Fair winner on the level. Well held in 2 runs over hurdles at Fontwell in the last month and will make more appeal in handicaps.

Verdict

GIBSON PARK was far from disgraced when third in a higher grade at Sedgefield last time and may be able to step up on that effort now dropped in grade. Arthington struck in a novice hurdle at Stratford last time and is expected to mount another bold bid. Vancouver makes some appeal on his 2m victory at Uttoxeter in May and could also pick up some minor money this afternoon.

Verdict

GIBSON PARK ran well for a long way in a handicap at Sedgefield last time and could resume winning ways back in calmer waters here. Arthington won first time up over hurdles at Stratford and is feared most ahead of Sea Sovereign and Vancouver.

Verdict

LORD HUNTINGDON is expected to build on his recent Bangor victory and defy a 6lb rise to notch a double. Comanche Chieftain needs to step up on his latest effort at Stratford but makes some appeal on his penultimate effort at this track. The main danger to the selection, however, may be Free Stone Hill, who has been knocking on the door and has been eased 1lb since finishing third at Newton Abbot last time out.

Verdict

This sharp test will suit LORD HUNTINGDON down to the ground and there's no reason why he cannot shrug off a 6 lb rise for last month's Bangor win. Free Stone Hill has come up short when favourite on his last 4 outings but is certainly competitive, while Regulation lurks on a very dangerous mark.

Fair handicap hurdler who is getting to grips with chasing, placed in a couple of starts, although was just starting to struggle when falling at Southwell recently. Capable of making an impact.

Verdict

FORT GABRIEL needs to leave behind his last run over the extended 2m6f at Stratford in order to figure but may improve for this stiffer test considering his last victory, at Newton Abbot in July, came over this longer trip. Little Windmill is only 2lb higher than when scoring over track and trip in April and is considered the main danger ahead of Fair To Middling, who was in contention for a place when falling three out at Southwell latest.

Verdict

FORT GABRIEL has not gone with his usual zest recently, but his mark has eased a tad, and he is taken to overcome a sticky patch with another win. Fair To Middling seemed to be slowly getting to grips with chasing prior to his fall at Southwell, and should be able to make an impact, while Doitfojoe also enters the reckoning after a better run last time.

Fairly useful handicapper on Flat at up to 8.6f, sold from Richard Hughes 33,000 gns in July. Interesting hurdling debutant.

Verdict

Seamus Durack representative HIGH WELLS has been in good order on the Flat recently and is worth a market check on his hurdles bow. Lord E struck on debut at Fontwell and is respected for last year's winning stable. The pick of the remainder may be Jumping Jack, who has gained experience on the Flat for Richard Hughes and now debuts for a new yard on his NH bow.

Verdict

LORD E made a pleasing start over hurdles when scoring at Fontwell and can follow up under a penalty in a race his top yard have won 3 times in the last 7 seasons. High Wells and Jumping Jack are both Flat winners of interest on their first starts in this sphere.

Good spell of late, winning at Southwell in July and just as good when second at Newton Abbot last month. Likely to figure again.

Verdict

HOLLY BUSH HENRY was revitalised by the application of first-time blinkers when winning last week at Worcester and, providing the blinkers work the trick a second time, looks the one to beat. Bugsie Malone returns to hurdling and warrants consideration on his recent chasing form which has been decent, while Kentford Heiress may prove capable of further improvement.

Verdict

HOLLY BUSH HENRY was perked up no end by blinkers when back to form with a bang at Worcester last week and a penalty may not stop him if the headgear continues to have a positive effect. Byron Blue and Kentford Heiress arrive at the top of their game and could be the pair to give Phil Middleton's charge most to do.

Went backwards from a positive chasing debut for Kim Bailey last year and, although Stratford reappearance contained little promise, would be a surprise if new yard couldn't revive him before long.

Belatedly opened his account when beating Houseparty at Fontwell in August, but underlined inconsistency with a poor display over same C&D last time. Cheekpieces go back on now.

Verdict

RAMORE WILL has improved his form recently with a win in a handicap hurdle at Fontwell on his latest start and the six-year-old looks one to keep onside making his chasing debut with his trainer Chris Gordon having an excellent strike-rate at the track. The Tin Miner looks a potential improver making his chasing debut, while Flashman is a player on his recent second at Fontwell.

Verdict

THE TIN MINER's efforts over hurdles have barely scratched the surface of his ability and this lightly-raced, well-bred sort is very much the type to take off now switched to fences. He's preferred to fellow chasing debutant Ramore Will, with Vital Evidence regarded as the pick of those with experience over the larger obstacles.

Bits of promise in qualifying hurdle runs so rather disappointing she has failed to make an impact switched to handicaps. Handicapper is relenting at least back from a break.

On a long losing run and others preferred on this occasion.

Verdict

MAGICAL THOMAS is just 3lb higher than his last win over timber at Fontwell last month and he remains open to further improvement coming from the Neil Mulholland yard. Camakasi was last seen winning on the Flat when an impressive winner at Bath last month and is respected now returning to hurdles, while Kereman is one to consider on handicap debut.

Verdict

CAMAKASI didn't offer much over hurdles last year but he's potentially well treated in this sphere given his recent exploits on the Flat and could be worth chancing. Kereman is another to consider on handicap bow, along with last month's Fontwell winner Magical Thomas.
