Scoop6 Friday 23rd March 2018

The tote scoop6 is a fantastic pool bet which gives you the chance to win a fortune for a £2 stake.

The challenge is to select all 6 winners from 6 races during Saturday meetings.

If you meet this challenge you will win a share of the scoop6 win fund, which is frequently worth over £1 million, and you will also get the chance to play for the scoop6 bonus fund by picking the winner of a race the following Saturday.

Even if you fail to select all six winners you can win a share of the scoop6 place fund if your selections place in each of the 6 races. Even this lower prize has paid out over £1000 per winner 11 times in the last 12 months. All this for a £2 stake!

14/1, last of 11 in handicap at Roscommon (7.3f, soft). Off 7 months ahead of his polytrack debut and open to plenty of improvement if taking to this surface.

Verdict

Hes Our Music was touched off by half a length over this track and trip earlier in the month and is expected to be thereabouts off 1lb higher, though preference is instead for LADY ROSEBUD, who finished one place behind the first-named last time but has the benefit of a lower draw here and may be able to reverse the form. Alfirak kept on well at the finish when third over 7f here last time and has place possibilities now stepped up to a mile.

Verdict

HES OUR MUSIC may have the narrowest of edges here but will need to be at his peak to come home in front in this competitive field. Beau Satchel could well prove to be his biggest danger for Adrian McGuinness, though Lady Rosebud and even Short Stacked could also get involved close home.

Verdict

OUD METHA BRIDGE has been in good form recently at the track, having reversed form with Lacan when the pair met last month and he looks capable of defying the 4lb rise in the handicap. Georgian Bay has been running well without getting in the frame but he is on a fair mark if putting his best foot forward, while Badenscoth and Dragons Voice may have more to offer as four-year-olds.

Verdict

OUD METHA BRIDGE was certainly afforded an easy time of things when landing a C&D handicap last month, but positive tactics may well be the making of him, and in a race featuring several making their reappearance, he could be the answer. Professor lurks on a very handy mark and hasn't been with William Knight long, so is feared, with Dragons Voice open to progress this term.

Creditable 3rd of 16 in handicap hurdle (12/1) at Kilbeggan (19.5f, good). Off 7 months and modest on the Flat, easy enough to look elsewhere in this field and carries 14lb above his handicap mark.

Verdict

Plenty of these arrive here with valid claims but the preference is for CALIFORNIA LAD, who clearly failed to stay 2m last time out. Prior to that run the five-year-old had been running very well over 1m2f at this track and remains on what should be a workable mark. Sharjah has to be respected based on his recent C&D victory, while Commander Won is another with valid claims. Uncle Henry remains unexposed and could have a say despite carrying top weight.

Verdict

UNCLE HENRY has more room to improve than most, and as a course and distance winner the four-year-old has very little to find here, after a good second over further last time out with the front two clear of the field. Carried can emerge from the pack to provide the sternest opposition, leaving recent winner Sharjah as the likeliest for the minor placing.

Verdict

SOGHAN has slowly got the hang of things, was last seen winning a Wolverhampton maiden over this trip in December and may yet have scope for further improvement on his handicap debut for Richard Hughes. Take Two is a model of consistency who got back to winning ways at Lingfield on his latest start, while Muhtaris is interesting on his return from an absence for Ian Williams and a market check is warranted.

Verdict

SOGHAN appeals as the sort to carry on improving heading into handicaps, so he gets the nod. Native Fighter is gradually progressing and should continue to give a good account, with Take Two another capable of making his presence felt.

Not at best when last seen, but potentially well treated back in this sphere. Has had wind operation since latest outing.

Verdict

Brendan Powell holds a strong hand here with both Spiritofedinburgh and Hold Hands having more than solid claims, while Oregon Gift (was also engaged to run at Wolverhampton on Thursday) has run well on his first two outings for Charlie Mann and should go well once again. Bird For Life shouldn't be ruled out for Mark Usher and has gone well over the track and trip of late, but preference is for WALLY'S WISDOM, who scored well over course and distance last time and a mere 3lb rise gives John Jenkins' gelding the chance to follow up here.

Verdict

TOO MANY DIAMONDS was not at his best when last seen, but he’s had wind surgery since and is potentially well treated back in this sphere. He receives a tentative vote, with Wally’s Wisdom and Bird For Life heading the opposition.

Verdict

A tricky race to close the card but the nod goes to SPECIFIC GRAVITY, who was promoted to first place here last week having finished second past the post on that occasion. A 4lb rise in the ratings will make life tougher for the veteran today but he does have plenty in his favour. Nulife has shown some encouraging signs since returning from a break last month and has a solid each-way shout this evening. Lady Argentum and Lizard Point are others who merit consideration.

Verdict

NULIFE looks the value call in a tight looking contest and could get to the front where it counts if the race goes his way. Lady Argentum deserves a win but may have to settle for second again here, while Specific Gravity will run his usual game race and could well place.
