Verdict

Aye Aye Skipper returned to form when runner-up at Lingfield at the weekend and remains on the same mark off which he can prove competitive once again. Jeremy's Jet has been knocking on the door on his last couple of appearances and is respected but the vote goes to ERTIDAAD, who looked a non-stayer over 1m2f last time but won over this trip at Chelmsford two outings ago.

Verdict

BABETTE took a step back in the right direction when third at Wolverhampton 9 days ago, and is clearly one to bear in mind from this basement mark. Paco Filly is one of the least exposed in the field and will prove suited by this step back up trip, with Lady Nahema and Living Leader others to consider.

Verdict

LORD OBERON made a winning start to his career when landing the spoils at Southwell last month and, in a contest that doesn't appear to have much depth on paper, he can double up under a penalty. Newcomer Capla Jaipur is of interest for the Marco Botti yard, while others to consider include Duba Plains, fourth over this trip at Newcastle, and Tribal Warrior, who posted his best effort so far when third over C&D earlier in the month.

Verdict

TRIBAL WARRIOR showed improved form when third over C&D at the start of the month and, with further progress likely, is selected to make the most of the weight he receives from last month's Southwell debut scorer Lord Oberon. Lilbourne Star is a likely sort on paper for the Clive Cox team and also makes the shortlist.

Verdict

SUSSEX RANGER is an intriguing runner on the Flat having recently finished second to the classy We Have A Dream in the Grade 1 Finale Juvenile Hurdle at Chepstow, and a mark of 76 in this sphere looks more than fair. The booking of Ryan Moore for his father Gary also catches the eye, and the pair can account for Luv U Whatever, who arrives here in great form for Marjorie Fife. Native Fighter continues to run creditably and shouldn't be far away either.

Verdict

BECCA CAMPBELL never landed a blow on her return here last month, but she kept on under a considerate ride and isn't one to dismiss from this mark. Native Fighter should go well again, while Sussex Ranger is potentially well treated back in this sphere and makes up the shortlist.

Verdict

The hat-trick seeking WATERSMEET has proved a profitable horse to follow on synthetic surfaces and Mark Johnston's charge is fancied to take advantage of another nice opening. The seven-year-old has already qualified for All-Weather Finals day and should prove too strong for Lord George, who got back on track with a course-and-distance success last month. Curbyourenthusiasm has some ground to make up on the selection based on a couple of past meetings.

Verdict

WATERSMEET sets the standard and is taken to complete the hat-trick. Lord George won with a bit in hand over C&D last month, and he’s got it in him to go well again.

Won 1m handicaps at Southwell and Wolverhampton in January. Further progress when third of 8 at latter track (9.5f) a fortnight ago. Up in trip again. Could easily have more to offer.

Verdict

COSMEAPOLITAN was only half a length away at Lingfield and the drop in trip here can see him go one better to get off the mark on a synthetic surface. Stablemate Keep In Line is not without claims, while Kelly's Dino has to be respected on a raiding mission from the north and wasn't beaten far when in search of a hat-trick last time. Calling Out is another expected to go well.

Verdict

COSMEAPOLITAN had Intrepidly behind in third when a promising second at Lingfield last month and is taken to resume winning ways. This is a step up in class for Kelly's Dino but he's certainly going the right way and also makes the shortlist.
