Fair fourth of 8 in minor event at Lingfield (6f, good to firm) on racecourse bow earlier this month. Will appreciate this longer trip and holds solid claims.

Verdict

INDOMENEO made a debut full of promise when only finding one too strong at Newcastle last month and normal improvement might be enough to see Richard Fahey's colt get off the mark at the second time of asking. Newmarket raider Power And Peace is another to have shaped well first time out, this time at Lingfield, but she is drawn widest of all here. Deadly Reel could only manage sixth on her Doncaster introduction.

Verdict

This can go to INDOMENEO, who was an encouraging second on his racecourse bow at Newcastle last month and looks sure to improve, particularly over this longer trip. Power and Peace and Deadly Reel also shaped well on their respective debuts and can fight it out for the minor honours.

Remains a maiden but posted solid placed efforts last twice, latest when second in handicap at Catterick (12.1f, good to firm) 25 days ago. 3 lb higher now but is one for the shortlist nonetheless.

Verdict

Really Super was heavily backed for her handicap debut at Newmarket recently but she could only manage fourth and is beginning to prove frustrating now. That said, Migyaas doesn't look bombproof himself and connections reach for the visor with him having only managed third at Wolverhampton. The consistent Breakwater Bay looks a solid alternative but slight preference is for PLAGE DEPAMPELONNE who bumped into the progressive Dominating last time at Nottingham last time and doesn't meet anything of that calibre here.

Verdict

PLAGE DEPAMPELONNE produced her best effort yet when runner-up in a Nottingham handicap last month. The winner has scored again since, and she is fancied to land the spoils here. Really Super and Breakwater Bay look the most likely dangers.

Hasn't added to successful Pontefract debut (back in July 2015) in 14 starts since and made no impact on reappearance last month.

Verdict

Trinity Star continues to frustrate but there is no doubt that he is on a good mark if everything drops right, while Scottish Summit was trained by Sir Michael Stoute last summer and Geoff Harker will get the best out of this one in time. In a trappy heat, it could be worth chancing BOLLIHOPE, who was far from disgraced when fifth here two starts back and didn't get a race run to suit at Newcastle last time.

Verdict

TRINITY STAR hit the crossbar at Ayr last month and wasn't seen to best effect at the same course subsequently. Well below his last winning mark, he is fancied to return to winning ways here. Bollihope and Age of Elegance look the most solid alternatives.

Finished runner-up for fourth consecutive time when just beaten in 6-runner handicap at Brighton (8f, good) 7 days ago. Races off same mark here and looks sure to be on premises again.

Verdict

CHEERFILLY has run a couple of really good races so far season, finishing third in a warm maiden at Chester before only narrowly losing out at Musselburgh last time. She looks ready to win and her opening handicap mark of 75 appears fair. Beverley winner Rinaria cut little ice at Newmarket subsequently but should find this level and the better ground more to her liking, while the consistent Al Nafoorah and Dark Intention are others who could be worth considering.

Verdict

CHEERFILLY is less exposed than most of her rivals here and showed a fine attitude when just beaten at Musselburgh last time. On a fair mark, now sent handicapping, she is taken to open her account. Al Nafoorah and Totally Magic may give her most to think about.

Poor maiden who was always towards rear in 7f Carlisle handicap 11 days ago.

Verdict

A wide draw tempers enthusiasm for The Name's Paver but he has been going really well of late, as has Caledonia Laird and Cabal. Yarmouth third Steal The Scene is another for the shortlist but KENSINGTON PALACE still looks well handicapped and earns the vote. The four-year-old has been crying out for this longer trip when flying home for second and fourth over 6f the last twice now and he makes plenty of appeal for the in-form Majorie Fife team.

Verdict

AMERICAN HUSTLE was better than she was able to show on her Chester reappearance and might be worth chancing having gone close off higher marks previously. Cabal arrives on the back of a string of placed efforts and is likely to figure again, while Kensington Palace shapes as if the step back up to 7f will be in his favour and is much less exposed than the majority of these.
