Scoop6 Wednesday 14th March 2018

The tote scoop6 is a fantastic pool bet which gives you the chance to win a fortune for a £2 stake.

The challenge is to select all 6 winners from 6 races during Saturday meetings.

If you meet this challenge you will win a share of the scoop6 win fund, which is frequently worth over £1 million, and you will also get the chance to play for the scoop6 bonus fund by picking the winner of a race the following Saturday.

Even if you fail to select all six winners you can win a share of the scoop6 place fund if your selections place in each of the 6 races. Even this lower prize has paid out over £1000 per winner 11 times in the last 12 months. All this for a £2 stake!

Won the Pertemps Final last term and had a fine season again this time, winning twice over fences and Grade 2 hurdle. Found only Our Duke too good in Red Mills chase latest and he's a leading player.

Verdict

The two to focus upon are MONALEE and Presenting Percy because their form is stronger than the rest. Henry de Bromhead's gelding just gets the nod following his win in what appeared to be a strong renewal of the Grade 1 Flogas Novice Chase at Leopardstown last month. The son of Milan made all that day and he did appear to have more in hand than the final winning distance suggests. Presenting Percy won the Pertemps Final here last year and he has arguably improved for going over fences. That said, he did have a hard enough race behind Our Duke in the Red Mills just 25 days ago. Dounikos may lack the class of the previous pair but the conditions should suit and the step up to 3m is also a positive. Al Boum Photo is another with valid each-way claims.

Verdict

The Irish have a very strong hand here with both PRESENTING PERCY and Monalee arriving on the back of career-best efforts in deep races. The former's length second to Gold Cup hopeful Our Duke edging him the vote. Al Boum Photo and Ballyoptic are also considered.

In fine form when second in C&D handicap last autumn but disappointed sole start since and faces a stiff task in this company.

Verdict

Nicky Henderson has landed this prize twice in the last eight years with Spirit River and Whisper and the latter's colours are on show again here with market protagonist William Henry, who wears first-time cheekpieces and has course-winning form, but may not necessarily enjoy conditions. The leading-most trainer in terms of Cheltenham winners also runs Burbank, who was fourth in the Ballymore here last year, and Stowaway Magic, but the eye is drawn to FIXE LE KAP. Beaten at odds-on on his chasing debut before switching to hurdles last time for a quick spin, the six-year-old remains unexposed in this sphere and is a three-time winner with the word 'soft' appearing in the going description. Topofthegame won a hot Sandown handicap last time while Le Breuil has long been held in high regard by Ben Pauling and looks well handicapped.

Verdict

In a typically-competitive renewal, it could be worth chancing VOIX DU REVE, who looked very likely to land the Fred Winter here 2 years ago (travelling best when fell last) and may have bounced after an encouraging return in December. William Henry is feared most after his Lanzarote victory last time, whilst Mount Mews, Topofthegame and Max Dynamite are also much respected.

Verdict

Altior returned from a wind problem to readily see off two opponents, including the reopposing Politologue, at Newbury last month and he will be fancied by many to maintain his unbeaten record over fences. However, it was announced on Monday that Nicky Henderson's charge was lame and some puss had been located in the frog of his foot, so with his participation hanging in the balance, the vote goes to DOUVAN. The eight-year-old has also had his well-publicised problems, not featuring since injuring himself in last year's renewal of this event, but recent vibes from the Mullins camp have been positive and it speaks volumes that Ruby Walsh has chosen to ride him over stablemate Min. The last-named runner arrives having had a much better preparation, bolting up in Grade 2 company at the Dublin Racing Festival last time, and he seems sure to run a big race, while Politologue and last season's winner Special Tiara may interest those looking to play each-way.

Verdict

ALTIOR looked as good as ever when returning from wind surgery to beat Politologue in the Game Spirit and can extend his unbeaten chase record to 8. Douvan would be more than capable of mixing it with Nicky Henderson's charge at his best but he hasn't been seen since a tame run in this race last year and a bigger threat may emerge from stablemate Min, even though Ruby Walsh sides with the former.
