Having overcome greenness to make a winning debut at Nottingham, there looks to be more to come from Ash Tree. Blue Flight must also shoulder a 7lb penalty after scoring on her opening bid at Yarmouth and the pair shouldn't be taken lightly. However, in receipt of weight, SORRENGAIL could find the necessary improvement after finishing a never-nearer fourth on her first career start at Newmarket. Speed of Sound was ahead of the selection in third that day and merits respect, while newcomer Sweetwonderfulyou warrants a market check.

Little separates Silver Dominion (fourth) and Alfred Wallace (fifth) judged on their recent Superlative Stakes encounter and they should prove more competitive now eased in class, but debut winner SONNY PARVENUE could be open to more improvement. Richard Hannon's colt scored a shade cosily at Salisbury and this extra furlong won't pose any issues. Gymbaazy defied market expectations to make a successful start to his career from a difficult position at Sandown and is also of interest.

KIRCHNER improved for the step up in distance when runner-up in the Northumberland Plate and compensation could be imminent. A 2lb nudge up the ratings is unlikely to halt the four-year-old's progress and he's taken to repel reopposing Newcastle third Synergism. Sir Mark Prescott's gelding was just under two lengths behind the selection and a swing in the weights may bring him closer. Fireblade also arrives in good heart and shouldn't be far away.

AL AZD has been hugely progressive since being gelded and arrives following a career-best effort in the King George V over C&D at the Royal meeting. On all known evidence, 1m4f has proven to be his best distance and an 8lb rise doesn't appear likely to stop him. Study Of Words didn't seem to get home when tried over an extended 1m6f at Doncaster and has every chance of bouncing back, while Merveilleux Lapin and French Duke are others worth considering.

Illy's Roo returned to winning ways over a mile at York a fortnight ago, but a 6lb rise may leave him vulnerable to an improver in the shape of MR WRITER. James Fanshawe's gelding arrives seeking a third win from his last four starts and is expected to have more to offer after going up 4lb for his Leicester success. Havana Blue went close over C&D on his latest effort and is likely to be in the mix once again.

Paradise Walk broke the maiden tag at Windsor before following up in a Nottingham handicap and Ralph Beckett's filly commands the utmost respect seeking the hat-trick. That said, a chance is taken with LARA ANTIPOVA. She might not have been completely in love with the track at Newmarket last month when hanging right in the closing stages, and the drop to 5f may yield some improvement too. It is also too soon to be writing off Desert Treasure, who is entitled to step forward from her latest effort at Newmarket.
