Has shown little so far, including handicap debut last time. Still fairly early days but improvement needed.

Verdict

Sierra Oscar could be the one to watch here on his handicap debut having not been seen since November, when well beaten behind some useful rivals, and this step up in trip could play to Dan Skelton's charge's strengths. Jonjo O'Neill's Conteur d'Histoire requires a second look with the trainer's horses enjoying the spring ground of late. However, THE GRINDER may be the one to side with having chased home the talented Mount Mews at long odds earlier in the season and has been dropped 4lb for his sixth-placed effort on his handicap debut at Wetherby last time.

Verdict

HOLLOW BAY returned from a break to go close at Ludlow in October so her absence since December isn't a big worry and she might be up to notching a first career success. Sierra Oscar could leave his previous hurdles efforts behind now handicapping and gets the nod for the forecast spot ahead of Conteur d'Histoire.

Verdict

Jennie Candlish's D'nailor bounced back to form in style at Fakenham last time when running out a 12-length victor, but has been hit with a 10lb rise for that by the handicapper which could open the door for the consistent COPPERFACEJACK. The selection has recorded a sequence of five second-placed efforts lately and can land his victory now. Kapgarde King found a 7lb rise too much last time at Exeter but has to be considered once again here and the handicapper has relieved him of 2lb of that burden he received for triumphing here on Boxing Day.

Verdict

HONKYTONKTENNESSEE was successful off this mark over hurdles a couple of years ago and might be worth chancing having joined the Dan Skelton team since last seen in the autumn. Copperface Jack looks sure to be on the premises again, while Kapgarde King should be sharper with a recent comeback run behind him and also merits respect.

Verdict

Excellent Result did the job well at Kempton last time and is respected but will find life tougher now and may struggle to concede 12lb to THE BLUE BOMBER who hasn't fulfilled the early promise so far this season but was in the process of running a huge race when coming to grief three out last time. Don Cantillon's Hollywood Road was a course and distance winner here in October and is respected, while I'll Be Your Clown made a winning start to life in the care of Dan Skelton and is dangerous once again here with Harry Skelton in the plate.

Verdict

EXCELLENT RESULT has to concede a bit of weight all round but he's well on the way to replicating his useful Flat form over hurdles and might be up to the task. Hollywood Road struck at the second time of asking over hurdles in a C&D juvenile in October and has the potential for better still back from a break, while I'll Be Your Clown made a winning start for Dan Skelton at Stratford recently.

Verdict

FOOL TO CRY didn't appreciate give underfoot at Sedgefield when last seen in November and a return to faster ground for the former Roger Varian-trained four-year-old should spark immediate improvement. A 160- day break is likely to have freshened her up and she can account for the hat-trick chasing Hint Of Grey, who will be back on the Flat after this run, or Hestina, who won well despite being too keen last time out and should go well under Harry Skelton.

Verdict

FOOL TO CRY clearly can't have been herself when well beaten at Sedgefield in November but she looks fairly treated based on her 2 juvenile wins prior to that and can make a successful return to action. Hint of Grey is likely to go well in her hat-trick bid, while it all came together over hurdles for Hestina at Ludlow last time and she has the potential for better given her Flat ability.

In reasonable form over fences in the autumn (won at Fontwell in September) and bounced back from a couple of poor runs when second of 4 at Ludlow last month.

In reasonable form over fences in the autumn (won at Fontwell in September) and bounced back from a couple of poor runs when second of 4 at Ludlow last month.

Verdict

WORKBENCH returned to some kind of form when runner-up at Ludlow a month ago for Harry Skelton and a return to a venue where he is 2-2 could prove key to the nine-year-old, who is now 4lb below his last winning mark. This better ground should suit and he can account for Winner Massagot, who has proved frustrating to follow this season and connections turn to first-time cheekpieces to try and spark a resurgence. Un Ace takes a drop in class after struggling in the Brown Plate at Cheltenham last month, while the consistent Sir Note looks best of the remainder.

Verdict

SIR NOTE just keeps on getting better and is selected to make it 6 wins from just 8 starts over fences. This is a significant drop in class for Un Ace and Kim Bailey's charge could be the one to give him most to do if reacting positively to a first-time visor.

Smart hurdler whose class carried him through when making a winning chasing debut at Towcester last month, but he did rather throw away a gilt-edged opportunity at Hereford since. Blinkers back on.

Verdict

Dry ground is essential to NET WORK ROUGE and he rates as the one to beat if ready to go after a 201-day break. The eight-year-old has more scope for improvement in this sphere and has gone well after layoffs in the past. Shelford was successful on his chase debut at Towcester before finding one too good at Hereford last month and it would be a major surprise if he wasn't thereabouts at the finish, with Next Exit likely to find these two too hot to handle.

Verdict

This is surely a straight fight between SHELFORD and Net Work Rouge, who are both talented but a bit quirky. We know the former arrives in form after a win and second last month and that just tips things in his favour over his returning rival.

Verdict

COGBURN didn't look to be in love with heavy ground at Wincanton last time out and he can prove that running to be all wrong on this drying ground. Connections reach for a first-time eye-shield and the five-year-old can help to improve Alan King's 5-20 record with bumper runners here in recent years. Hatcher has improved with each run and could be capable of landing one of these before switching to the sticks, while No Hiding Place is related to some nice types and could have his say.

Verdict

HATCHER sets a decent standard based on his 2 placed efforts and has to be the call, though strong market support for the Nicky Henderson newcomer No Hiding Place would put a slightly different slant on things. Cogburn was possibly unsuited by heavy ground last time and could also figure if bouncing back to his debut form.
