort to take off now switching to handicaps. Flanagans Field is doing nothing wrong at present, while Great Tempo is falling in the weights and may benefit from a return to this trip.

Fair maiden on the Flat for Paul Cole Flat, but beaten a long way on all 3 outings over hurdles.

Verdict

CAROLE'S VIGILANTE didn't need to improve from his debut over hurdles over C&D when winning at Hereford in January and, with conditions to suit, he looks capable of defying the penalty here. Garran City ran well when third on his Rules debut at Chepstow last month and should take a step forward from that, while Mon Eldorado and Baby Ted can prove capable of making their presence felt.

Verdict

GARRAN CITY made an encouraging start over hurdles when third at Chepstow 3 weeks ago and is taken to make the most of the weight he receives from previou-winner Carole's Vigilante. Mon Eldorado may prove best of the remainder.

Seems to have his own ideas sometimes but he did win here over three miles in November off three pounds lower. Might not have the speed for some of these but will be running on late and could place.

Verdict

CAWDOR HOUSE BERT has much better form on soft ground and proved that when bouncing back to winning form here over 2m3f on heavy ground last month. He went up 3lb for that success and can go in again at the expense of Nansaroy, who was fourth behind the selection here last time and has a first-time visor, and Alf 'n' Dor, who has finished third in four of his last six outings but was due to run at Uttoxeter on Saturday.

Verdict

CAWDOR HOUSE BERT is no youngster at the age of eleven but won on his seasonal return, albeit it narrowly, and can only improve for the race ahead of this contest. One Style should be cherry ripe now and can put in a bold challenge, as can Magical Man at these weights.

Left previous Rules form well behind when proving 3 lengths too strong for Tudors Treasure over C&D last month. However, beaten a fair way at Warwick since and cheekpieces refitted now.

Verdict

FLY DU CHARMIL benefited from going back left handed when winning here in good style over 2m a month ago and the step up in trip here looks ideal for Warren Greatrex's gelding. Dark Invader wasn't beaten far at Leicester on handicap debut and is another who could take a step forward up in distance, while Tudors Treasure has first-time cheekpieces to eke out further improvement.

Verdict

LADY KARINA has been given a break following her tumble at Cheltenham in December and she gets the nod. The 7-y-o looked progressive when striking on her reappearance at Warwick and she remains unexposed. Tudors Treasure got back on track when chasing home Hillary View over C&D last time and looks a threat, while Fly du Charmil remains on a decent mark and Dark Invader is also worth considering.

Two wins from 38 starts over hurdles but 18 runs since a victory stretching back to April 2016 in a seller here. Seems to have his own ideas and although well handicapped others appeal a lot more.

Two wins from 38 starts over hurdles but 18 runs since a victory stretching back to April 2016 in a seller here. Seems to have his own ideas and although well handicapped others appeal a lot more.

Verdict

FRASER CANYON followed up his 3m victory at Musselburgh with a solid placed effort over the same C&D last time. He is expected to go close off an unchanged mark while Steel Native has winning course form in the book and is only 2lb higher than when scoring here over 2m4f here in December. He is considered for minor money with Filatore, another track scorer, likely to take a hand.

Verdict

STEEL NATIVE may be the one to on in a field with plenty of questions against the main protagonists. He has every chance on his best efforts. In-form Fraser Canyon will be a danger even if he may be better over further. Filatore could be the surprise for third with Sean Houlihan's claim tipping the balance in his favour.

Verdict

Bassarabad dotted up by 15 lengths over 3m at Wetherby last time and commands respect, though a 10lb rise makes life tougher here. Preference is thus for SOURIYAN, who won off this mark over hurdles at Stratford in October and should be thereabouts if putting his best foot forward on his return from a spell chasing. Last-time-out Hereford winner Misty Mai bolted up off 9lb lower latest and is another worthy of consideration.

Verdict

LAC SACRE has been in good form of late, just failing over this C&D 4 weeks ago, and looks sure to make another bold bid. Souriyan and Ceann Sibheal are others to consider.

Verdict

AL DANCER got loose in the paddock before returning a beaten favourite over track and trip last time and if he behaves himself in the preliminaries here, he has every chance of striking at the third attempt. Gwalia has struck the crossbar in both starts thus far and is considered the main danger to the selection, ahead of Landofsmiles, who has steadily improved between runs in the point-to-point scene and now debuts under Rules.

Verdict

AL DANCER was a disappointing favourite here in November given the promise of his debut, but he's since switched to Nigel Twiston-Davies and remains with potential. Gwalia has made a solid start to his career and will give it another good shot, while Landofsmiles displayed ability in points.
