Eyecatchers (20 January)

Guards Chapel (12-1), Kings Lad (5-2), Streets Of NewYork (2-1), Scarborough (11-8) plus Thistlecrack (5-4) were all previous Eyecatchers to win last week and form expert Alan Thomson has identified six more winners in waiting to add to your ATR Tracker.

WELCOME to our Eyecatchers column. Every week Alan Thomson pinpoints horses primed to strike in the next few weeks, if not days. Remember, you can add Alan's weekly updates to your ATR Tracker.

TEO VIVO ATR Tracker
(Musselburgh 16 January)
Hacked up previously at Kelso but an 11lb rise made life tougher. In the event, Pauline Robson's grey found Streets Of NewYork too strong down the straight but it might have been a different story had Teo Vivo not lost his footing at the third last when still travelling comfortably. He is clearly thriving this season.

TIGERS TALE ATR Tracker
(Lingfield, 17 January)
Has hit the bar three times since scoring at Kempton in September but Roger Teal's six-year-old continues to run well in defeat. This time he split useful duo Lunar Deity and Melvin The Grate, conceding the bang in form winner plenty of weight.

TRADER JACK ATR Tracker
(Lingfield, 17 January)
Has fallen out the back of the television set in most of his recent runs but this seventh to Glastonberry was a bit more encouraging. Having his fourth outing in just 17 days, the six-year-old has proved friendless at whopping odds of 20-1, 33-1, 33-1 and 50-1 and has been dropped out from the stalls. However, David Flood might be able to rekindle some of Trader Jack's latent talent now that his mark is dropping fairly fast.

PABUSAR ATR Tracker
(Kempton, 18 January)
The seven-year-old was the subject of support in morning exchanges but drifted alarmingly before the off and was never sighted, finishing 10th to Jolly Red Jeanz. Formerly with Ann Stokell but having his first run in 175 days for new handler Richard Guest, Pabusar is probably a bit better than this lame effort would suggest. In the dim and distant past he was a 105-rated horse for Ray Beckett and is worth a careful watch in low-grade affairs for his shrewd stable.

TYCHAIOS ATR Tracker
(Kempton, 18 January)
Most consistent gelding for Stuart Williams, operating between five and seven furlongs, but this was one of his rare glitches. In mitigation, Tychaios was trapped wide under his 7lb claimer and could never strike a blow behind winner Ocean Legend. This was his first start in 44 days and granted better luck with the draw he can resume winning ways.

UCHENNA ATR Tracker
(Wolverhampton, 19 January)
Finished stone cold last of 14 at odds of 25-1 when previously seen at Glorious Goodwood, so this victory over hot-pot Persona Grata came as a shock to most punters. However, there didn't appear any fluke about the manner in which Uchenna cut down the odds-on jolly and David Simcock is probably looking to run her again fairly quickly under a penalty.
