Scoop6 Friday 10th August 2018

The tote scoop6 is a fantastic pool bet which gives you the chance to win a fortune for a £2 stake.

The challenge is to select all 6 winners from 6 races during Saturday meetings.

If you meet this challenge you will win a share of the scoop6 win fund, which is frequently worth over £1 million, and you will also get the chance to play for the scoop6 bonus fund by picking the winner of a race the following Saturday.

Even if you fail to select all six winners you can win a share of the scoop6 place fund if your selections place in each of the 6 races. Even this lower prize has paid out over £1000 per winner 11 times in the last 12 months. All this for a £2 stake!

Verdict

CHRISTMAS took three attempts to get off the mark and did so at prohibitive odds at Roscommon last month. The son of Galileo looks the type capable of further progression and can handle the step up in class. Highland Fortune was fourth behind Van Beethoven in the Railway Stakes and can benefit from the step back up to 7f, while Chicago May won in good style on debut at Naas and warrants a go at this level.

Verdict

CHICAGO MAY is from a yard more renowned for its jumpers but is bred to make a 2-y-o and belied her starting price to make a winning start at Naas, running to a high level for a debutante, and shades the vote over Highland Fortune and Christmas.

Verdict

ROYAL ADMIRAL has shown some promise on his three outings in maiden company and is the least exposed member of the field with likely improvement to come on his handicap debut. Path Of Silver has shown good form recently and is respected on those performances, while others that merit consideration include Time Stands Still and Bouquet Garni, who have both been running consistently well of late.

Verdict

TIME STANDS STILL went close over C&D last time and might be capable of going one better if turning up in similar form. Emperor Bob reacted positively to blinkers when resuming winning ways at Killarney last time and is much respected despite an 11 lb rise, while Count of Carabass had a slow start as an excuse last time and had been in very good form prior to that.

C&D winner. Latest win here in January. Blinkered for first time, sixth of 8 in handicap at Ayr (5f, good to firm, 7/2) 53 days ago. Must improve.

Verdict

A very competitive contest that can go to the well handicapped BOOM THE GROOM, who bounced back to form when finishing third at Goodwood last week. The seven-year-old has a very good record on the all-weather and there is every chance that he can gain a deserved victory this evening. Island Of Life has been running well all year and she should be in the mix once again, while Bosham and Captain Lars also make the shortlist.

Verdict

ONLY SPOOFING takes on a handful of C&D specialists, notably Bosham and Verne Castle, but the return to 5f is bound to suit and he is selected to make the most of a good draw. Island of Life has been expensive to follow of late but she could be the chief threat.

Successful in 6f nursery here at 2 yrs and has improved since upped to this trip, hitting the crossbar at Ascot in July. Only fair effort at Yarmouth on Thursday.

Verdict

Nkosikazi will arrive full of confidence following her Redcar romp but this is tougher, while turf debutant Fountain Of Time must enter calculations having been narrowly denied the hat-trick at Chelmsford. However, RED STARLIGHT signed off her juvenile campaign with a win and she hasn't done a great deal wrong in three starts since returning, finishing third either side of a comfortable C&D success. That track form will stand her in good stead and she rates the one to beat.

Verdict

It's hard to resist the allure of the unexposed Godolphin filly FOUNTAIN OF TIME, who lost little caste in defeat when surrendering her unbeaten status at Chelmsford last time. She should have more to offer now switched to turf. With Hunni and Marilyn both engaged at Yarmouth on Thursday, Daddies Girl and Morning Has Broken can fill the places.

Verdict

Purple Rock would have a big chance of winning this race based on his run here last week but he was also due to run at Haydock yesterday. If he were to skip this engagement then the nod would go to COVERHAM, who has already won three times this year. He met with trouble in running last time out and is only 2lb above his last winning mark. Buckland Beau and Pass The Cristal both warrant each-way consideration.

Verdict

PASS THE CRISTAL is back on his last winning mark, and the way he kept on over 7f last time suggests this return to 1m is the correct move. Purple Rock will be a big danger, and so too will King of Dreams.

Verdict

UNIVERSAL FOCUS was touched off by a head over this trip at Dundalk last time and, also fully effective on turf, he wouldn't need to find much improvement in order to go one better off this 1lb higher mark. Galtymore had a recent spin over hurdles and makes some appeal on his preceding Killarney third off this mark over 1m3f, while Crafted Jewel is entitled to step up on her Curragh fourth last time now eased in grade.

Verdict

MIRO was a little underwhelming last time but prior to that, he'd shaped as if ready to capitalise on a reduced mark on his reappearance and, with one of the more experienced riders in the plate, he's worth chancing to build on that encouragement at the second attempt. Universal Focus and Galtymore look the principal dangers.
