Congratulations to March’s ATR Ride Of The Month winner Shane Gray.
Shane’s fabulous effort aboard Man Of Verve Man Of Verve at Newcastle received the most votes from At The Races viewers.
Each month, the winning jockey chooses one of the sport’s most important charitable causes to receive a £500 donation from At The Races. The partners who benefit are the Injured Jockeys Fund, Irish Injured Jockeys, Racing Welfare, and the Retraining of Racehorses.
RIDE OF THE MONTH AND THE VOICE OF RACING PROJECT
In 2017, At The Races teamed up with the Sir Peter O’Sullevan Charitable Trust to create the Voice Of Racing with each £500 charitable donation going to the Voice Of Racing project on the jockey’s behalf.
The Voice Of Racing was a fundraising initiative allowing those who love horseracing to give something back to three of the sport’s most important charities - The Sir Peter O’Sullevan Charitable Trust and the UK and Irish Injured Jockeys Funds.
The focal point of the project was the inaugural Voice Of Racing Day on Friday 30th June which included a sponsored silence from Matt Chapman and Luke Harvey and Jason Weaver getting up to all sorts of shenanigans at Yarmouth.

ABOUT RIDE OF THE MONTH
Each month we will select the most impressive rides and give you the opportunity to cast your vote and crown the winning jockey. The jockey with the most votes will win a £500 cash prize*, plus they’ll also receive their own engraved ROTM Trophy.
The winning jockey will not only receive a £500 cash prize, but they’ll also be given the opportunity to choose from one of four key industry charities, and we’ll donate £500 to the charity they have selected.
The Injured Jockeys Fund
The IJF provide assistance to over a thousand jockeys who have suffered through injury and are unable to ride.
Irish Injured Jockeys
Irish Injured Jockeys raises funds and increases awareness of the requirement for public funding to provide for our injured jockeys. Irish Injured Jockeys works with individual cases and also supports The Jockeys Emergency Fund, The Drogheda Memorial Fund and The Irish Jockeys Trust.
Retraining of Racehorses (RoR)
RoR is British horseracing’s official charity for the welfare of horses who have retired from racing.
Racing Welfare is a charity that helps racing people in need, with support and advice on injuries, accidents, housing, benefits and pensions for staff who work in the industry.
Register your vote for ROTM and you’ll automatically be entered into a free monthly prize draw to win a £250 funded account courtesy of Paddy Power . Have your say and vote on attheraces.com and be in with a chance of winning this fantastic prize.
