Verdict

Strongarm Chaser put in his best performance to date when switched to handicap company at Brighton last time and could go even better in this grade, but FULL SUIT has to be given a chance on the pick of his form in novice company, especially now dropped back to the trip that saw him finish second at Chelmsford. Recent Bath fourth Manchego and Hughie Morrison's Racehorse complete the shortlist.

Verdict

MANCHEGO has largely performed with credit in handicaps this year and holds sound claims dropping into a seller for the first time. Strongarm Chaser wasn't disgraced in handicap company last time and won't need to step up much on that form to go close, while Racehorse is another who is still relatively unexposed after only a handful of starts.

Verdict

Unless handicap debutants Katie Lee, Miss Mumtaz, Jenoow and Livvys Dream show considerable improvement for the switch to this sphere, this looks an ideal opportunity for GEETANJALI. Michael Bell's filly has never run on turf before, but has shown plenty of ability on artificial surfaces and comes into this on the back of a head defeat at Wolverhampton. Newmarket third Lethal Angel is another to keep an eye on.

Verdict

GEETANJALI has progressed nicely in AW handicaps and is taken to continue the good work switched to turf. Lethal Angel shaped well when an improved third on her handicap debut/reappearance and likely has more to offer, while the booking of James Doyle suggests Miss Mumtaz could go well on her first run for in-form Ian Williams.

Winning return at Kempton in April but ran poorly at Bath (5.7f, good to firm) since.

Verdict

Plenty of in-form contenders here, with Prince Ahwahnee coming into this on the back of a Lingfield success, while Myboyhenry has an all-weather success to his name this year. Garbial The Saint won nicely at Chester last time, but the prolific ELNADIM STAR gets the vote. Kevin Ryan's charge made it three wins on the bounce when scoring narrowly at Wetherby last time and a 10lb hike may not stop her just yet.

Verdict

GABRIAL THE SAINT was value for more than the winning margin when quickening clear in good style at Chester last time and can make light of an 8 lb rise. Elnadim Star is another progressive sort and looks sure to have a big say as he bids to make it 4 in a row, while Prince Ahwahnee is another who arrives on the back of a smooth win last time.

Verdict

John Gosden has a strong hand with Photographer and Raa Atoll. Though the latter has the form on turf, Frankie Dettori rides the former, who was beaten just a length at Newcastle last time. Rashdan got off the mark at Southwell last time and merits respect, but KINAESTHESIA could be worth another chance. A winner at Nottingham on her debut last year, Ralph Beckett's filly was a fairly short price for her return in Listed company and could prove that poor effort was just a blip today.

Verdict

In what looks a potentially useful contest, it may be best to focus on John Gosden's duo RAA ATOLL and Photographer, both of whom have shown abundant promise and are entered in the Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot next month. The latter will presumably be popular with Frankie aboard but preference is for Raa Atoll, who was impressive at Nottingham. Mantovani is one of several other promising types.

Lightly-raced maiden. Fourth of 7 in handicap at Salisbury (9.9f, good to firm, 7/1) 11 days ago. That was a decent race and she should have a part to play here.

Verdict

Qaswarah won well enough at Chepstow last time to merit a mention, while Sailing Home has performed admirably without winning in three starts in novice contests. Burgonet got off the mark in a Newmarket maiden and a rating of 80 may underestimate her somewhat, but AMOURICE gets the vote after winning despite being keen early at Doncaster last time.

Verdict

QASWARAH's theme is that of gradual improvement and she seemingly had more in hand than the margin of victory suggests on her recent handicap bow at Chepstow. On that evidence, this 4 lb higher mark should be well within reach, particularly given that there's probably more to come. Point In Time is a threat based on her latest effort and Newmarket maiden winner Burgonet is also feared.

Winner at Lingfield in March. 14/1, good second of 19 in handicap at Ascot (8f, soft) 26 days ago, no match for winner. Amassing a consistent profile and merits respect off same mark.

Verdict

Aclimatise won as he pleased at Carlisle and the decision to run him under a penalty should be a shrewd move as the handicapper is likely to take a dim view of his four-length romp. However, he has to give lumps of weight to JUMIRA PRINCE here, which may prove too much to bear. Roger Varian's gelding appeared to have matters under control from a fair way out at Doncaster last time and the narrow margin of victory means he's only been raised 4lb for this. Ascot second Secret Return is another for the shortlist.

Verdict

NAJASHEE failed to justify strong support on handicap debut at Sandown when last seen in September but looked most promising in maidens prior to that. He appeals as the type to make up into a better 4-y-o and this mark could turn out to be a lenient one. Last-time-out winners Jumira Prince and Aclimatise merit respect but Secret Return, who put in a good shift at Ascot last time, is feared most.
