Fair form on Flat for Charlie Appleby in 2015 but yet to make any impact over hurdles, going with little fluency on return at Doncaster last month. Blinkers on.

Verdict

Flobury is a consistent type who keeps bumping into well-handicapped rivals and he could face a similar story here with BANDON ROC fancied to land a quick-fire hat-trick. Kim Bailey's charge has gone up a further 7lb but connections are clearly keen to take advantage of his current good form and this rates as another decent opportunity, despite dropping in distance. Admiral Blake has Sam Twiston-Davies on board again and should give a bold account.

Verdict

BANDON ROC has returned from a break in great heart and a 7 Ib penalty shouldn't prevent a quick-fire hat-trick. Flobury is holding her form well and has sound place claims, whilst the booking of Richard Johnson bodes well for Benability returned to hurdles.

Showed much improved form when running out a wide-margin winner at Plumpton on Monday and is well treated turned out under a penalty. Big player if this doesn't come too soon.

Verdict

Act Now has gone up 7lb for her easy victory at Plumpton on Monday and she must be of interest if taking her place now under Aidan Coleman. Two Swallows is a consistent type and her trainer is 11-42 here in the last five years, but SOCKSY was mightily impressive when triumphant on her return to novice company recently and she has to be respected back in a handicap off a mark of 116. Fergal O'Brien's charge landed a bit of a gamble in the process and looks to have plenty of scope for improvement.

Verdict

ACT NOW bolted up at Plumpton on Monday and looks well treated turned out under a penalty, so commands maximum respect. What A Diva arrives at the top of her game also and isn't overlooked in her hat-trick bid, whilst Two Swallows remains with potential and is another to consider.

Heavy-ground bumper winner at Ffos Las in February 2015 but just modest form over hurdles. Chase debut.

Verdict

Yanmare had looked progressive before a poor run at Newbury in December but he returned to some kind of form with a game second at Warwick three weeks ago. The seven-year-old looks likely to be prominent once more and should go well. Wabanaki has some decent form but hasn't raced in 244 days and would be entitled to need this, so perhaps KRACKATOA KING can return to winning ways for Kerry Lee and Richard Johnson. The selection wears a first-time visor now dropped slightly in trip and can land a first victory since February 2015.

Verdict

KRACKATOA KING looked better than ever when runner-up at Chepstow last time on what was only his second outing for this yard and can go one place better despite the drop back in trip. Like the selection, Yanmare is better over further, but still rates the main threat ahead of Buttercup.

Runner-up 3 times in maiden points but hasn't shown much spark in a couple of runs over hurdles.

Verdict

SOLIGHOSTER made a winning start to his hurdles career when romping home by 17 lengths in a novices' hurdle at Fontwell last month and is expected to remain competitive now turned out under a penalty. Land League struck between the flags in November and likely has more to offer under Rules, likewise Midnight Bliss, who placed in a point-to-point last April but needs to leave behind both subsequent hurdles runs in order to figure.

Verdict

SOLIGHOSTER has made a good start under Rules, confirming his bumper promise when running out an easy winner on hurdles bow at Fontwell last month. He looks to have been found an excellent opportunity under a penalty and is hard to oppose. Land League may well be the one for the forecast.

Verdict

LUNAR FLOW runs under a penalty for his wide-margin success in first-time blinkers over 3m at Uttoxeter last time out and is difficult to oppose on the back of that performance with his headgear retained. First-time blinkers could perk up recent Taunton fourth Sweettoothtommy, who is also entitled to improve for this drop in grade. The Last Bridge makes some appeal on his Southwell third in November and could also take a hand.

Verdict

LUNAR FLOW seemed to be transformed by the blinkers when an easy winner at Uttoxeter on Saturday and is hard to oppose under a penalty. Sweettoothtommy and Leith Hill Legasi can battle for minor honours.

Well held in a couple of 3-y-o bumpers at the end of 2016.

Well held in a couple of 3-y-o bumpers at the end of 2016.

Verdict

ASTRAPAIOS shaped with plenty of promise on debut when third at Ffos Las and is expected to make the most of the weight he receives from penalised Chepstow scorer Cadeyrn to land the spoils. Storm Nelson is entitled to step up on his debut fourth at Ayr and could play a minor role, likewise Oliver's Island and Drumlee City, both of whom have shown promise between the flags. Racecourse debutants Corzeam and Whitley Neill are two others to monitor closely in the betting.

Verdict

The form of ASTRAPAIOS' Ffos Las third has worked out and he looks the way to go with improvement on the cards second time up. Chepstow-winner Cadeyrn has to be respected under a penalty, while Corzeam is an interesting newcomer for an in-form yard.
