Three-time Flat winner who has yet to fully convince over hurdles and recent exploits on the level suggest he's merely ticking over at present. 2 lb "wrong" at the weights.

Verdict

SKY OF STARS looks to land a hat-trick under a 7lb penalty for the upwardly mobile Olly Murphy. The four-year-old is 2lb well in at these weights, Fergus Gregory's claim cancels out his burden of top weight and he is sure to play a key part. Past C&D scorer Osgood won gamely under conditional Jason Nuttall at Huntingdon last time and is backed to provide a stern challenge to the selection, while Rif Raftou looks to be slowly coming to the boil and is another to consider.

Verdict

SKY OF STARS is one of a number to make a cracking start for Olly Murphy, landing back-to-back handicaps at around 18f in recent weeks. He can continue the good work under a penalty and land the hat-trick, though Raleagh Mountain, now with Dan Skelton, needs close market attention. Recent Flat winner Hermosa Vaquera can also make the frame.

Won here for Diana Grissell in May 2015 but found things tougher subsequently and also failed to win in points this year. First run for new stable.

Verdict

Saffron Prince took advantage of a drop in the weights to score at Newton Abbot and David Bridgewater will be hoping that gives him the confidence to progress now back to a mark of 97. However, he may come unstuck with Between The Waters looking a winner in waiting the more he slides down the ratings, and recent Worcester third FIRMOUNT GENT entitled to improve on just his second start for Dan Skelton. The latter shades the verdict.

Verdict

FIRMOUNT GENT couldn't justify market confidence on his debut for Dan Skelton but was closing when blundering 3 out and is probably worth another chance to show what he can do for his new stable. Saffron Prince will be a threat if he can back up his latest Newton Abbot win, while In On The Act's hurdling ability provides hope that he'll do better over fences at some point.

Went the wrong way after finishing second in a Worcester bumper on debut last year, becoming increasingly temperamental. Has been backed more than once though and she is in good hands.

Verdict

The vibes look positive for the consistent MOUNT VESUVIUS who looks to build on his third at Newton Abbot with Nick Schofield back in the saddle (onboard for his latest win in April). Miss Mayfair has knocked on the door the last twice and has to be considered having been dropped 3lb by the assessor, but she may have to settle for second place once again, while Harry Reed's claim could be crucial aboard Lee Side Lady as he attempts to give weight all round.

Verdict

This is trappy, with DRIVE ON LOCKY the tentative pick in the hope he strips fitter for last month's mildly-promising return from a break. Miss Mayfair is the pick at the weights but has been off the track since December 2015, so comes with clear risks attached, while Lee Side Lady may get back on track returned to timber.

Went close over hurdles at Uttoxeter in May but below par next 2 starts and mark looks high enough on return to chasing.

Verdict

KINARI is backed to handle the 6lb rise for his Uttoxeter victory and follow up on just his second start of the year. Gingili is an interesting player back to the chasing ranks having had his confidence boosted over hurdles while Clubs Are Trumps has the assistance of 10lb claimer Jordan Canavan which, with that allowance taken into account, takes him back to a rating 1lb lower than his last win.

Verdict

JACK SNIPE is improving with each run over fences and is taken to defy a big hike in the weights after his comfortable success at Newton Abbot last month. Danandy shaped as if retaining his ability after a lengthy absence at Stratford 32 days ago and is next best ahead of Kinari.

Verdict

PSYCHEDELIC ROCK improved plenty on his Irish form when winning on his first outing for Ian Williams at Worcester and this well-bred son of Yeats can improve from that effort despite giving weight all round. Mamoo shaped with plenty of promise when runner-up on his hurdles debut at Plumpton and can take a step forward here, while Iballisticvin has been in good form on the level and will be a player if able to translate that form to hurdling.

Verdict

PSYCHEDELIC ROCK improved out of all recognition when making a winning start for Ian Williams at Worcester last month, but given his pedigree, it probably shouldn't have been a complete surprise and he is capable of defying a penalty in this line-up. Iballisticvin and Balancing Time are a couple of interesting Flat recruits, though.

Fair maiden hurdler for Warren Greatrex in 2014/15. Won twice in the pointing field since but not seen in that sphere since May 2016 and bumps into a couple of useful rivals on chase bow.

Verdict

Black Corton returned to the winner's enclosure when comprehensively seeing off Knight Of Noir when stepped up to 2m7f at Worcester last time, but he had previously finished runner-up behind FOREVER FIELD who can confirm that form despite his rival having 5lb taken off by Bryony Frost. Nicky Henderson's gelding also has the potential for more improvement on just his fourth outing over fences. Velvet Cognac has a fair amount to find but can jump round for third place prize money.

Verdict

BLACK CORTON has taken really well to chasing and is narrowly preferred to Nicky Henderson's Forever Field in what is highly likely to develop into a match between the pair.

Verdict

SOLSTALLA continues to go well in this company and was heavily supported in the betting when second at Worcester last time out. She remains on a workable mark under Nico De Boinville and could have more scope for improvement than the rest of this field. Chic Theatre shaped like a step up in trip was needed last time and could do better now trying an extra three furlongs, while Worcester scorer Get Home Now should go well with James Bowen's 10lb claim invaluable.

Verdict

CHIC THEATRE travelled notably well in first-time blinkers at Worcester recently, despite his finishing effort flattering to deceive. He is now below his last winning mark and can capitalise on the handicapper’s leniency. Solstalla remains in good form, and she looks next best ahead of C&D winner Prouts Pub.
