Modest maiden on Flat, best effort at 1¼m, looked hard ride again last time. Sold from Amy Murphy £3,300 in August and looks up against it now hurdling.

Verdict

COCKNEY WREN brings the best form to the table, having finished third in a Listed event at Kempton in October, and she may improve improve for a wind operation. The rest do not inspire much confidence at all but Better News and Blackdown Hills can pick up some place money behind the selection. Cliff Face was rated 95 at her peak on the Flat and she is a hurdles debutant to note.

Verdict

COCKNEY WREN stands out on form and is taken to resume progress on the back of a break and wind surgery. Cliff Face is related to a couple of fairly useful hurdlers so is one to consider in a race lacking depth, while Better News is one to keep an eye on moving forward.

Down the field in bumpers a year apart. Bred to be useful but may need more time now going jumping.

Verdict

LUNGARNO PALACE was an impressive winner on his hurdles debut last month and he was not disgraced when finishing third under a penalty at Kempton a few weeks ago. Don't Ask has yet to run a bad race over hurdles and he should give the selection plenty to think about, while Darcy Ward is another who should go well and he is the pick of the remainder.

Verdict

DON'T ASK has made a good start over hurdles and can get back to winning ways returning from a break. Lungarno Palace is feared most.

In touch when making a bad mistake 3 out at Towcester last time and had previously caught the eye at Chepstow.

Verdict

Royal Act has to be respected in his bid to secure a hat-trick of victories but a 10lb rise in the ratings for his latest success will make life tougher for him today. With that in mind, preference is for SPOILT ROTTEN, who has some good form to his name from last summer. The son of Kayf Tara finished second off a 3lb higher mark at Worcester last July and may improve for the switch to Fergal O'Brien's yard. Presenting Berkley is another who can go well after a lengthy layoff.

Verdict

SPOILT ROTTEN often makes mistakes and has stamina to prove but he's potentially on a good mark starting out for this yard so could be worth chancing. Badilou made a bad mistake last time but had caught the eye at Chepstow prior to that, while the in-form Royal Act goes for the hat-trick.

Verdict

JACKTHEJOURNEYMAN won a handicap chase at Huntingdon late last month and he could be hard to beat if in the same form this evening. Summer Getaway is an obvious threat to the selection following back-to-back second-placed finishes and it will be disappointing if he were to finish out of the frame today. Welluptoscratch needs to improve today but he has an each-way shout in a moderate event.

Verdict

LUBATIC has improved for the switch to handicaps of late, going for a long way as if his mark is a workable one, before underfoot conditions seemingly blunted his finishing effort at Plumpton latest. He's fancied to open his account in this sphere, with Summer Getaway and Lady Longshot possibly providing the best value of the remainder.

Has shown more temperament than ability so far, though latest effort wasn't devoid of promise back from a break. Chance if building on that.

Verdict

ANNDARROW has had a break since Boxing Day when the Philip Hobbs team were going through a rough patch. She is entitled to have benefited from both a 120-day absence and a wind operation on handicap debut in what looks a more than winnable race on paper. Bonza Girl shaped at Wincanton last time as though a step up in trip would benefit, while Hija is respected being only 1lb higher than when taking this contest 12 months ago.

Verdict

A wide-open handicap, but HIJA could be worth chancing to take this race for the second year running. She's only 1 lb higher than 12 months ago and conditions have come right for her on her return. Anndarrow is in a top yard so is a potential improver now heading into handicaps, while Neetside has solid each-way claims if seeing out this longer trip.
