Remains with little form and easily passed over from 3 lb out of the weights.

Verdict

CAPTAIN GEORGE represents a handler with a 7-31 record here in the last five years and looks set to go well in this company back in the National Hunt sphere. He is fit after a decent spell on the Flat, which included a 20-1 success at Wolverhampton in February, and he should be suited by this drying ground under Nick Schofield off a fair mark. Iniesta represents the same yard but might be a bit too high in the handicap, while Goldslinger is another to note.

Verdict

It could be worth siding with GOLDSLINGER, who hasn't cut much ice since switched to hurdles but this 4-time Flat winner will scarcely find better opportunities than this. Iniesta is on a workable mark and is next best ahead of stablemate Captain George and Pension Madness.

Verdict

WITH DISCRETION was an easy winner at Towcester during a week when the eyes of the racing world were focused on the Cheltenham Festival, and Nicky Henderson's charge can continue her progress assuming she avoids the 'bounce' factor on just her second run in three years. Dinos Benefit should appreciate this return to better ground up in distance, while Drill Baby Drill showed promise when second at Haydock on debut last time and looks open to improvement.

Verdict

SENSULANO struggled in a competitive Grade 2 handicap at Newbury but she looked promising prior to that and is taken to resume winning ways back in calmer waters. The main danger is likely to be posed by With Discretion, who made a winning Rules debut at Towcester and should have more to offer for her top yard. Drill Baby Drill is most interesting of the remainder.

Verdict

Front-runner MARRACUDJA did it well in the Scottish Champion Chase at Musselburgh when last seen and has been found a nice opening by Paul Nicholls to win again. The seven-year-old course winner got on well with Bryony Frost on that occasion and her presence in the saddle could prove crucial once more. Some Buckle did win after a break last season and has the form to pose the selection a few problems, while Dusky Lark is another who could claim some minor money.

Verdict

VIBRATO VALTAT went close off this mark in a similar event at Doncaster in December and can end his losing run. Marracudja was strong in the betting when resuming winning ways at Musselburgh and is a big threat if seeing out this longer trip.

Verdict

Paul Nicholls has won six of the last seven renewals of this prize and SAO is fancied to get off the mark on British soil at the third time of asking. A half-brother to the talented Frodon, he failed to settle when fourth at Kempton last time so it is no surprise to see a tongue-tie added to his hood which has failed to work the last twice. This isn't a strong race, with Torrent Des Mottes and Rooster Cogburn the most likely dangers.

Verdict

SAO has arguably been a shade disappointing on both starts over here but it's still early days and he's worth another chance with a tongue tie now added for the first time. Torrent des Mottes showed plenty of ability in Ireland last spring and looks the obvious danger ahead of Wincanton runner-up Higgs.

Verdict

Veteran Cawdor House Bert is lightly raced for his age but does have a big weight to carry here, while it will be interesting to see if any money arrives for Arquebusier after his recent wind operation. Similar comments apply to Scenic Star, who makes his stable bow for Mark Shears after a 257-day absence. That being said, it will take a well-treated one to get the better of MATROW'S LADY, who has Noel Fehily back on board and should enjoy this drop in distance and better ground.

Verdict

MATROW'S LADY has been successful on the last 2 occasions she's dropped to this mark so it might be worth chancing her to bounce back to form. Cawdor House Bert arrives on the back of 2 good runs at Ffos Las and looks sure to get involved again, while it's hard to know quite how much Sparky's Spirit achieved last time but he starts out in handicaps from a modest mark.

Hasn't stood much racing but in reasonable form over hurdles earlier this term. Fell first over fences in February but operating from long way out the weights on this occasion.

Verdict

HERE'S HERBIE hinted his winning turn was fast approaching again when second over 2m3f at Taunton 11 days ago and is expected to step up on that performance, now rated 2lb lower, over this longer trip. Recent Wincanton runner-up Quiz Master has held his form well all season and should be thereabouts at the line, though a bigger danger to the selection may be recent Haydock third Champagne George, who drops back slightly in trip. Any money for returning C&D winner Kalmbeforethestorm would also be notable.

Verdict

CAP DU NORD has made a bright start switched to handicaps in recent months, scoring in determined style at Sandown in December. He's worth forgiving a lesser effort at Taunton latest (clearly not 100% on the day) and gets the nod to bounce back. Quiz Master arrives in form and is feared, along with Bold Image and Here's Herbie.

Verdict

VIRAK finished midfield in the Foxhunters at Cheltenham last month but is expected to get back on the winning trail now competing in calmer waters. Paul Nicholls' nine-year-old had previously rattled off back-to-back victories in similar events at Ludlow and Haydock and appears favourably weighted on these terms. Strumble Head struck over C&D last summer and is worth a market check on his first start since October. Recent Exeter runner-up O Maonlai could be the one to put up most resistance.

Verdict

An excellent opportunity for VIRAK to resume winning ways having found the Foxhunter at the Cheltenham Festival too much last month. O Maonlai is hard to predict but is more than capable of making a race of it.
