WELCOME to our Eyecatchers column. Every week Alan Thomson pinpoints horses primed to strike in the next few weeks, if not days. Remember, you can add Alan's weekly updates to your ATR Tracker.

ADVANCE ATR Tracker
(Redcar, 4 November)
Has had to settle for second prizes on all three previous starts and Ruth Carr's gelding missed out again in this seven-furlong maiden. Advance was a little short of room over a furlong out but was staying on stoutly close home. A mark of 62 here makes him of interest when dropped into a handicap.

BE BOLD ATR Tracker
(Kempton, 5 November)
Impressive winner Four Seasons lit up bonfire night with an explosive performance in this nursery but Be Bold is something of a slow-burner ready to ignite in the near future. Richard Hannon's juvenile did well to grab second spot and this looks a strong piece of form.

YARD OF ALE ATR Tracker
(Wolverhampton, 6 November)
Having been despatched at odds of 25-1, 66-1 and 40-1 on his first three starts, it was interesting to note some market support (10-1) for Kristin Stubbs' three-year-old. Although cutting no ice in eighth behind the John Gosden-trained winner Gharaaneej, Yard Of Ale found plenty of trouble in running and this performance can be marked up.

FOXTROT ROMEO ATR Tracker
(Wolverhampton, 7 November)
Looks a Tapeta natural judged on this no-nonsense victory. Martin Harley tip-toed his way into the race and Foxtrot Romeo quickly asserted in the straight to leave his rivals gasping. Foxtrot Romeo was a decent sort on turf (fourth on previous start in the Ayr Silver Cup) but Marco Botti's five-year-old could prove a real all-weather specialist.

THE WALLACE LINE ATR Tracker
(Sandown, 8 November)
No great shakes on the level for Mick Channon but The Wallace Line has upped his game over hurdles. Despite the burden of a penalty for last month's Fontwell victory, Tim Vaughan's juvenile refused to down tools when headed in the home straight by winner Baron Alco, the pair pulling a country mile clear of the third. The Wallace Line should continue to pay his way if connections don't set their sights too high.

ANASTAZIA ATR Tracker
(Kempton, 10 November)
Always travelled like a dream for Luke Morris in this six-furlong nursery and quickly put the race to bed approaching the final furlong. Anastazia was chased home by fancied pair Stocking and Oriental Splendour, clocking a decent time in the process.
