Racing...Only Bettor

Episode 66 | Keep Your Hair On

£20 Free Exchange Bet

The Racing Only Bettor team are reunited and in flying, if somewhat hairy, form. There is plenty of action to get through and a cracking renewal of the ‘Clarence House’ at Ascot take centre stage with Politologue and Waiting Patiently set to do battle, while a former Betfair Tingle Creek winner, Defi Du Seuil, is on a recovery mission. It’s another JP McManus owner runner which all eyes will be on at 3.15pm in Haydock when former Champion Hurdle winner, Buveur D’Air makes his eagerly awaited comeback in the ‘New One’ Hurdle. Hugh has a big tip for the Albert Bartlett, TC needs to keep out of trees and Dan is still looking to back a winner.

Your host, Hugh Cahill, is joined by Tony, Dan and Barry Orr, who’s standing in for an MIA Kevin Blake. There is plenty of action to get through with top tips and insight on all the four ITV races from Warwick and three from Market Rasen. Plus comprehensive coverage of Envoi Allen, who’s running in Punchestown on Sunday and the ‘Moscow Flyer Novices’ Hurdle on the same card.

The weather may, ultimately, have the final say but the lads are ploughing on through an exciting weekend of Racing regardless. A competitive card at Kempton takes centre stage on Saturday with Ryanair Chase hopeful, Imperial Aura, putting his credential to the test but Kevin Blake raises some doubts about his jumping technique. The rescheduled Welsh National will be a true test of stamina and there are varied opinions on the big race, While the G1 Lawlor’s of Naas on Sunday could be a shootout between favourite, Bob Olinger, against the field. All of this, plus the weekends best bets.

The band are back together for one last swing at the fences before we say good riddance to 2020. The return of Gold Cup winner Al Boum Photo in Tramore on New Year’s Day is the highlight in terms of quality but there are better punting propositions across the 2 days and 14 races covered here. There is a fascinating card on a busy Saturday in Sandown where the ‘Tolworth’ is the feature event and the guys share their unique mix of insight and analysis to try and eke out some winners to start off 2021 in winning style.

Tony Calvin and Kevin Blake are joined by Barry Orr who is filling in for a sick Hugh Cahill. There is a special interview with Paul Nicholls on all his Boxing Day chances and a couple of additional horses he likes over the festive period. All the top action on both sides of the Irish Sea is covered with strong opinions backed up by quality analysis and insight. Happy Christmas to all our listeners.
