Verdict

The Hannon team have an excellent record in this race and OUZO is fancied to enhance it under Ryan Moore. The son of Charm Spirit holds an entry in the Two Year Old Trophy at Redcar next month, and rates the pick of his duo ahead of We Like Her A Lot, who might need further than this judging by her pedigree. True Hero ran a fine race on debut at Windsor when second, while Heroic and Tanqeeb are others to note.

Verdict

TRUE HERO looked the winner for most of the way when runner-up on debut at Windsor and can put that experience to good use. Heroic fared best of the newcomers at Ascot 2 weeks ago, while Ouzo makes most appeal of the newcomers.

Verdict

William Haggas has won a division of this contest in each of the last two seasons and APLOMB looks an interesting contender on debut. A 125,000gns yearling, the son of Lope De Vega is related to plenty of sprinting winners and should know his job. Mawsool was third behind a couple of smart types at Newmarket and will improve, while Stallone cost 100,000 pounds as a yearling and represents a trainer earning a good reputation with his juvenile runners.

Verdict

MAWSOOL shaped with plenty of promise when third behind a couple of nice prospects on debut at Newmarket last month and is sure to progress and win races. Aplomb and Dragon Sun make most appeal of the newcomers.

Steadily progressive earlier this term, getting off the mark at Salisbury (12f) in June. Found competition at Goodwood more demanding since but suspicion we haven't seen the very best of him yet.

Verdict

GENETICS didn't get home over 2m at York and should be better suited by this test back under Oisin Murphy. The four-year-old is a past course winner and can resume his previous progression for the in-form Andrew Balding. Infrastructure beat the progressive Mekong at Salisbury in June and looked unlucky at Glorious Goodwood last time out, while Pacify and Platitude usually go well at this sort of level and are also noted.

Verdict

COMMUNIQUE looked one to keep on side when landing valuable handicaps at Newmarket/Goodwood earlier this term and, having essentially run with credit since (latest effort easily overlooked) he is fancied to go well making a belated return to 1½m. Pacify and Alternative Fact can emerge as the chief threats.

Verdict

DIRTY RASCAL took his time to get off the mark, but did so at Windsor before following up with a fine effort in the big sales race at Doncaster last week. Connections have moved quickly as he would carry 11lb more in future handicaps, and this looks a perfect opportunity for this consistent individual. Lonely Boy showed good form when running Sky Defender close under a penalty at Musselburgh, while Majestic Mac won nicely at Epsom on his nursery debut and is respected despite a 10lb rise.

Verdict

DIRTY RASCAL, a winner at Windsor 18 days ago, surpassed the form shown that day when runner-up in a valuable sales race at Doncaster last week and he can continue the good work tackling nurseries for the first time. Sufficient and Lonely Boy can both also feature.

Verdict

BEAT LE BON showed very good promise on his debut here when only finding Momkin too strong, with the pair pulling clear of the remainder. The form hasn't exactly worked out since, but the extra furlong is guaranteed to suit and he has had some decent entries in recent weeks. Palavecino links closely with the selection having beaten Momkin, who was conceding him 7lb, at Ffos Las last month and is capable of improvement. Any market support for newcomer Raakib Alhawa should be noted, with his sire Kingman having an excellent start to his stallion career.

Verdict

There was a lot to like about the debut run of BEAT LE BON over 7f here in the summer and he can strike under Ryan Moore. Nayef Road promises to relish this trip and could be the one to give him most to do ahead of Ed Walker's Irish recruit Duckett's Grove.

Verdict

MJJACK returned from a break with a dominant effort at Haydock, beating Salateen by four and a half lengths. That was a career-best effort from a progressive type, and Karl Burke's colt looks capable of moving back up in grade. Red Mist has been a consistent performer for Simon Crisford and was given a confidence booster in a conditions event at Ripon, while Mankib is respected back on turf after finishing down the field at Chelmsford.

Verdict

MJJACK created a very good impression on his recent return from a break at Haydock and can add to a very productive recent spell for his stable. Mankib wasn't seen to best effect in a big-field handicap at Chelmsford recently and may prove next best ahead of Red Mist, who was placed twice in listed company in France in the summer.

Verdict

ICE GALA hails from a family full of Listed winners and has run with credit in both outings so far, including when only beaten a head by Layaleena at Newmarket last time, a contest from which four subsequent winners have emerged. Posted found life too tough in Group Three company at Goodwood but has to be respected at this level with a hood now applied. Roxy Art is well worth another try at seven furlongs, and Fashion's Star is potentially best of the newcomers on show.

Verdict

POSTED wasn’t seen to best effect in a muddling race at Goodwood last time, and she’s well worth another chance given her earlier promise. Ice Gala is a big danger, though strong market support for newcomer Fashion's Star would look significant.
