Verdict

INGLEBY MOLLY followed up her C&D victory with a head defeat in second here last time and is seemingly thriving at present. She's been raised 5lb since but remains on an upward curve and is expected to show up well from a low draw. Peggie Sue went down by a head off this rating at Brighton last time and should go well if transferring that form back into this sphere, while Brockey Rise has slipped to a handy mark and is also worth a market check now sporting first-time blinkers.

Verdict

PEGGIE SUE and Ingleby Molly are recent C&D winners arriving on the back of runner-up efforts, so look the pair to focus on, with marginal preference for Adam West's filly. Boodley is surely capable of better given her pedigree and is best of the rest.

Verdict

MICRONIZE left behind his moderate novice efforts when fourth on his handicap debut over 5f at Ayr last time and is one to keep on the right side of, off the same mark, now the penny has seemingly dropped. Macho Lady finished sixth behind the selection in Scotland last time but has a wider draw to contend with here. Recent Lingfield third Wolstonbury offered more last time and could also take a hand if his wide berth can also be overcome.

Verdict

Not a deep nursery by any means, so a repeat of MICRONIZE's fourth-place finish in a stronger race than this at Ayr 10 days ago may well be enough. Macho Lady took a backward step in that same contest but she's better than that. Wolstonbury is another to consider.

First worthwhile form when 2¼ lengths second of 7 to Three Little Birds in handicap over C&D 14 days ago. Remains to be seen if she can back that up, however.

Verdict

THREE LITTLE BIRDS scored with plenty of authority off 6lb lower over track and trip when last sighted and is expected to take plenty of stopping as she bids to notch a double. Laubali is 4lb higher than when striking over 6f here on his penultimate outing so bigger dangers may be recent C&D second Go Sandy and Brandy Station, who picked up the silver medal off 2lb higher over this trip at Newcastle when last sighted.

Verdict

THREE LITTLE BIRDS took advantage of a drop in the weights when a decisive winner over C&D a fortnight ago. She still looks on a workable mark, despite a 6 lb rise for that victory, and can follow up. Brandy Station rates the principal danger.

Lightly-raced maiden. 11/2, good third of 8 in nursery at Haydock (7f, good to firm) 7 days ago, not clear run. Cheekpieces applied on tapeta debut and should make his presence felt.

Verdict

EYELOOL always looked to be doing enough in the finish when scoring over this trip in maiden company at Epsom last time and is expected to remain competitive off an opening mark of 79 now going handicapping. Gunforhire went down by under a length at Newbury last time and is considered the main danger off an unchanged mark. The pick of the remainder may be the consistent Critical Data, who makes his handicap bow.

Verdict

Having acquitted himself well in competitive nurseries at top tracks the last twice, GUNFORHIRE is a viable alternative to likely favourite Eyelool. Indeed, while it would appear that the latter is the one with the greatest potential, conceding a chunk of weight to Richard Hannon's charge may prove a bridge too far at this stage of his career. So Hi Storm should also have a part to play.

Verdict

The lightly-raced MOVING FORWARD has improved between runs in maiden and novice company and is expected to step up on his Windsor third last time now making his handicap debut. Blooriedotcom has been off the track since scoring over 1m2f at Haydock in May and is worth a market check on his return from a break, while The Throstles, raised 7lb for scoring over track and trip latest, is unlikely to be far away at the finish either.

Verdict

BLOORIEDOTCOM showed a really willing attitude when successful at Haydock in May, and if he returns from a break in that form he looks up to shrugging off a 6 lb rise. The Throstles landed a C&D contest 3 weeks ago and the runner-up has won since, so that looks a pretty solid performance.

Foaled February 9. €230,000 yearling, Mastercraftsman colt. Closely related to smart winner up to 1m Yellow Rosebud and 7f winner Late Rosebud. Dam unraced.

Verdict

AL MUREIB makes some appeal on his 7f debut second at Newmarket and although the drop back to 6f seemingly backfired at Goodwood last time, better is expected from the Dubawi colt, who is out of a Dalakhani mare, now he is stepped up in distance. Bo Samraan should be all the wiser for the experience gained on his debut at Sandown, while there could be better to come from recent Lingfield fifth Bug Boy now he's granted a stiffer test.

Verdict

AL MUREIB's dam stayed well, so this trip may well unlock more and he's worth another chance to build on the promise of his debut. There are some interesting rivals against him though, notably Bo Samraan and newcomer Artois

25/1, fourth of 7 in minor event at this C&D on debut 38 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Likely to improve.

Verdict

MOJIKA was beaten a short head in a handicap at Chester last time but the experience gained is unlikely to have been lost on her and she could feasibly go one better now returned to novice company. Lunar Corona was having her first start since undergoing wind surgery when scoring over C&D and is feared most, though With Good Grace offered some encouragement when fourth at Wolverhampton.

Verdict

LUNAR CORONA was well on top at the line in a C&D contest last month, and that race is working out quite well, so this well-bred filly may well be up to conceding 7 lb all round. Mojika didn't look totally at home at Chester last time but didn't go down by much and is the obvious danger.
