Foaled April 1. €70,000 yearling, 95,000 gns 2-y-o. Half-sister to 2 good sprinters, including stable star Sands of Mali. Has a Lowther entry and lots to like on paper.

Verdict

A very competitive novice race that looks sure to be won by an above-average performer and that may well be WORLD ORDER. The son of Society Rock struggled in the Windsor Castle last time out but that was no disgrace and his previous narrow defeat, over this course and distance, gives him a big chance this afternoon. Baldwin could prove to be the main threat, although Diamond Oasis and Flawless Jewel are two very interesting newcomers.

Verdict

FLAWLESS JEWEL's Lowther entry catches the eye and this half-sister to the stable's star sprinter Sands of Mali is taken to make a winning start without the benefit of market clues. Diamond Oasis is very interesting on debut for Saeed bin Suroor, who was 2-2 with newcomers at York last season. Baldwin might be the pick of those with experience, with World Order perhaps a shade vulnerable now.

Narrowly denied the hat-trick by the well-handicapped Mukhayyam here a fortnight ago, losing out on the nod. In the form of his life and set for another big run with rider claiming full 7 lb now.

Verdict

Mister Belvedere beat Pacify by just a neck when they met in the Queen Mother's Cup over C&D last time and it is easy to see them playing a part once again here. However, MUKHAYYAM, back in fifth that day, left that run behind him when getting the better of the multiple winner Framley Garth here two weeks ago and the course regular can confirm that form, as well as avenging his earlier loss.

Verdict

A very tricky handicap with plenty of recent C&D form to work through. PACIFY has tested the patience of backers for a while, but arguably should have won the Queen Mother's Cup which went to Mister Belvedere here last month, and he's taken to end his losing run with Danny Tudhope now up. Last year's winner Mukhayyam and Framley Garth are closely matched again and seem sure to go well once more.

Unable to take advantage of a good opportunity when runner-up in minor event at Redcar last time and is hard to recommend.

Verdict

The single best piece of form on offer is undoubtedly Could It Be Love's second behind Alpha Centauri in the Irish 1,000 Guineas and she has posted two solid placed efforts at this level since. However, PRETTY BABY is a filly with less miles on the clock, she looks to be improving all the time and could land this for a trainer that boasts an impressive 20% strike-rate with his runners at York over the last five seasons. The form of her latest success at Nottingham is rock solid, with the second (Classical Times), third and fourth all winning since and she looks capable of defying this further rise in grade. The Richard Fahey-trained pair of Maggies Angel and Marie Of Lyon are others to note.

Verdict

PRETTY BABY has progressed with each start thus far and left the impression she was ready for this grade when a ready winner at Nottingham last time. She can add another victory to her tally. Could It Be Love holds the best form credentials and looks a big danger, whilst Maggies Angel is also of interest.

Thumped his 5 rivals when landing an 8.4f Beverley handicap last week. This is a stronger race but he's almost certainly ahead of the assessor under a penalty and will take plenty of stopping.

Verdict

William Haggas has won the last two runnings of this contest and he holds leading claims once again with his handicap debutant JAHAAFEL, who got off the mark in style at Chepstow when routing the opposition by six lengths. Delph Crescent is dangerous under a 6lb penalty for his impressive 11-length win at Beverley, while the form of Give It Some Teddy's course win last month looks rock solid and he is another to consider from just a 4lb higher mark.

Verdict

Last week's wide-margin Beverley winner DELPH CRESCENT shouldn't be inconvenienced by going back up in trip and should prove a tough nut to crack under a penalty. The unexposed Jahaafel is feared most, while Give It Some Teddy, a winner here last time, the hat-trick seeking Maifalki and Pioneering all make each-way appeal.

Just modest form and never really been involved in the closing stages in 3 races over 5f so far. Been backed as if thought capable of better though and gelded ahead of this handicap debut.

Verdict

Oberyn Martell has shown very good form in three starts so far, having won his last two, and he continues to take steps forward with each outing. Kodyanna ran a respectable race when down the field in the Queen Mary behind Signora Cabello at Royal Ascot and is of interest on her nursery debut. The vote, however, goes to OONA as she is clearly better than what she showed last time at Windsor with a mark of 74 very fair.

Verdict

OBERYN MARTELL has created a good impression in winning his last 2 starts and might be able to defy top-weight now tackling a nursery. Kodyanna is a potential improver back down in grade for Richard Fahey, while Oona isn't without a shout.

Won C&D nursery last summer and has had plenty of racing since, below form the last twice.

Verdict

ORVAR bounced back to form with a solid third in a better race at Newcastle last time and is weighted to go well off 1lb lower now eased in grade. His stablemate, Tylery Wonder, boasts winning C&D form and strengthens connections' hand further after finishing a creditable second on his penultimate start here in the 'Jump Jockeys' Nunthorpe', a race which Fendale (first), Harome (third) and Excessable (fourth) all contested.

Verdict

HAROME was a fine third behind Fendale and Tylery Wonder in the jump jockeys' handicap over C&D last month and has a big shout back under Ben Sanderson, who won impressively on him at Haydock the time before. Last year's winner Excessable and Bashiba both ran well from trickier draws in the aforementioned race here and can make their presence felt.

Has caught the eye in 1m handicaps upon return this season, making smooth headway into contention from rear under 3f out at Redcar last time. Form of that race is useful and he makes plenty of appeal.

Verdict

BYRON'S CHOICE's win at Ayr last time can be upgraded given that he had gone up 4lb in a better race and Michael Dods' charge looks open to further progress despite a further 5lb hit. The three-year-old handles varying ground and looks to have a little more scope compared to a few of these. Inviolable Spirit arrives here in good form for Richard Fahey, while Red Cymbal has his second run since a wind operation.

Verdict

BERTOG is qualified for lesser races but has caught the eye to such an extent in 2 runs this year that he can't be ignored back down in trip and is taken to get off the mark. The hat-trick seeking Byron's Choice is a big danger, while Inviolable Spirit isn't without a chance.
