Verdict

Antagonize made a winning debut at Newcastle late last month and another good run can be expected from him, although a 4lb penalty leaves him vulnerable. NATHLESS chased home two decent rivals when finishing third at Newmarket last time out and that form gives him a big chance. White Iverson and Wild Hope are others with good form to their names, while Kingson and Off Piste are newcomers who need to be monitored in the market.

Verdict

ANTAGONIZE made a winning start at Newcastle despite being badly in need of the experience so there should be plenty more to come. Nathless contested a decent race at Newmarket last time and is respected for Hugo Palmer, while White Iverson is open to progress now tackling 7f. Money for either of the Richard Fahey newcomers would also bring them into it.

Verdict

KILBAHA LADY has made the frame in both starts since her victory at Nottingham last month and those performances prove that she can win off her current mark. Plansina earned her first turf victory at Hamilton last week and a 5lb rise in the ratings appears to be fair. Special Mission has not shown much in novice company but, given her connections, it would be no surprise to see her improve significantly now switched to handicapping.

Verdict

PLANSINA ran out a ready winner at Hamilton 8 days ago and, with her yard thriving at present, there's reason to think she can defy a 5 lb rise in her current mood provided the unexposed Special Mission, who is bred to be much better than she's shown to date, doesn't make a marked step forward on handicap debut. Kiwi Bay loves it here and shouldn't be ruled out despite his advancing years.

Good third of 11 in handicap (33/1) at Carlisle (9f, good) 45 days ago.

Verdict

TRAVELTALK has only been narrowly denied in his last two starts but this moderate contest is an ideal opportunity for the four-year-old to earn some valuable compensation for his supporters. Diamond Runner's last effort was more encouraging and he could make the frame, while Majestic Stone is another to note in a wide-open event.

Verdict

TRAVELTALK continues in good form and can gain a deserved win off his reduced mark back at the scene of his last success. Grey Spirit could be a big improver in handicaps this year for his in-form yard and his plethora of entries in the coming week look ominous. Diamond Runner also has a shout.

Verdict

Nigel Tinkler's course and distance WHINMOOR has risen 19lb in the handicap since winning at Carlisle in June and is now fancied to land a hat-trick and confirm form with Paparazzi, who was three lengths adrift last time. Despite being better off at the ratings this time around, the latter has developed a rather unhelpful knack of just falling short. The lightly-raced Cuddington cost plenty as a yearling and is a potential improver back on turf, while Kylie Rules is respected off the same mark as when second at Hamilton two starts ago.

Verdict

WHINMOOR is going from strength to strength and will take plenty of beating in his pursuit of the hat-trick. The biggest threat may come from Paparazzi who shaped as if still in good form at Carlisle last month.

Verdict

An eye-shield is now tried on JACBEQUICK, who showed improvement when third at Beverley earlier in the week, and there could be more to come off the same mark now up in trip. Chant was a winner on the all-weather when last seen, but that was almost a year ago and this is a tough task first time up, while Cricklewood Green is slipping down the handicap and is respected despite his form over this trip not being the most encouraging.

Verdict

JACBEQUICK ran his best race for a while when third at Beverley on Tuesday and has been found a good opportunity to end his losing run. Chant is the obvious threat if ready to go after 11 months off, with God Willing best of the rest.

C&D winner. 9/2, respectable fifth of 13 in handicap at Newcastle (6f) when last seen in November. Much depends on whether he's primed after a lay-off.

Verdict

GIANT'S TREASURE could be coming to the boil on his third start of the season and is entitled to build on his 7f novice third at Wolverhampton now dropped back in trip on his handicap bow. Thirsk specialist The Armed Man gets on well with his apprentice rider and has place claims. Orion's Bow has dropped to a workable mark, Red Pike is sporting a new headgear combination, while Powerallied would be of interest if turned out after his third at Pontefract on Friday.

Verdict

ORION'S BOW has been expensive to follow this term but he didn't fare too badly at Thirsk last time and might be worth one final chance with a tongue tie back on. The Armed Man and Red Pike were both narrowly in front of the selection last time and are likely to figure again.

Promising sort. 1 win from 2 runs this year. Won 5-runner minor event at Yarmouth (8f, good to firm, 11/4) 11 days ago, readily. Makes handicap debut. Should improve further.

Verdict

MISS SHERIDAN struck off 5lb lower at Haydock last time but remains on a workable mark considering she won off 5lb higher at Carlisle last summer. Rhigolter Rose has shown ability in maiden and novice company and could feasibly take a hand now handicapping, while Nkosikasi was deemed good enough to contest the Coronation Stakes at Ascot so it's doubtful we have seen the best of her on a racecourse just yet.

Verdict

RHIGOLTER ROSE was seen to good effect given how things panned out at Yarmouth 11 days ago, but she was impressive in her own right, and can do better still now handicapping. Fondest is fancied to provide the chief threat.

C&D winner. 25/1, third of 5 in handicap at Thirsk (16.1f, good) 5 days ago. Something to find on form.

Verdict

Luv U Whatever is 7lb higher than when scoring over 1m5f at Ayr in May and may be vulnerable to DEW POND, a C&D winner who has dropped 7lb lower than his last winning rating and was far from disgraced when beaten by under four lengths at Ayr last time out. Sellingallthetime usually runs his race and should go close as, for all he holds few secret from the assessor, he's entitled to improve now fitted with a first-time visor.

Verdict

JAN DE HEEM caught the eye in a stronger race at York last month and this C&D winner can bounce back to his best with success. Midnight Warrior is seeking a third straight win in this handicap and is weighted to strike again.
