WELCOME to our Eyecatchers column. Every week Alan Thomson pinpoints horses primed to strike in the next few weeks, if not days. Remember, you can add Alan's weekly updates to your ATR Tracker.

DAVY DOUBT ATR Tracker
(Wincanton, 30th January)
Sent off joint favourite with eventual winner Jolly's Cracked It but lost little in defeat, the pair pulling clear of the pack. The five-year-old son of Kalanisi will probably stay a bit further than this minimum trip and looks useful.

MOONDAY SUN ATR Tracker
(Lingfield, 1st February)
A winner in France, Moonday Sun seems to be acclimatising well at Amanda Perrett's stable and did well from his wide draw to finish second to improving Rebellious Guest. Always prominent, the five-year-old stayed this mile trip stoutly.

VOYAGEOFDISCOVERY ATR Tracker
(Lingfield, 1st February)
Clive Cox's three-year-old colt looks a surefire maiden winner after being pipped on the line by Mr Bossy Boots. He stepped up on his initial fourth three weeks earlier and the front pair showed a nice change of pace to stretch clear.

MUHDIQ ATR Tracker
(Wolverhampton, 1st February)
Knocking at the door in fairly competitive sprints and posted another excellent effort when chasing home Swiss Cross in this Class 3 event. The five-year-old has a race or two in him.

DANGEROUS AGE ATR Tracker
(Kempton, 2nd February)
Returned from a 117-day break since rattling off a hat-trick in the autumn and was noticeably uneasy in the betting ring. However, she looked a most unlucky loser, just failing to catch Triple Dream after being checked at a vital stage. John Hills should squeeze another all-weather win out of his filly over the minimum trip.

TASTE THE WINE ATR Tracker
(Wolverhampton, 3rd February)
Has lost the winning habit but there might be a small staying event still within his compass. Was nibbled in the market in this 1m 6f apprentices' handicap but was given an ill-judged ride, trapped wide and racing full pelt from before the home turn. It was no surprise to see him hitting the wall down the straight and fading into fourth.
