Scoop6 Saturday 3rd March 2012

The tote scoop6 is a fantastic pool bet which gives you the chance to win a fortune for a £2 stake.

The challenge is to select all 6 winners from 6 races during Saturday meetings.

If you meet this challenge you will win a share of the scoop6 win fund, which is frequently worth over £1 million, and you will also get the chance to play for the scoop6 bonus fund by picking the winner of a race the following Saturday.

Even if you fail to select all six winners you can win a share of the scoop6 place fund if your selections place in each of the 6 races. Even this lower prize has paid out over £1000 per winner 11 times in the last 12 months. All this for a £2 stake!

Broke hurdling duck in 2½m contest at Uttoxeter in May 2010, but off more than a year with heat in a leg. Best effort this winter back on better ground last time and is on a tempting mark.

Verdict

Tarvini continues to progress through the weights at an eye-catching rate and it was very tough not to be impressed with his 23-length win at Doncaster in November but GODSMEJUDGE gets the vote. Alan King's charge bumped into the well-handicapped Bellflower Boy at Warwick on his debut in the handicap sphere and is worth another look off the same mark with improvement to come. Buck Magic is interesting at the forecast prices.

Verdict

Super Villan hasn't been with this yard all that long and he has more to come, especially back over this longer trip. He can get the better of Buck Magic and Lamboro Lad in a competitive contest.

Bumper winner but a maiden over hurdles, leaving Joanna Morgan for €12,000 after a poor run in cheekpieces in the autumn. Up against it from out of the weights but has joined a successful stable.

Verdict

While slight question marks remains over Sir Harry Ormesher's ability to see out 3m, Alan King's yard couldn't be in better form and his spin behind the World Hurdle-bound Oscar Whiskey in a "jumpers' bumper" at Kempton last month will have done him the world of good. Preference, however, is for CORKAGE, who has gone up 3lb for a gallant effort over the C&D last month. He appeared to thrive when stepped up in trip that day and Keith Reveley's charge remains weighted to win races, despite a 3lb rise. Catterick winner Allow Me is another interesting contender.

Verdict

Corkage shaped best when collared close home over C&D 10 days ago, and looks a good bet to go one better in a weaker contest. Kangaroo Court and Sir Harry Ormesher are 2 well-treated rivals who arrive here fit from a spin in AW bumpers.

Won twice early in 2010 for Nicky Henderson. Not at best for this yard of late and although he showed more in cheekpieces at Doncaster last time, others preferred from 3 lb out of handicap.

Verdict

Aintree clues aplenty in this year's renewal of the veterans' handicap chase and, while having won just twice in his career, NICHE MARKET looks the class act and was back to near his best when second to West End Rocker in the Becher Chase at the Liverpool track last time out in December. The handicapper appears to have given him a chance now returning off a 4lb lower mark and this looks a winnable race. Fair Along boasts solid course form an is feared most, while Blazing Bailey could run into a place if bouncing back to form. Ouzbeck is another of note.

Verdict

A good contest looks on the cards for this veterans' chase, but the one that makes most appeal is Niche Market, who can take this en route to another crack at the Grand National. The Hobbs pair Fair Along and Marufo look best of the remainder.

Improved this term, following win here (17f) with good second at Cheltenham in December. Not in same form last few starts, however, and opposable up in trip from 3 lb out of weights.

Verdict

Paul Nicholls has saddled four of this last six winners of this race and appears to have another cracking chance with AERIAL. Either side of an effortless Ascot success, he ran good races in Grade 3 handicaps at Cheltenham and a 3lb drop in the ratings following his fourth behind The Giant Bolster last time gives him a solid opportunity to get back on the winning trail. Mad Max, a Grade 2 winning bumper/chaser when trained by Nicky Henderson, travelled with real zest before failing to get home on his debut for the Neil Mullholland stable at Haydock in January and could mount a bold bid if fitter for that first start since April last year. Rileyev rates a lively outsider at a track where he won in November. The other Ditcheat runners, Pasco and Woolcombe Folly, aren't completely out if it and Araldur is respected from the in-form Alan King yard.

Verdict

An open contest in which it might be worth chancing last year's winner Fine Parchment, who has slipped back to a decent mark. Pasco tends to save his best for this track and needs respecting, with consistent stablemate Aerial another to consider.

Hurdles winner in Australia and off mark over fences at Huntingdon in January. Respectable third in novice at Leicester on Tuesday, but this considerably tougher from 7 lb out of weights.

Verdict

John Wade landed this pot as a trainer last year with Always Right and bids to follow up as an owner with the Keith Reveley-trained Benny Be Good. He may just struggle at the top of the weights, though, and with that in mind Junior and NEPTUNE EQUESTER are preferred. The former, who won the Kim Muir in great style last year, is as short as 12-1 for the Grand National next month, but the selection gets in under a low weight for this event and looks to have conditions in his favour. Brian Ellison's gelding won at Haydock over 3m4f earlier this term and may have since found the deep winter ground against him. Also keep an eye on the Aintree-bound West End Rocker, who was back to his best at the Liverpool track in the Becher Chase when last sighted in December.

Verdict

Junior and West End Rocker can both complete their National preparations by running well, but Benny Be Good gets the vote to return to winning ways back over fences.

Verdict

BALGARRY is entered in the Coral Cup at the Cheltenham Festival later this month and David Pipe's French recruit is taken to open his account over hurdles on his debut in Britain off what looks a lenient mark. He is expected to have been readied at home and is clearly showing signs of promise having prompted such an entry. Sire Collonges can also make the frame if ready to roll, while Ebanour arrives in good spirits and must also enter calculations.

Verdict

Sire Collonges is well handicapped on his placed effort here 12 months ago, and won't lack for fitness given connections, but Balgarry is the interesting one here on debut for David Pipe, especially if strong in the betting. Dubai Crest completes the shortlist.
