Verdict

GOLDEN WOLF is obviously vulnerable after five starts but continues to run with credit, stays this trip well and holds Lewinsky on their previous meeting when second and fourth respectively in a Wolverhampton maiden. The selection has since finished a respectable second at Chester in handicap company and can get off the mark. There is a suggestion that Lewinsky did not run her race at Wolverhampton and she remains dangerous, while Hats Off To Larry showed plenty of promise on his Windsor debut and definitely warrants shortlist inclusion.

Verdict

GOLDEN WOLF showed improved form when runner-up on his handicap bow at Chester last week and sets the standard back in a maiden. Lewinsky and Hats Off To Larry are others to consider.

Verdict

OCEAN DRIVE was a little disappointing on turf debut but is worth another chance, having shaped well on both previous starts on an artificial surface. The step up in trip should assist her cause and she's preferred to opponents who look mainly exposed. Falcon Cliffs does not fall into that category and now has a first run for William Muir since leaving Joseph Tuite, but she will need to bounce back from a couple of modest efforts. Star Maker needs to put a poor run latest behind her too and it's Conkering Hero and Amelia Dream who could put up most resistance.

Verdict

Well-bred filly OCEAN DRIVE remains with potential after just 3 outings and this step up in trip will be in her favour. Amelia Dream is next best ahead of Star Maker.

Thrice-raced maiden. Ninth of 14 in minor event (14/1) at Windsor (6f, good) 19 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Plenty to find on form.

Verdict

Atalanta Queen bolted up by five lengths in a C&D claimer on soft ground last time and commands respect now moving back into a handicap off a 3lb lower mark, but marginal preference is for GLOBAL EXCEED, who has performed with credit on slow ground in the past and may improve for the fitting of first-time blinkers this evening. Rock On Bertie has edged up 2lb for finishing a neck second at Nottingham last month and could also take a hand.

Verdict

ATALANTA QUEEN improved when an easy winner of a C&D claimer 17 days ago and looks on a good mark back in a handicap on debut for a new yard. Rock On Bertie and Hope And Glory are feared most.

Once-raced maiden. Ninth of 12 in minor event (33/1) at Salisbury (7f, good to firm) on debut 28 days ago.

Verdict

YAAFOUR is the most experienced and exposed member of the septet but holds strong form claims as his minor placings have arrived in decent Newmarket maidens, a repeat of which should suffice here. Harmonica was green as grass on debut but came home to good effect once getting the hang of things and rates an obvious danger, while Pacific Fleet completes the shortlist after showing improved form when third at York last month. The remainder will need to improve to trouble the aforementioned trio.

Verdict

YAAFOUR sets a clear standard and can take advantage of what looks a good opportunity. Pacific Fleet and Harmonica can battle for minor honours.

Lightly-raced maiden. 80/1, last of 7 in handicap at Lingfield (5f, AW) 24 days ago. Significantly up in trip.

Verdict

Nothing makes strong appeal in a race of little solid form but QUEENS ROYALE at least has the virtue of not having been beaten far on her last two starts and this trip could prove ideal for the Michael Appleby filly. Harbour Force is interesting in first-time blinkers on handicap bow and would be one to take note of should the money come for him, while Stopdworldnletmeof has also shown sprinkles of form this term and would be of definite interest if able to reproduce the level of his third placing behind Foxford on his penultimate start.

Verdict

HARBOUR FORCE went backwards in 2 starts following a promising debut effort at Windsor during the spring. However, he's been gelded ahead of this and now equipped with blinkers so could be worth chancing without the benefit of market clues. Queens Royale and D'waterside are others to consider.

Verdict

Silvestre De Sousa travels on from Newmarket for just one ride on the card - GLENAMOY LAD. Michael Wigham's Irish import disappointed here on his first run for the yard but atoned in style when coming with a sweeping late run to score at Newmarket next time. He is up 4lb for the win and could unlock further improvement to deal with essentially older, exposed sorts. Fellow three-year-old Qatari Riyals is also respected, while Seamster is taken as the best of the older brigade as he retains form and enthusiasm admirably. Whitecrest is also running well at present.

Verdict

GLENAMOY LAD did well to score under the circumstances at Newmarket 8 days ago, ultimately finding plenty to lead near the line. He gets the vote to follow up in the hope this doesn't come too soon. Dream Farr and Qatari Riyals are fancied to give the selection most to do.

Twice-raced filly. 11/2, fifth of 7 in maiden at Yarmouth (6f, good) 16 days ago.

Verdict

Buxted Dream has proved a costly failure more than once this term and has been turned over at odds-on the last twice. That said, he still has a strong claim but much will depend how good Godolphin newcomer Perfect Sense is. The market should help to determine his chance but we'll go with PTARMIGAN RIDGE to beat the pair. He has shown decent form on both starts at Doncaster, will handle the soft ground for sure and should have room for further progression after just a couple of starts to date.

Verdict

The fact PTARMIGAN RIDGE has proved his effectiveness under these conditions may well count for plenty, and with further progress on the cards he can take the finale. Godolphin newcomer Perfect Sense can do battle with Buxted Dream for the forecast.
