Two from two over C&D on the Flat this year, finishing second over hurdles in between. Likely to go well again and another to consider in a tight race.

Verdict

Track and trip winner EJAYTEEKAY can land the hat-trick here and looks extremely well treated heading into this contest for handler Hughie Morrison and regular pilot Charlie Bennett, who has struck up a great relationship with the filly. Bybrook is entitled to finish closer now cheekpieces are tried, while Georgia Cox got a great tune out of Miss Inga Sock when scoring last time and she could play a part in the finish also.

Verdict

Little to separate these rivals, most of whom arrive in form. EJAYTEEKAY proved her stamina for this trip in claiming company last time and is narrowly preferred to fellow hat-trick seeker Hermosa Vaquera. Unexposed pair Rainbow Rising and Perfect Spy also merit respect.

No impact in maidens but more realistic chance now handicapping over longer trip.

Verdict

OUR CILLA was impressive when a six-length winner over track and trip two starts ago and she can be forgiven her latest effort at Nottingham when finding two miles in heavy ground too much to handle. Despite a stiff looking mark, she is backed to thrive dropping back to today's distance at the venue of her career best effort. Percy Thrower is a well tried alternative who is sure to be on the scene, while Ravenswood has been slowly getting closer for his new handler on his last two visits here and could have more to come now tried up in trip.

Verdict

RAVENSWOOD has made a solid start for new trainer Patrick Chamings and can gain compensation for his narrow defeat here last time. Perla Blanca leaves the impression this increased test of stamina will suit her and is also respected along with Our Cilla and Snowy Winter.

Verdict

William Haggas' GIVE AND TAKE has knocked on the door on his opening two outings and the Cityscape filly is backed to go one better this time to score at the third attempt. Beckton is another who has made a likeable start to her racing career and is considered along with Charlie Fellowes' Lady Of Aran, while the Godolphin newcomer Lunar Maria may be best of the racecourse debutants.

Verdict

GIVE AND TAKE has to be the percentage call after a couple of promising runner-up efforts, including on softish ground, although strong support for the Charlie Appleby newcomer Lunar Maria would put a slightly different slant on things. Lady of Aran is likely to build on an encouraging course debut and also makes the shortlist.

Verdict

Oh This Is Us has the requisite class for this assignment having picked up a Listed contest at Haydock in May. However, he carries a penalty for that victory, so preference is instead for DREAM OF DREAMS, who is entitled to come on for his last run at Newmarket, which was his first for his new stable, and is unexposed over this longer trip. Ibn Malik has claims on his best form, though he's been well below his best on recent evidence.

Verdict

A good-quality minor race and it provides OH THIS IS US with a good chance to regain the winning thread having rather lost his way in much better races than this over the summer. Ibn Malik is the likely pace angle and is dangerous if allowed things his own way.

Lightly-raced winner. 1/4, didn't need to improve to win 7-runner maiden at this course (7f, good to soft) 10 days ago. Makes handicap debut and this a harder assignment.

Verdict

Angel Of Darkness is a pillar of consistency and shouldn't be fazed by the drop back from 7f, having finished a neck behind Pepita on her penultimate outing over this trip at Windsor. Of more interest, however, is BECK AND CALL, who is only 2lb higher than when scoring over C&D in June and hinted the return to 6f would suit when third over 5f at Windsor last month. Hindsight struck over 7f here latest and has place claims now cutting back in trip.

Verdict

BECK AND CALL got off the mark over this C&D on handicap debut in June and back over 6f, makes as much appeal as any. Curious Fox can compromise her chance at the stalls but a level break will see her on the premises, while Angel of Darkness shaped quite well in a better race than this at York last time.

Last of 7 in claimer at Wolverhampton (7.2f, 50/1) 7 days ago, going off too hard. Has work to do tackling this longer trip again.

Verdict

HAJJAM has been in very consistent form since moving to the yard of David O'Meara and is only 3lb higher than for his recent win at Redcar. The booking of Kieran Shoemark is a definite positive to his chances and the son of Paco Boy can continue to progress. Ower Fly warrants consideration on his recent form having placed the last twice, while Family Fortunes is entitled to have improved for his recent run at Salisbury having had a mid-season break.

Verdict

OWER FLY is holding his form well equipped with blinkers of late, and has already proved his effectiveness on this sort of ground, so all looks set fair for a big run from his lower turf mark. Family Fortunes is worth another chance to prove his worth on turf and is feared, as is Coral Sea back on a softer surface.

Verdict

WESTERN SAFARI appears to have gone backwards since making an encouraging debut back in March but the switch to handicap company could see her return to winning ways this afternoon. Arctic Flower was very disappointing at Windsor last time but she racked up a four-timer over 7f here prior to that. Hedging and Scarlet Thrush also warrant their place on the shortlist for this event.

Verdict

ARCTIC FLOWER was unable to dominate on firmer ground away from this track at Windsor last time and can quickly resume winning ways under her ideal conditions.Tigerwolf and Hedging are feared most.

Verdict

LUCKY LOUIE is the obvious pick following a series of second-placed finishes this year and he will be very hard to keep out of the frame today. Many Dreams was slightly disappointing at Salisbury last time out but she cannot be discounted in a race at this level. Others to note in a moderate race to close the card are Luang Prabang, Rattle On and Zorba The Greek.

Verdict

SENTINEL is bred to be useful, and following an encouraging comeback last month, is taken to build on that back on turf and open his account. Lucky Louie is a solid proposition in this grade, with Zorba The Greek another to consider down in trip.
