C&D winner. Eleven runs since last win in 2017. Bit below form fourth of 8 in handicap (5/1) at Newcastle (10.2f) 12 days ago. Back up in trip. Cheekpieces on first time.

Verdict

COMPATRIOT had been consistently running well when last seen in Ireland on the all-weather at Dundalk but now makes his first start for Olly Murphy and has the assistance of Lisa O'Neill in the saddle where he could appreciate the step up in trip. Bohemian Rhapsody is in good form at present having placed at Southwell and over hurdles at Lingfield last time, while Frozon could find improvement for Simon Walker's presence in the saddle.

Verdict

COMPATRIOT's pedigree (by a Derby winner out of a 9f winner) suggests this much longer trip could be in his favour and he's selected to make a winning start for new handler Olly Murphy, with confidence increased should the market speak in his favour. Cool Music shaped better than the result here last time and is on a favourable mark, while the selection's stablemate Sevilla is also respected.

Verdict

SUNSHINEANDBUBBLES bounced back with a good third here at the beginning of the month behind Ravenhoe and he still looks on a fair handicap mark to get back to winning ways, having won two on the bounce in December and January. My Fantasea was runner-up over C&D on his latest start and is respected along with Dor's Law and Let Me In, who has first-time cheekpieces to possibly eke out further improvement.

Verdict

The vote goes to MY FANTASEA, who was runner-up over C&D on just his second start for this yard 10 days ago. He remains on an attractive mark despite being nudged up 2 lb for that. Sunshineandbubbles has been in good heart in recent months and should be on the premises if reproducing the form of her latest effort, while Cat Royale is dangerous to discount and Top Offer is not without hope either.

Verdict

DESERT WIND has the valuable experience of having picked up two successes since the turn of the year and the son of Worthadd can put that to good use against several newcomers of interest. Warburton is a half-brother to Bow And Arrow who won several races for the same connections a couple of years ago, while others to consider include Moon Of Baroda and Elysees who are both bred to get better with time.

Verdict

Plenty of interesting newcomers and WARBURTON is taken to make his mark first time up for Godolphin. 500,000 gns yearling Moon of Baroda is another to make a fair bit of appeal on paper. Dual-winner Desert Wind could have his work cut out.

Verdict

Something Lucky has been a model of consistency over the past couple of weeks having won three of his last four starts and another bold bid is expected running off the same mark as he did last time. Berlios has been knocking on the door recently and warrants respect but THE AMBER FORT gets the vote having run better last time, albeit in a seller, and a first-time visor could just make all the difference.

Verdict

DESERT FOX wasn't seen to best effect when well backed at Kempton last time and can quickly resume winning ways. Something Lucky ran well from a bad draw here last week and is feared most ahead of Hamish McGonagain.

Verdict

REGINA NOSTRA sets the standard here having finished third on both starts and the Pivotal filly showed plenty of improvement at Newcastle last time when not beaten far. She should appreciate the step up to seven furlongs and looks a handy prospect for William Haggas and Tom Marquand. Persian Prize wasn't disgraced on debut and rates the main danger, while newcomers Stay In The Light and Cyclades are worthy of a market check.

Verdict

REGINA NOSTRA stepped up on her debut when third at Newcastle 12 days ago and this looks a winnable maiden, especially with further improvement forthcoming. Persian Prize looks the main threat judged on her debut second at Chelmsford, though newcomers Cyclades and Stay In The Light need keeping an eye on.

Verdict

It could be newcomers to the fore here, with Martin Meade's Raven's Pass filly Fabianski and the Hugo Palmer's contender Dieulefit both fancied to take close of order on their debut outings. However, it may pay to side with the experience of SWEET SYMPHONY, who despite letting down supporters when sent off favourite the last twice, has shaped with promise and looks a winner in waiting. Any significant support for the Queen's Craftiness should also be noted.

Verdict

Those that have run haven't shown a great deal yet so the 2 newcomers DIEULEFIT and Fabianski could well dominate, the former preferred before market clues.
