Verdict

Ger Lyons' DALIYAH has the best of the known form heading into this contest and will be looking to build on that and land a first victory at the third attempt. Jessie Harrington's Cristale wasn't disgraced on debut and could have improvement to come, while Dermot Weld has started to fire in a few winners lately having had a luckless run and his War Front filly Chiara Luna has to be respected on debut.

Verdict

DALIYAH is the obvious form call and ought to find this within her reach for trainer Ger Lyons. The unraced Chiara Luna looks interesting on breeding and could be the one for second though My Lark is intriguing making her debut, too.

C&D winner. Eleven runs since last win in 2016. 10/1 and blinkered for 1st time, good third of 13 in handicap at this course (7.1f, good to soft) 28 days ago.

Verdict

CAPTAIN POWER was a likeable winner at Fairyhouse last time and the five-year-old can play a part once again off just 4lb higher in the ratings. Ducky Mallon is another who scored last time out to consider, while Victorious Secret could get closer than his third last time now dropping in trip. Course winner Little Clarinet is another to consider but she has rather gone off the boil since that win and needs to return to her best now.

Verdict

PLOUGH BOY may have the narrowest of edges in this field and could collect for trainer Garvan Donnelly. If he fails to reproduce his best form then Tribal Path will be waiting to pounce, leaving Victorious Secret and Captain Power to fight it out for third.

Verdict

THE TULIP has been knocking on the door of late and has the assistance of top apprentice Oisin Orr to offset the burden of top weight in this contest. Settle For Red is respected despite having a career high mark to contend with, while Coffee is sure to come on for his seasonal bow and is also considered at longer odds.

Verdict

THE TULIP ran well in second last time out at Tipperary and may go one better in a first time hood this evening despite the burden of top-weight. Settle For Red may well be her biggest danger in receipt of eleven pounds though both Mainicin and On The Go Again are entitled to have a say

Verdict

Aidan O'Brien holds a strong hand here with two runners and the master of Ballydoyle will be optimistic that his Frankel colt NELSON can improve for the return to a mile and build on his Curragh second last time out. He also saddles the Camelot colt Christopher Robin, who is a worthy second string to the bow and one to keep an eye on. Godolphin's Dawn Approach colt Dawn Arrival is another to consider making his first start, while Tashman may also be worthy of a second look.

Verdict

CHRISTOPHER ROBIN is a tentative selection on debut but is bred to be well above average, and has the assistance of Seamie Heffernan in the saddle. Stable companion Nelson is the obvious danger and he has an experience advantage but may have to settle for second, though Tashman is another intriguing newcomer who won't be far away.

Verdict

There was just three-parts of a length splitting True Valour (first), Sea Wolf (second) and Alexios Komnenos (third) in a Listed event at the Curragh last month and that trio all have chances again, while 2014 winner Custom Cut is likely to tow them along and would be dangerous if getting too much rope. Galway Festival scorer Music Box is unlikely to be far away either but preference is for the Roger Varian-trained MORANDO. The form of his comeback Listed success at Windsor took a massive boost when the third Here Comes When went two places better in the Sussex Stakes next time and, open to further improvement, the four-year-old rates the one to beat.

Verdict

MORANDO gets the vote in a fascinating field but only just and will need to build on his Windsor win, though that was his first race since last October and improvement seems likely. Intricately is interesting dropping in trip after weakening badly over a mile and a half in the Irish Oaks, leaving True Valour as a possible for third.

Verdict

It might pay to side with dual course winner, and top-rated, KORBOUS in what looks a tricky puzzle for punters to solve. He has been hammering on the door recently and, despite slowly edging up the ratings, seems sure to be in the firing line again. Hasselnott backed up his Gowran win with a solid placed effort at the Galway Festival and has the potential to improve further now equipped with a hood. He warrants plenty of respect, as does recent Curragh scorer Captain Cullen and C&D runner-up Cloudy Miss.

Verdict

ATLAS is a tentative selection in this field but has a narrow edge if he can repeat his recent better efforts. If that fails to happen then Korbous seems the biggest danger, with Oisin Orr's five pound claim a bonus, though both Poetic Choice and Captain Cullen are also entitled to be in the hunt for some place money.
