Verdict

Jessica Harrington's team are in fine fettle at present and she unleashes a fascinating newcomer in the shape of BELLAKRIS. The daughter of Scat Daddy cost 200,000 euros at the Goresbridge Breeze-Up sale in May and comes from an American family that contains Graded winners. Ho Ho Bird is an interesting homebred from the family of Marling, while any market support for the likes of Never Shy Away and Delphinia has to be noted in what could prove an informative contest.

Verdict

FIRE FLY was a shade disappointing at the Curragh last month, but that form looks better now and she's taken to make it fourth time lucky with this return to 7f sure to suit. Stablemate Delphinia heads up some interesting newcomers, among them Bellakris and Never Shy Away.

Verdict

FOCUS OF ATTENTION has done little wrong since joining Joseph O'Brien having won her last two starts in good style. She scored with a bit in hand at Naas over 5f at the end of last month and a 7lb rise looks more than fair. T For Tango has benefited for the switch to Richard O'Brien, going close on both attempts for new connections, and is respected off the same mark as his C&D second last week. Captain Power has been knocking on the door recently and also enters the equation.

Verdict

None of the six can be dismissed but FOCUS OF ATTENTION looks a sprinter on the up and could prove far too good to gain a third straight win. T For Tango has a big shout, while Captain Power and Ducky Mallon, both previous winners of this race, shaped up nicely last time.

Verdict

HYPNOTIC FORCE is open to improvement on just her fifth career start and can be forgiven a below-par effort at Galway at the start of the month. She won her maiden at Roscommon over this distance the time before and can return to that kind of level. Sheila's Hope was disappointing when only beating one rival home at Gowran but her previous form had been very solid, while Meagher's Flag and Koybig look best of the remainder.

Verdict

CASTLE GUEST's first couple of runs this year could have put him spot on for this, so it's worth taking a chance that this well-handicapped, 3-time C&D winner can capitalise on a reduced mark to end quite a long losing run here. Remembered Joy and Koybig arrive in good order and should be considered along with the less-exposed Meagher's Flag.

Highly promising sort. Fourth of 18 in maiden at the Curragh (7f, good to firm, 10/1) on debut 10 days ago, never nearer. Should leave that form behind and get off the mark here.

Verdict

SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE was a huge eyecatcher on his debut, making up plenty of ground in the closing stages when fourth at the Curragh over 7f. He is a half-brother to Melbourne Cup winner Rekindling and to Irish Derby runner-up Golden Sword so the extra furlong is guaranteed to bring about improvement. His stable companions Constantinople and Jack Yeats are both well-bred individuals who are expected to benefit for their first outings, while fellow newcomer Madhmoon comes from a Shadwell family that his trainer knows extremely well.

Verdict

SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE looks the type to progress gradually as his stamina is drawn out but, based on the impression he made when fourth at The Curragh on debut, he won't need to make a marked step up to get off the mark here. Jack Yeats is the more preferable of the selection's stablemates with some speed on the dam's side of his pedigree and Ger Lyons' newcomer Army Recruit is worth noting.

Verdict

Roger Varian has enjoyed decent success when sending runners over to Ireland and he has an excellent chance of adding to his tally with MASAARR. The son of Distorted Humor was a little frustrating earlier in the season but the return to a mile has improved him. A pair of blinkers saw him produce a career best in a Listed contest at Deauville, and he can progress further now stepping back into Group company. Zihba lost his unbeaten record in the Irish 2,000 Guineas but returns to the scene of his Amethyst Stakes success. Escobar is also respected back up in class having looked unlucky at Goodwood in the Golden Mile.

Verdict

ESCOBAR has been bang on his game without having much luck in top-end handicaps of late and looks well worth a step up to this level. Provided the gaps come at the right time, he can get the better of the upwardly-mobile Masaarr, who is respected along with American Pharoah's brother St Patrick's Day.

Verdict

KORBOUS rattled the crossbar over 7f at this venue and is taken to go one better now stepped back up in trip. He's a C&D winner and was beaten under a length over a mile here off 1lb lower in June. Dance Alone was successful on that occasion, and performed with credit over shorter at Galway. He can fight it out for the silver medal with Avalanche and Coreczka, both of whom picked up minor money over track and trip last week.

Verdict

GLOBAL PASS shaped well on his first run for Richard O'Brien over C&D last week and could be worth chancing with the likelihood that he'll build on that. Avalanche (second in the same race), Korbous and handicap debutant Impactful are among the dangers.

Verdict

MINNIE HAHA lost little in defeat when chasing home Who's Steph at Naas in October and is interesting now returning from a break. Her conqueror that day has won two Group 3 races since and wasn't beaten far in the Irish 1,000 Guineas so Jessica Harrington's filly could potentially be a class above these. Aishling's Secret, Intermedia, Shareva and Uluru Park have all shown enough to be considered viable place contenders.
