The plan is to run Archivist in the Royal Hunt Cup. We obviously bought him off William Haggas and then promptly gelded him. As you’ve seen a lot of those Dubawis are better for that and I think he’s got the chance of stepping into being a Stakes horse. Obviously, he’s off 105 but he won impressively in Dubai on his last start and I think he goes there with a solid chance.

The Hardwicke Stakes is obviously going to be a very difficult race to win but this is a horse we hold in high regard. He won well at Paris Longchamp when beating West Wind Blows three wickets and that takes some doing. We think he is potentially a Group 1 horse, but he is going to have to be as the Hardwicke is a Group 1 race in all but name every year.

Blue Brother was backed from something like 100-1 to 13-2 last year for the Hunt Cup. He was a horse we believe has a high level of ability. He hasn’t run since last-year’s race, but his work has been very good. It would be a phenomenal training performance if Hamad could get him to win after a year off, but I would back him to do and certainly back him to have this horse in the best condition to run well. I think he’s on a handy mark off 98 and the ability he shows at home.

First time out for Hamad he was fresh and we brought him back to seven furlongs at Epsom and it worked out great. It was Hamad’s first winner at Epsom and that was a special day for us. He’s gone up 6lb and is better with some ease in ground, but we will probably let him take his chance in the Buckingham Palace as he is in such good nick.

Damysus ran in the Lockinge, but James didn’t feel he was probably at his best. He was drawn on a wing, but I am not sure how much of an excuse that was. I think Opera Ballo will go a good pace in the Queen Anne Stakes, but it will also help Notable Speech as well. We are going to have to step forward to be there in the finish but he’s a colt that we do hold in high regard. We want one more crack at a mile, it’s a stiffer mile than Newbury, and I would imagine the most likely outcome is that we’ll be going up in trip after this.

He is a colt that has always shown a decent level of ability, and he won well on his seasonal reappearance at Kempton. He was drawn on the wrong side at Ascot and is in the Buckingham Palace Stakes off a nice mark of 96 in a hugely competitive race. I think we could see him running a decent race.

He moved from John Gosden to Hamad last year and, basically, when he ran at Newmarket on his seasonal reappearance he didn’t handle the Dip. Billy (Loughnane) rode him the other days at Kempton and he actually won quite nice. We going to step him up in trip in the Copper Horse and go from a mile and a half to a mile and six. That’s certainly going to be as far as he wants to go.

Evening Saigon may well run in the Wokingham. He’s probably better with ease in the ground and we will decide whether he’s going to take his chance closer to the time. He’s lightly raced, still progressive, and off a handy mark if we decide to run.

She’s a star for us and she’s been knocking on the door in these big Sprints for the last couple of seasons. We were lucky enough to win the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee last year with Lazzat and she was third with plenty behind her. We were keen to get her head in front and took her to Newmarket for a Listed race dropped back in class. The form has been boosted by George Boughey’s filly Rosy Affair since. I can see her running a big race but is she quite good enough to win it? Andrew says she’s working brilliantly so you’ve got to give it a go.

He won the Golden Gates last year in impressive fashion. We have no idea whether he’s going to stay two and a half miles in the Queen Alexandra, but he switches off and I don’t think there’ll be any trouble with him just lolloping around. He should be the class horse in the race.

She is a talented filly who will be coming over from France. She won the Prix Sandringham last year and she’s got a very good turn of foot. It looks like it’s going to be a very competitive renewal of the Duke Of Cambridge but she ran a lovely prep race when beaten a short neck by Mandanaba and the winner has since run very well in America when finishing second in a Grade 1. A lot of pace would help her and, hopefully, she can run a good race.

He’s a total legend and has won at two Royal Ascot’s in a row. He won the Wolferton last year and the Jersey Stakes the year before. Whether he can make it a third I don’t know. Richard’s say he’s taken a long time to come in his coat. I thought he ran a very good prep race at Goodwood before getting tired and I am sure the one thing about him is if he somewhere there a furlong out he will battle.

He obviously gave us a big day a couple of years ago in the Champion Sprint. Last year was disappointing because he just never got a clear run and always had little niggles. I think his comeback run in the Minster Stakes was very good and the team seem him with him. James (Doyle) rode work on him the other day and said he’s bouncing. He can take his form to another level at Ascot, and we are looking forward to seeing him. I think he’s got a big chance.

I am very sweet on this lad and he’s done nothing wrong. He has improved a lot for gelding and showed enormous speed and stride length in the Palace House and, most importantly, batted when Rumstar came to him. That was the most pleasing thing for me because last year we definitely questioned his resolution. I would say he has improved massively for gelding and he went up to Haydock for the Temple Stakes and everything went wrong there and still managed to win under Cliff. That told us he is not one-dimensional and if James feels there’s a crazy pace he doesn’t have to be on that. He’s a very exciting horse to watch and I’m excited about his chance in the King Charles III Stakes.

