Glimmers of ability in couple of spins over 7f on the AW but not enough to suggest she'll be up to winning this.

Verdict

FIRELIGHT built on her debut fourth at Sandown when scoring second time out over this trip at Kempton. Andrew Balding's filly held on well to prevail by a nose latest and sets the form bar for the rest to aim for. Assembly Of Truth drops back in trip after finishing fifth over 7f here last time and could take close order, while any money for newcomers Ice Gala and King's Girl would be worth heeding.

Verdict

FIRELIGHT still looked far from the finished article when opening her account at Kempton, and group-race entries suggest that she's thought capable of a good deal better. As such, the Oasis Dream filly may well prove good enough to defy a penalty. Assembly of Truth disappointed last time but it's far too soon to write her off, while likely-looking newcomers Ice Gala and King's Girl merit respect.

Verdict

CAPLA GILDA was putting in her best work in the closing stages when scoring over 6f at Ffos Las on her first start for Archie Watson last time and promises to be suited by this additional furlong as she bids to notch a double. Sharp And Sharper steps up from 6f and is fitted with first-time blinkers, which may be a source of immediate improvement. Be Proud is fairly treated on these terms and could similarly take a hand.

Verdict

CAPLA GILDA hasn't been with Archie Watson long and got off the mark at the first time of asking for her new handler at Ffos Las last week. There could be more to come yet. Fast Endeavour and Be Proud are others to consider.

Verdict

In a field full of newcomers, the market is likely to prove the best guide here. KICK ON changed hands for 135,000gns and is expected to show up well for John Gosden, while Godolphin representative Madkhal should similarly know his job first time out and be thereabouts. El Picador (next year's Derby) and Albert Finney (Champagne Stakes) both hold high profile entries and are others worthy of consideration.

Verdict

The market will prove the best guide here, but BYE BYE HONG KONG was an expensive purchase earlier this year and is bred for this sort of test. He gets the vote. John Gosden holds a strong hand with 3 runners, and his Kick On and Albert Finney particularly catch the eye.

Verdict

The form of LOVE TO BREEZE's handicap debut second at Goodwood looks rock solid, with the winner following up and being narrowly beaten in Group 2 company since, and Ed Vaughan's filly can go one better off this 4lb higher mark. Majrooh was touched off at Pontefract when last sighted and makes plenty of appeal returning to the scene of his latest victory, while Trulee Scrumptious is difficult to dismiss having won six times on the July course in the past.

Verdict

LOVE TO BREEZE pulled well clear of the rest when second to a highly progressive filly at Goodwood and, in light of the winner's subsequent exploits, a 4 lb rise for that looks very fair indeed. This intermediate trip should be ideal and she is taken to go one better this time. Majrooh is next best ahead of My Boy Sepoy and course specialist Trulee Scrumptious.

Verdict

Nkosikazi will arrive full of confidence following her Redcar romp but this is tougher, while turf debutant Fountain Of Time must enter calculations having been narrowly denied the hat-trick at Chelmsford. However, RED STARLIGHT signed off her juvenile campaign with a win and she hasn't done a great deal wrong in three starts since returning, finishing third either side of a comfortable C&D success. That track form will stand her in good stead and she rates the one to beat.

Verdict

It's hard to resist the allure of the unexposed Godolphin filly FOUNTAIN OF TIME, who lost little caste in defeat when surrendering her unbeaten status at Chelmsford last time. She should have more to offer now switched to turf. With Hunni and Marilyn both engaged at Yarmouth on Thursday, Daddies Girl and Morning Has Broken can fill the places.

Made winning return at Ascot over this trip in May. However, well below that level both starts since and has something to prove at present.

Verdict

SUMMERGHAND built on his Nottingham success at this level when placed in a soft-ground class 2 handicap at York and, backed down in grade on a preferred faster surface, he could prove difficult to beat. Wentworth Falls was just a short head behind the selection in that Nottingham event and warrants plenty of respect reopposing on 1lb better terms, while Moonraker also merits consideration.

Verdict

WENTWORTH FALLS went like the best horse at the weights when runner-up in a falsely-run race at Nottingham last time and is still on a handy mark. He is fancied to land the finale. Summerghand just prevailed in that contest and has run well since. He rates the principal danger.
