Verdict

ARNOUL OF METZ appeared to win a shade cosily over this trip at Wolverhampton last time out and is taken to overcome a 4lb rise to notch a quick double. Cent Flying attracted support when beaten at Windsor last time but is only 2lb higher than when going down by a nose at Bath in May and could feasibly bounce back. The pick of the remainder may be Indian Warrior, who was outpaced over 5f at Haydock last time and now steps back up in trip.

Verdict

ARNOUL OF METZ is getting the hang of things now and looks capable of following up his Wolverhampton win after a 4 lb rise. Indian Warrior is next best ahead of Cent Flying.

Promising sort. 7/2, fourth of 8 in minor event at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) on debut 19 days ago. Should improve for that initial experience and considered despite a wide draw.

Verdict

CAPLA ROCK improved for the step up to this trip when winning at Nottingham last month and is expected to follow up under a penalty. In receipt of weight from the selection, William Haggas' newcomer Seductive is worth monitoring closely in the betting, as as Richard Hannon's debutant, Ajrar. I Am Magical should be all the wiser for the experience gained when sixth on debut at Doncaster and is expected to take closer order.

Verdict

THOUGHTFULLY shaped with plenty of promise when fourth on debut at Newmarket last month and, with that run likely to have brought her on, she is fancied to go close despite a less-than-ideal draw in 9. Seductive is an interesting newcomer and feared, whilst the sole winner in the field Capla Rock can also feature.

Once-raced maiden. 16/1, fifth of 11 in minor event at Kempton (6f) on debut 42 days ago, slowly away. Open to progress.

Verdict

CHONBURI took a step in the right direction when fourth over 5f at Windsor last time. Noted as putting in her best work in the finish on that occasion, Richard Hannon's charge is expected to improve for this additional furlong. Parisean Artiste similarly confirmed she's going the right way when fifth at Windsor last time, while Roxy Art and Swiss Air are entitled to build on their debut spins and could feasibly take closer order.

Verdict

Archie Watson is enjoying a fine season with his juveniles so a chance is taken on ISAAN QUEEN. The daughter of War Command holds an entry in the Lowther at York next month and earns the vote without the benefit of market clues. Swiss Air, Take Fright and Roxy Art all rate likely improvers on the back of their debut efforts.

Verdict

FRANK COOL was thwarted by a neck over 5f at Newbury last time and is expected to remain competitive following a 2lb rise. C&D winner Ask The Guru has been knocking on the door at Brighton and wouldn't be winning out of turn if successful. Others worthy of inclusion on the shortlist are the reliable Llamrei and Sandfrankskipsgo, a track and trip winner who has been competitive in higher grades in the past.

Verdict

SANDFRANKSKIPSGO is firmly into the veteran stage of his career but retains plenty of enthusiasm and this is the weakest grade of handicap he has ever contested. Staffa shaped quite well on reappearance, while Boodley requires a market check.

Unreliable type. Remains a maiden after 25 Flat runs. 12/1, creditable second of 11 in handicap at Kempton (16f) 7 days ago (flashing tail latter stages). Mark looks fair if putting it all together.

Verdict

Its'afreebee gained reward for a series of consistent efforts in defeat when scoring by over three lengths over 1m6f at Yarmouth last time and is expected to give another good account now turned out under a penalty. Over this longer trip, however, marginal preference is for ARDAMIR, who is taken to gain compensation for his head beating over 2m at Kempton latest. Rydan has dropped to a workable mark and cannot be ruled out either.

Verdict

This is likely to get tactical given the lack of obvious pace/small field, but ITS'AFREEBIE brings recent winning form to the table which could well count for plenty and he can come out on top. Ardamir can take second.

Verdict

DUBAI LANDMARK wasn't beaten too far here when fifth on the all-weather track last time and from a 1lb lower mark is backed to better that effort. Vanderbilt ran with credit when third on stable debut for Mark Gillard at Brighton and has to be considered in a first-time visor, while new headgear is also tried on the useful Greenview Paradise and Outrath, with the latter 5lb higher than when scoring at Kempton three starts ago.

Verdict

VANDERBILT made a pleasing start for new connections when third at Brighton a fortnight ago, and unexposed over this sort of trip, he could be the way to go. Dubai Landmark has his first start against the older brigade and has to be feared in a race lacking depth.

Twice-raced maiden. Second of 9 in minor event at Bath (11.6f, good to firm, 11/8) 63 days ago, clear of rest. Open to improvement.

Verdict

Heart Of Grace caught the eye when scoring at Goodwood on debut and despite faltering last time, the 41 million yen yearling (around 300,000 pounds) has to be respected. However, preference is for Mark Johnston's Frankel filly FRANCOPHILIA, who has been sent off favourite on both starts and showed improvement when second at Bath up in trip last time. Volcanic Sky is expected to have come on for his debut, while Pegasus Kid should have more to give having made the podium on both starts so far.

Verdict

FRANCOPHILIA made a solid start to her career during the spring and can come out on top in receipt of weight all round. Heart of Grace may emerge as the chief threat.

One win from 2 runs this year. 5/6, career best when winning 5-runner handicap at this C&D (good) 7 days ago. Carries penalty but claims are crystal clear.

Verdict

TROUBLE AND STRIFE opened her account here last time with an impressive two-and-a-quarter-length success over course and distance. The Declaration Of War filly has shown a clear liking for this venue/step up to this distance the last twice and is backed to follow up under a 6lb penalty. Brexitmeansbrexit was not disgraced here over shorter last time, but will need to step up if she's to open her account this time.

Verdict

A straightforward race to assess, with the progressive TROUBLE AND STRIFE expected to see off the consistent but rather exposed Brexitmeansbrexit.