He has always been held in very high regard by William Haggas and has just taken awhile to piece it together. He’s a late maturing type and he is bred to be really good being by Frankel out of Izzi Top. We were going to go to Haydock but that obviously got abandoned and we were panicking but it then got rerouted to Carlisle. I didn’t think that the track would suit him, but I said to William that we had no choice. He won there really nicely, and he has gone up 8lb to 100. That’s probably a good think as I think it will be quite hard to get into the Copper Horse and I think a lot of those horses will now knock onto the Duke Of Edinburgh. I think he should go there with a big chance.

Realign has been a bit of a difficult character but shows plenty of ability and we have kept out faith in him. Again, we didn’t think that Carlisle would suit him, but he won well and has gone up from 92 to 98. I still think there’s more leeway in his mark and the way the race sets up in the Wokingham, it should suit him.”

She is a new purchase for us and a filly we’re very excited about. We bought her with the option of going for the Kensington Palace. They didn’t put her up much for her run in Ireland and I think with a bit of luck she could have won, and it was a strong race. She’ll take her chance and I hope she is a stakes filly running in a handicap.

I’m very sweet on this lad. He’s been a slow burner as you would expect for a son of Cracksman, and he did nothing wrong last year. Saffie Osborne gave him a beautiful patient ride when winning at Haydock last September and we decided to put him away after that. The Copper Horse has been the plan for a long time, and he went up to Hamilton and got into all sorts of trouble and still managed to win. He got 8lb for that, but he is a progressive horse and one I am very sweet on. You’re straight into the bend at Ascot and let’s pray for a good draw.

He is another horse I like a lot and everything went wrong at Haydock in the Sandy Lane. He ended up caught in a wing. The winner has beaten us three lengths and it will be very hard to turn that around, but I think the race set up at Ascot will suit him much better. He ran very well in the Commonwealth Cup Trial - was draw on the far side and ended up coming across and flew late. That was the best run of his career, and I think he’s got a really big each-way chance.

Precise has gone and improved enormously from Newmarket to win the Irish 1,000 Guineas and the Coronation is going to be a very difficult ask. I think we are starting to lean towards the Jersey.

She was well fancied for the Queen Mary last year after winning impressively at Nottingham on her first start. She was tricky mentally and we give her a very long winter off and she actually gone to a lady called Holly Campbell who looks after my wife’s Hunter. She’s come back very, very chilled and her work is showing that she retains ability. It would be a phenomenal training performance by Karl, but she shows she can go well fresh and will be an interesting runner in the Holyrood House.

She was bought at the Breeze-Ups and I was very pleased with her at Lingfield. Jamie Spencer gave her an absolute peach of a ride - she was drawn there on the wing, and he gently took her back and just came between horse and gave her the most perfect debut. She won going away by four and a quarter lengths. I think there was a lot left in the tank and I think she will get six furlongs but the stiff five at Ascot in the Queen Mary could be ideal for her in terms of stamina at this stage.

He is another Breeze-Up purchase and he went up to Haydock but it was a bit of a mess really. It was soft ground and he ended up too much on the pace and it was a bit of a non-event. We are going to run in the Windsor Castle Stakes as there are restricted conditions this year. I think he is a big sleeper, and I see him running a big race at a big price.

She ran in the Hilary Needler at Beverley and Paul Mulrennan gave a beautiful ride. He didn’t panic after it didn’t happen for her and really looked after her. She, basically, came in on the bridle and then galloped past them after the line. There’s a lot of entries in the Queen Mary but if she gets a run, then well give her a shot at that.

She was another Breeze-Up I purchased from Arqana. It’s always a very tight turnaround getting these from Arqana to Ascot, but we did it a couple of years ago with Shareholder and we are having another crack with this filly in the Albany. She only went to Carlisle about 80% fit and Karl said she was very undercooked. I was important for James to win on her as easily as he could and she sat behind three colts that had a decent enough level of form and she cruised past them in the style of a high -lass filly. I think she’ll step up massively for that on fitness and experience. She’s a big bullet and she’s got a great temperament. She’s a filly I have a huge amount of time for.

The plan was to run him before we did but he had a tiny setback and Hamad, rightly, just didn’t want to take any risks. He was an expensive Breeze-Up horse who’d shown a huge amount of ability in his work, so we had to wait until Hamilton. It’s a very tight turnaround at six days but I was involved with one of John Gosden’s a few years ago called Ardad and he did it in six days, and another, Perfect Power, who won there on an eight-day turnaround. James gave him as easy a race as he could and it was very easy and I mean no more than a piece of work really. It’s absolutely up to Hamad and his team but he has come out of sound, eating and has the most amazing temperament. If he puts his hands up and says I’m ready, we’ll let him take his chance in the Coventry and any slight question he won’t run as he’s a very nice horse for the future, but I hope we can get there with him.

He made a very impressive debut up at Ayr and the filly that was second to him went on a won the Hilary Needler and has given the form a big boost. He dealt with her pretty easily and he would have to have a big chance in the Coventry Stakes. Aidan’s coming over with a couple of very impressive colts and there’s going to be a big field, but I hope he one of our big two-year-old bullets.

She went up to Carlisle and won by ten lengths first time out on soft ground. It’s a very hard thing to do but she was extremely impressive. James is very taken with her, and Karl has a very high opinion of her. I hope she can go the Queen Mary with a big chance.
