(Chester, 12 July)
Formerly with Ralph Beckett but going great guns these days for Julie Camacho. Wilde Inspiration was pipped by Basil Berry at Doncaster on debut for his new trainer and duly mopped up a maiden next time at Newcastle on soft ground. The handicapper asked him to carry 9st 12lb here in a competitive handicap and the gelding ran on stoutly to chase home Andrew Balding's Comanchero, conceding 15lb to the winner. The ground had probably quickened up a little too much for Wilde Inspiration's liking and he looks sure to figure back under more testing conditions.

TEAK ATR Tracker
(York, 12 July)
There are few secrets about Ian Williams' stayer but the seven-year-old is usually a reliable yardstick in his grade. Teak became locked in a duel for the lead with Eagle Rock on the Knavesmire and they both paid a heavy price for their aggressive approach as they folded like cheap deckchairs in the straight. Teak will pop up again in his turn on turf or Polytrack.

(York, 12 July)
Remains a lightly raced four-year-old for William Haggas and the suspicion remains that he is capable of better than he has been showing this season. Queensberry Rules made no show in the Royal Hunt Cup, despite a serious gamble into 7-1 under Ryan Moore, and he didn't trouble the leaders here either, upped in trip to an extended 1m 2f. However, he travelled nicely positioned just behind the principals and wasn't knocked about by Seb Sanders. His loyal and exasperated backers may yet be rewarded before the year is out.

(Chester, 12 July)
Impressive winner over five furlongs at Newcastle a fortnight earlier, Pushkin Museum was stepped up a furlong and blasted out from his plum rails pitch. He showed all his early speed to assume control but his stride shortened at the furlong pole and he faded into third behind Jolly Red Jeanz. Pushkin Museum made every yard to score over the minimum trip at Kempton and Lingfield for Gary Moore last winter and he'll be hard to catch whizzing around a bend again. He looks just the type for Wolverhampton when the new Tapeta surface is operational.

(Salisbury, 12 July)
Only moderate but has been running to a consistent level in weak company. After two thirds at Bath inside six days, the filly was sent off favourite here under Richard Hughes and Assoluta travelled well at the head of affairs, hacking up the straight. However, she was soon tapped for speed when challenged by the chasing posse and would probably have benefited from a more forceful ride dropping in trip.

(Lingfield, 14 July)
Has slipped a long way since his five-length victory at Epsom a couple of summers ago from a perch of 75 for Eve Johnson Houghton. The five-year-old is now with Charlie Fellowes and he shaped encouragingly on his stable debut at Kempton in late April, when a close-up third. Now down to a mark of 60 and wearing a hood, Orders from Rome stayed on willingly from off the pace to hunt up free-running Cyflymder and heavily-backed Plough Boy in this Class 6 handicap. Needs a strong gallop to attack and he may yet have his day in the sun on the all-weather.
