Verdict

JONAGOLD got back to winning ways over fences at Warwick last month and he could be hard to beat off what appears to be a lenient hurdles mark this afternoon. Ciaoifsin is one to note on his debut for new connections given his form in Ireland, while Buckeye Shan and Way Of The World are others who merit consideration in a moderate contest.

Verdict

ARTY CAMPBELL didn't fare too badly at Newton Abbot a fortnight ago and a generous 3 lb ease in the weights means he's eligible for this weaker race. Jonagold won over fences last month and is well handicapped if it does click over hurdles, while Ciaoifsin warrants a market check starting out for a new yard.

Modest on Flat but fair form over hurdles, successful at Wincanton (15.3f) in May (for Tracey Barfoot-Saunt). Improved for new yard when runner-up at Newton Abbot 15 days ago and major chance.

Verdict

LET'S SWAY made a pleasing debut for these connections when finishing second at Newton Abbot earlier in the month and she can be supported to go one better this afternoon. That victory can come at the main expense of Ilewin Geez, who has run well multiple times already this season. Nigh Or Never is the pick of the remainder but his lack of a recent run is a concern.

Verdict

LET'S SWAY immediately improved on the back of wind surgery for her new yard when runner-up at Newton Abbot 15 days ago and this looks a good opportunity to go one better. Nigh Or Never showed a fair level of form in a couple of juvenile hurdles last season and can provide the main threat back from 6 months off.

Verdict

CRESSWELL LEGEND was only narrowly denied on his seasonal debut at Perth recently and he may be underestimated by a mark of 132. Drovers Lane has been in good form of late over hurdles and the former winning point-to-pointer has to be included on the shortlist for this contest. All of the rest have chances but Scoop The Pot is the pick of them.

Verdict

CRESSWELL LEGEND made a pleasing fencing bow at Perth last month and has the potential to do much better in this sphere, particularly now returned to a more suitable trip. He makes plenty of appeal. Scoop The Pot and chase-debutant Drovers Lane may give him most to think about.

Has done nothing but progress since the spring, defying a 3 month break when completing hat-trick at Newton Abbot (21.5f) 2 weeks ago by 2 lengths. Has to merit respect again.

Verdict

MARBLE MOON has won his last three outings for Evan Williams and with the second from his latest triumph, Bradford Bridge, franking the form by scoring with ease next time out, it would be no surprise to see the six-year-old play a leading role once again. Commodore Barry took the step up in trip in his stride when making it two wins in a row on his reappearance at Southwell earlier this month and has to be considered as he goes in search of a hat-trick, while the 10-year-old Dreamsoftheatre rolled back the years when scoring at Warwick and can't be ruled out.

Verdict

A leap of faith is required in supporting SOME KINDA LAMA, yet he has joined a yard adept at rejuvenating such types, so he gets the narrow vote from a reduced mark without the benefit of market clues. Marble Moon and Commodore Barry can also play significant roles.

Another to take off immediately for Dan Skelton, winning a brace of handicaps over fences. Expensive to follow since, however.

Verdict

Rebel Yeats made a successful trip up to Hexham last month but now has a 7lb rise to defy following that comfortable six-length victory, while On Demand won in similarly taking fashion at Newton Abbot and is another for the shortlist. Atlanta Ablaze showed the benefit of a wind operation when scoring at Bangor but a 9lb hike makes life much tougher now dropping back in trip. A chance is taken on KING'S RESTE, who has been much improved since switching to Dan Skelton, having yet to finish outside of the top two for the yard, and could take advantage of the weight she receives from her useful rivals here.

Verdict

REBEL YEATS was suited by this longer trip when making it third time lucky in this sphere at Hexham and can defy a 7 lb rise. Atlanta Ablaze improved for a wind operation when scoring at Bangor and is feared most.

Verdict

STOP THE WORLD, a half-brother to Willie Mullins' Grade Two winner Up For Review, was somewhat disappointing given his profile in two bumpers last season, butt his point-to-point second to Brewin'Upastorm, a 250,000-pound purchase who was a leading figure in National Hunt Flat races last season, offers hope of a much improved showing now tackling obstacles. Golden Promise performed well on debut at Worcester last month and could go one better here, while Gwalia chased home useful opponents on all three bumper outings last season and must be respected.

Verdict

GOLDEN PROMISE shaped encouragingly when runner-up in a bumper at Worcester and can make a winning start to his hurdles career. Gwalia and Stop The World also showed plenty in bumpers and need considering, too.

Verdict

A 5lb rise may not be enough to stop Gary Moore's HERMOSA VAQUERA build on her recent Plumpton victory as she steps up in trip by half a mile. Pottlereaghexpress caught the eye in a maiden hurdle last time and is interesting now moving into the handicap ranks over a longer trip which should suit, and Jonjo' O'Neill's lightly-raced mare could get involved. A tongue-tie may help All Hands On Deck get closer than she has of late, while Versifier is respected despite struggling off this mark last time.

Verdict

POTTLEREAGHEXPRESS looks the type to improve plenty now going handicapping stepped up in trip and makes plenty of appeal. All Hands On Deck is another likely to do better along the same lines and she's respected. Hermosa Vaquera needs to defy a career-high mark after scoring at Plumpton but has won back-to-back races on the level for her current yard.
