Scoop6 Saturday 16th September 2017

The tote scoop6 is a fantastic pool bet which gives you the chance to win a fortune for a £2 stake.

The challenge is to select all 6 winners from 6 races during Saturday meetings.

If you meet this challenge you will win a share of the scoop6 win fund, which is frequently worth over £1 million, and you will also get the chance to play for the scoop6 bonus fund by picking the winner of a race the following Saturday.

Even if you fail to select all six winners you can win a share of the scoop6 place fund if your selections place in each of the 6 races. Even this lower prize has paid out over £1000 per winner 11 times in the last 12 months. All this for a £2 stake!

Ended a lengthy losing run when making all over 5f at Leicester from this mark in May. Hasn't threatened to match that form since.

Verdict

NOAH AMOR has plenty in his favour today given how fast he is out of the gate and, if everything goes to plan at the start, he will be very hard to pass this afternoon. Desert Ace is another who likes to go forward but he may be forced wide by the selection unless he can pull in behind. Landing Night should run well but may struggle to confirm his win over the selection last time out, while Ballesteros is another to note.

Verdict

This is wide open, but SHOW PALACE has been freshened up by a short break, and from stall 2, it's easy to envisage him bouncing back, and if that is the case, his mark remains a workable one. Landing Light should make a bold follow-up bid, while Captain Lars will be finishing off to good effect.

Made all at Windsor in May and back to winning ways in mud at Haydock in a first-time tongue tie (retained) last week. Did that pretty comfortably but jumps from a Class 4 to 2 here.

Verdict

A typically competitive renewal and last year's winner Captain Colby will be popular off a 3lb lower mark. Merlin doesn't know how to run badly and should be thereabouts at the business end, likewise stable companions Lancelot Du Lac and Stake Acclaim, with the former having won the Stewards' Cup two starts ago under today's rider Frankie Dettori. Preference, though, is for COMPAS SCOOBIE, who can get the day off to the best possible start for the connections of St Leger hopeful Defoe. Roger Varian's inmate has improved no end this year, winning three times on turf and all-weather, and the handicapper may not have his measure yet judged on his latest Epsom run off the same mark.

Verdict

STAKE ACCLAIM has largely gone from strength to strength this year and he's got to go close here if that trend for pulling out a bit more continues. Lexington Abbey wasn't far behind the selection at Ascot on his latest start and is much respected under Moore, while Vibrant Chords is another to consider after a fine run here last time. Last year's third Harry Hurricane also makes the shortlist.

Verdict

The highly thought of Simmy's Copshop looks to get his career back on track here and is one to consider along with Angel Force, who has chased home some likeable performers on his last few starts. Porchy Party has to be on the shortlist considering his connections' record at this venue combined with a favourable draw, however, the tentative vote goes in the direction of VISCOUNT LOFTUS, who is backed to follow up his Pontefract victory with Chester specialist Franny Norton in the saddle.

Verdict

Having won on debut, SIMMY'S COPSHOP has performed with credit in various company, and on the pick of his form, his opening mark looks generous. Viscount Loftus is well draw to attack and is an obvious threat, with Harrogate another to consider.

Verdict

Breton Rock bids to follow up his success in the race 12 months ago but, unlike last year, he has a 3lb penalty to overcome due to his win in the Lennox Stakes at Goodwood and this looks a stronger renewal. Home Of The Brave was just denied on that occasion and would ideally want the ground to dry out for him to perform at his best, but the sixth that day, ACLAIM, gets the vote. He was very unlucky on that occasion having not been able to get a run and proved himself capable at the highest level when runner-up in the Prix Maurice de Gheest to Brando. Already a Group 2 winner in his career, he is versatile regarding conditions and the return to 7f looks ideal. Spirit Of Valor was another from the Goodwood race who didn't have the best of luck and a flatter track will benefit his chances.

Verdict

ACLAIM and Home of The Brave are clear on Timeform ratings and look the pair to concentrate on. Aclaim confirmed the promise of his earlier efforts when a good second at the top level at Deauville last time and earns the vote. Nathra looks best of the others.

Verdict

Hey Gaman and Red Mist fought out the finish of the Listed Denford Stakes at Newbury last time, and the closely matched pair look set to play a leading part once again here. The form of that race has been franked by the third landing a Turkish Group Three, while the fourth was a worthy second in a hot Haydock contest last weekend. Ballydoyle saddle two runners in Curragh winner Mendelssohn and Seahenge, who was chasing Expert Eye's shadow last time at Goodwood. The unbeaten Godolphin candidate Mythical Magic is sure to be popular and is foolish to dismiss, however, there was a lot to like about the way DREAM TODAY landed the Corvivial Stakes at York last time on his racecourse debut. That looked to be only scratching the surface of his potential and there should be plenty more to come.

Verdict

MYTHICAL MAGIC looks well worth his place at the head of the market. He showed the benefit of his debut when following up in a listed event at Deauville, and should take all the beating it taking a similar step forward. Red Mist is fancied to reverse recent form with Hey Gaman and heads the list of dangers, with impressive debut winner Dream Today also worthy of consideration.

Verdict

Sir Michael Stoute broke his St Leger hoodoo with Conduit back in 2008 and has campaigned his runner this year, Crystal Ocean, in a similar vein with the pair having won the Gordon Stakes at Goodwood as their final preparation for the race. The main concern would be over the colt's stamina for this test and the fact he is likely to prove a better horse next year when contesting top 1m4f events. Capri and Stradivarius both arrive on the back of successes at the highest level but the former missed his intended prep run in the Great Voltigeur due to a dirty scope, while the latter has shaped as though he would improve for going further as opposed to dropping back in trip. John Gosden's other representative, Coronet, makes some appeal with the St Leger test looking right up her street after a good effort when chasing home her stable companion Enable in the Yorkshire Oaks at York. Rekindling has some strong form in the book having beaten Wicklow Brave two starts ago at the Curragh before chasing home last week's Irish St Leger hero Order Of St George at the same track last month and looks to represent solid each-way value, but DEFOE ticks all the boxes in one of the most exciting renewals of the race in recent years. Roger Varian and Andrea Atzeni teamed up with Kingston Hill to land the prize in 2014 and this son of Dalakhani hasn't looked back since landing the London Gold Cup at Newbury back in May, returning to the same track last month and winning the Geoffrey Freer in good style. He has continued to progress at a rapid rate of knots, improving with each start with the step up in trip suiting, and any more rain will boost his chances for a team who have an excellent record at Doncaster.

Verdict
