Foaled January 15. €95,000 yearling, Camelot filly. Dam 6f winner.

Verdict

John Gosden has landed this prize three times in the last seven years and Nawassi is out of a Queen Mary winner, so any market support for her has to be taken seriously. Roger Varian introduces a couple of potentially nice types in the shape of Altyn Orda and Gilded Heaven, with the latter of particular interest. This can go the way of PEACE TRAIL, who represents the same connections who landed this prize last year with French Group 1 winner, Wuheida. Admired could be another name to note, but we might not see the best of her until next year for Sir Michael Stoute.

Verdict

Charlie Appleby won this last season with subsequent Group-1 winner Wuheida so expensive purchase PEACE TRAIL is a must for the shortlist. Nawassi and Admired are other likely types before market clues.

Shaped quite well on the second of her 3 qualifying runs in a C&D maiden last month. Should have more to offer in handicaps but already looks in need of 1m.

Verdict

The form of the win of Mutanaaseq at Doncaster received a major boost when his victim, Bengali Boys, went on to land the Weatherbys Super Sprint. He may well maintain his unbeaten record but GOLD TOWN ran well here last time in a highly competitive nursery and had previously not been disgraced in Listed grade. He is well worth another chance here. Dragons Tail is proving a solid juvenile for the Tom Dascombe team and should run his race again, while Fleeting Freedom cannot be ignored on the back of a steadily progressive profile.

Verdict

GOLD TOWN produced his best effort yet when a keeping-on third in a stronger C&D nursery than this one last month, so looks the one to be with from the same mark. Mutanaaseq is unbeaten in a brace of 5f minor events and has to be feared back from a break.

Progressive this year, following back-to-back victories with a fine effort in defeat over C&D last month. Can give another good account.

Verdict

Anythingtoday will no doubt be popular on the back of his recent two successes and comes into this carrying a 6lb penalty from his win at Bath on Wednesday. However, this will require a career best effort and several of these are worth another chance including EDDYSTONE ROCK and Speed Company who both met at Goodwood last time. Preference of the pair is for the former as he arrived off the back of an eye-catching effort in the John Smith's Cup at York when finishing sixth and a return to a more conventional track will benefit. Dolphin Vista and Thundering Blue also warrant consideration.

Verdict

ANYTHINGTODAY has taken his form to a new level in cheekpieces and there's no reason to desert him in his hat-trick attempt. Eddystone Rock has performed with credit in some high-end handicaps this summer and has to command respect, with Atkinson Grimshaw another to consider.

Won 2 of her 3 starts, including listed race at Sandown last time. Excuses behind Dance Diva here in between and ground shouldn't be a problem.

Verdict

Dance Diva sets the standard despite losing her unbeaten record when runner-up in the Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot. She'd previously landed a hat-trick and now steps up to 7f for the first time. Jousi appeals as an improver and has place claims at a price but MAYYASAH created a good visual impression when making a winning debut at Newbury and the value of the form is starting to look good. She is narrowly preferred to Poetic Charm, also a winner of her sole outing in useful maiden company and representing a yard that do well with their juveniles here.

Verdict

CAPLA TEMPTRESS showed useful form when defying a penalty in impressive fashion on soft ground over C&D 3 weeks ago so earns the vote in a race where handling conditions could be key. Richard Hannon won this last year and holds a strong hand again with Mayyasah and Tajaanus.

Consistent right throughout 2016 for William Muir and confirmed promise of return/yard debut when landing an 8-runner Leicester handicap (7f) last month. Not in same form at Sandown on Thursday.

Verdict

Khamaary returned to winning ways at Lingfield last time and is expected to remain competitive following a 6lb rise, while Yarmouth second Gulliver, who steps up from 6f, is also respected. Preferred ahead of all, however, is VON BLUCHER, who looks to be coming back to the boil for his new stable and remains fairly treated on his best efforts from last season. War Glory wouldn't be winning out of turn either after running well off 2lb higher at Goodwood again last time.

Verdict

KHAMAARY is a typical improving 3-y-o for her leading yard and found underfoot conditions holding no fears when taking her career tally to 3-5 at Lingfield recently. She remains of obvious interest and can defy a rise in the weights. Von Blucher is in good nick and feared, while Accession makes some appeal at likely longer odds returned to softer ground from an easing mark.

Brighton maiden winner who resumed winning ways in a C&D handicap last month, without looking entirely straightforward. Has to enter calculations in a tricky-looking contest.

Verdict

Tafaakhor is up 5lb for a recent shock win here and doesn't look certain to follow up, while doubts remain over Naval Warfare, who has struggled in two competitive big field handicaps of late. Night Circus has been gelded since his latest modest Thirsk run and that could spark a revival, though it will have to for him to get the better of PLUTONIAN. His opening handicap mark is lofty, but the manner of his win at Windsor last time is hard to forget and he could have the ability to make the step up.

Verdict

A leap of faith is required in supporting COLIBRI, yet the return to much softer ground is expected to be right up his street, and in a tricky contest he shades the vote to bounce back. Handicap debutant Plutonian and Tafaakhor are others to consider.

Took a 1½m Southwell handicap in April and progressed again on turf of late, plugging-on second over 14.5f at Chester last time. Promises to be well suited by the step up to 2m.

Verdict

Slunovrat was only beaten a length into second on his return at Sandown last month and the fourth has subsequently franked that form. He is entitled to improve and must enter calculations, along with Addicted To You who slammed Galway Hurdle sixth Project Bluebook prior to twisting a shoe at Ayr. Mark Hopkins, Look My Way and Grumeti are others to note but preference is for talented dual purpose performer ROLLING MAUL. He built on his Bath success when trouncing the opposition at Ffos Las and a further 6lb rise might not be enough to stop him completing the hat-trick.

Verdict

ADDICTED TO YOU reportedly twisted a shoe when pulled up at Ayr last time and is well worth another chance as he'd looked progressive when winning easily at Catterick prior to that. Fellow 3-y-o Look My Way is likely to relish the step up to 2m and may prove next best ahead of David Menuisier's Slunovrat.
