Verdict

BALLINSLEA BRIDGE has knocked on the door on all four outings under rules, including here on Boxing Day when bumping into a smart rival from Dan Skelton's. He has a likeable rival to try and see off once again here in Tom George's Super Sid who won well at Southwell. However, Olly Murphy's point winner can get his head in front at the finish here. New Quay is respected at a venue the Skelton's often do well at, while any money for Steve Gollings' Eurato must be respected at the handler's local track.

Verdict

SUPER SID looked an above-average novice when making a successful transition to hurdles for his new yard at Southwell last month, and with improvement forthcoming, he is taken to defy a penalty. New Quay, Absolutely Dylan and Ballinslea Bridge are all potential threats.

Failed to win over fences but return to hurdles saw him resume winning ways at Catterick on New Year's Day. More on plate in this stronger race but could still be well treated.

Verdict

The 11-year-old RED DANAHER was a runaway 29-lengths winner at Carrerick when last seen and just a 6lb rise from the assessor entitles him to get involved once again here, racing from the foot of the handicap. One Of Us graduates from novice company having landed a hot heat at Ascot and is entitled to plenty of respect, while Bright Tomorrow and Loch Linnhe are others to consider.

Verdict

ONE OF US is getting his act together now and can make light of a 4 lb rise for Ascot. This is a much stronger race than the one Red Danaher won at Catterick recently but he retains handicapping scope in this sphere, while Bright Tomorrow also merits respect on the back of a good second at Wetherby over Christmas.

Four-time winning hurdler who could be all the better for his return to this sphere at Wetherby 4 days ago. Lurks on a dangerous mark.

Verdict

Despite hinting at plenty of potential, Fresh New Dawn has yet to score, and the Flemensfirth gelding will be wanting to set the record straight here. However, he may have to wait a little longer to open his account, with preference for Taunton scorer CABERNET D'ALENE who received just a fair 5lb rise for that triumph. Conor Dore holds two likeable alternatives with Royal Beekeeper and Towering and both can run well at backable prices.

Verdict

MORIANOUR was all the better for his reappearance when beaten only by another unexposed sort at Fontwell recently, and he is selected to go one better here. Cabernet d’Alene seems sure to go well again, while Barrys Jack is interesting switching back to timber if none the worse for his fall last month.

Point winner who landed first 4 starts under Rules in 2015/16. Proved he retains ability when runner-up in a handicap hurdle on belated return but fell 5 out on chase debut. Worth another chance.

Verdict

LE ROCHER is unbeaten in his two starts over fences and this looks an ideal opportunity to rack up a quick fire hat-trick. Tomngerry is a danger in receipt of 7lb from the selection, however, he hardly convinced with his jumping on his fences bow and will have to be foot perfect here. Three Musketeers has been highly thought of over the years by connections and the course and distance winner is a worthy addition to the shortlist trying the larger obstacles once again.

Verdict

TOMNGERRY receives plenty of weight and that may prove decisive taking on 3 rivals who all have questions to answer for one reason or another, Le Rocher perhaps the pick of them.

Network filly. Half-sister to 5 winners, including useful hurdler Urbain de Sivola. Built on debut promise when landing a "junior" bumper at Newbury and she'll stay this far.

Verdict

KIMBERLEY POINT was touched off by under a length over 2m on debut at Warwick and is entitled to take a forward step second time out. Fergal O'Brien enjoys plenty of success in bumpers and his Belle Amis, who made a winning debut at Wetherby in November, could be the one to put up most resistance. Derriana Spirit is improving between runs and also merits shortlist inclusion, likewise 1m4f Newbury winner Aimee De Sivola and Early Learner, who struck between the flags last year.

Verdict

AIMEE DE SIVOLA certainly wasn't stopping at the line when landing a 3-y-o bumper at Newbury a month ago, so she should relish 2m and in receipt of a handy age allowance, she could be the one. Harrisons Promise, Belle Amis and Kimberley Point are just a trio of potential threats.

Fair third over fences for current yard at Sedgefield in May but has disappointed both starts since (reportedly bled when pulled up last time).

Verdict

ISKABEG LANE's recent win and placed efforts over this C&D read well and, with stable jockey Danny Cook back aboard (won on the gelding two starts ago), he looks sure to be in the thick of things again. Midnight Monty and Kincora Fort both struck the crossbar last time out and appear to obvious dangers, while Sue Smith's supposed second string Dartford Warbler could go well off a light weight.

Verdict

ISKABEG LANE has made a solid to his chase career here in recent weeks and might be up to notching another win. Kincora Fort was a good second on his chase debut on Boxing Day and could build on that, while Midnight Monty would be a threat to all if primed on his return for new trainer Jamie Snowden.
